Man, there comes a point when you just need to replace the brakes on your own with your own cash. It's only a few hundred bucks for some good quality rotors/pads. STOP USING THE CRAPPY OEM BRAKES!!
My plan is to just replace the front rotors/pads soon with wagners. Why continue to waste your time at the dealer using crappy oem parts? Even if it is covered under warranty, wasting 4-6hours at the dealer each visit would cost me more in work hours missed than just replacing them with my own parts that will last years. That's my opinion on the matter at least.

In case anyone is interested. US sourced projectors I found on E Bay. Cheaper than the stuff from China.

Are you sure your radio has the u connect, hands free modual? I know when I bought my 09 all the phone and hands free buttons were there, but not hands free modual to make them work. Even the dealer was surprised. They ordered and installed the modual for free and now it works great. I have an iPhone 5 running 8.2 and it works great....hope this helps

My 09 with 60,000 miles had the leather drivers seat start to crack/peal on the side in two spots. Every other seat is perfect. I maintain the leather with leather cleaner and protector. Even the drivers seat is clean and not worn. Took it to the dealer, took pictures, dodge told me tuff crap. Another feather in the cap of Dodge customer service. I was looking for a 50/50 deal or something, they told me to pound salt.

That is how the Blue Streak Pearl is supposed to look. You have to compare sections at the same angle as reflections in that paint REALLY make a difference in it's appearance. The sections at the same angle towards the lense all look identical from one panel to the next. As the light/angle changes, the paint appearance changes, but that's unavoidable - freshly waxed at night in a parking lot, it looks black!

And when it does and the engine overheats and you have a $3,000 repair or have to replace the vehicle, you have no one to blame but yourself. Cars break. Get over it. It's a component that ANYONE can fix in their driveway with little more than a set of pliers.

Not really hacking anything, pulling vehicle metrics (the same thing apps do on the android/apple market) and doing a basic replay on the start and stop command that the key fob does. now, if I was changing the way the car functioned, i'd be rolling into hacking. My plans are to take a few things the vehicle already does, and allow them to be done beyond the range of the key fob. I see nothing wrong with that

Ordered the parts online cause the dealer insisted only the entire sun visor was available. Cost under $3 for the parts, about $7 for shipping. Order one, it has both sides in the kit. Took about a week to get, and about 30 seconds to install! That's for the info!

You need a new radiator core support. That's the piece of plastic that is cracked. Don't be surprised when they tell you that the lower frame rails are out of alignment. Don't take the vehicle back from the body shop until they have verified it is straight.
You most likely have frame damage there. I'm not sure how a diminished value claim works up north, but you need to go after that guy for the loss in value of your vehicle after the repairs are completed. Resale value of the vehicle is lost forever as a result of frame damage that will appear in any reputable history check. If the other driver is at fault (and depending on how the law works where the collision took place), they may be legally obligated to make you "whole" (pay for your repairs, rental reimbursement, and pay for any loss in the value of the vehicle as a result of their negligence).
If you haven't done so already - get a new car seat/booster seat/whatever-your-daughter-was-riding-in! Insurance should pay for it. Car seats are only built for one collision.

Years ago I bought a bunch of 2L bottles on sale, and kept them in the plastic tray they are transported to the store in, into the shopping cart. Cashier didn't notice and got out of the store with that tray. Very handy when I go to get soda as I take it with me and keep in the back of the car. Bring the bottles out loose in the cart and put them in the (stolen) tray. Me bad.

My experience with Evap codes is check the gas cap first. I've thrown these codes and checked everything but the gas cap. Only to find out it was indeed a loose/faulty gas cap. Not sure if all vehicles will do this but in my experience it has been the case numerous times.
Even if you don't plan on working on your car yourself I would recommend a scanner. Especially being so affordable nowadays.

Hate to say it but if your door was open into a traffic lane, you are at fault, even if the other guy crossed4 lanes to get there! More importantly no one was hurt and it's not a difficult repair for a good shop. Happens all the time.

I agree. Look into the clock spring recall. There was also a recal for a wire loom, but I think that's was to the drivers door. If you try to fix it yourself, be careful of the airbag! Good luck!

Ditto on the "some states require them". I think more and more states (27 now at one count) are going that route, and I for one, agree with safety concept. I turned my lights on with the wipers back eons ago when first learning to drive. Any inclement weather, rain, snow, dust storms, etc., anything I can do to be more visible to other drivers is increasing my safety. While you may think that DRLs cover the bill, what about the back end of the vehicle? I suspect it won't be a lot longer before "lights on for safety" will be set from the factory and won't be able to be switched off, most motorcycles, IIRC, come that way now. I don't use my headlights on sunny days on the cars, probably should (I do have DRLs and won't own a car without them), but, the before I release the air brakes on the motorhome, the full set of lights go on. In fact, I wish that they were automatic...motor on, all lights on; it would save me having to remember (though it is automatic now).

Some states require lights on with wipers, such asIllinois. D R L's don't count. When the headlights are on auto and u turn the wipers on, they come on. You can adjust the dash lights to full on by adjusting the dimmer.

OhareFred got a reaction from dhh3 in no volumn on radio, just quit
My thinking when I said remove the positive cable was that the radio has its own ground wire. if the positive is still attached, the radio may not reset because it may ground itself, UNLESS you disconnect at the battery. I said disconnect at the jumping post. I also assumed that it he poster would know not to let the cable touch metal, which was poor judgment on my part! Although, I think just about everyone who's turned a wrench has had the exciting experience of shorting the positive cable/wrench and seeing sparks and didn't blow up the car...lol

Try resetting radio dis disconnecting positive battery cable for 30 mins. Worked for others. You can disconnect it at the jump point.

I don't think the flashlight (torch) cause the battery drain. Mine pops half way out all the time. I'll go in the rear and find it that way. If it's not all the way locked in, it won't charge. Nice diagnosis on the bad cable!

They dont put break in oil in vehicles anymore. Change it whenever you feel like it and dont worry about the indicator then. I'm the same way. Change 5000 miles/6 months. Light has never come on. There's a bunch of threads on the subject and a bunch of different opinions. Do what makes you happy.
