    There was a recall for the drivers door harness and one for the steering column loom but I don’t think there is one for the  gate loom...

    I purchased a 2014 DJ Crossroad 2 months ago. I never considered AWD, because as soon as I saw this Copper Pearl beauty, I knew I had to have it. This is my first non 4wd vehicle in over 20 years. I had a Bronco II, Subaru, 2 Ford Explorers, Jeep GC, Jeep Liberty, Dodge Durango (Lemon), Jeep Commander with QD II - wow! (forced to sell it because of my wifes health), and finally a Dodge Nitro that I bought new in 2011. So, now the Dodge Journey. Winter is coming - soon, I think because some of the trees are already turning here in NE Indiana. Will I be OK with FWD or do I need to trade it for an AWD? I realize that I will loose $ doing this, but I only have 1,200 miles on the DJ so far. Any advice will be helpful.
    I did read it is better to start in 2nd. Thanks But a search of the internet provided nothing except cars for sale or reviews.

    I have the chrome clad wheel covers too...almost 60k miles on them. Mine are still in perfect condition. They get washed every month or so with auto soap and wheel scrubber brush. Nothing else besides that.
    Although my sunny california location probably helps . Only seen snow in this vehicle for probably 2 weeks since I've owned it.

    It amazes me that there is so much of a difference in the service provided by dealers and Chrysler doesn't address the problem. There's nothing worse than having a dealer that fails to make customer service a priority. I know there are some customers that are a pain in the butt and are never satisfied, but I think for the most part we just want the same treatment after the purchase as before. Chrysler and all other car companies really stand to lose sales because of inept or lackadaisical dealer service. Journeyman425 is a great example of a dealer representative that gets it. It's a shame others haven't figured it out!

    Oh, BTW... I ended up buying the pre-cut front pieces on eBay and I'll apply them myself. They were $25.00 including shipping to Canada where the local shop wanted $80 + tax. Their price for the wind vent shades and hood deflector were much more reasonable, $75 + tax each including installation so I have an appt for Friday to have them installed.

    Leaking on sunroof is not acceptable in my point of view... If i knew i will get wet in the rain while driving my brand new journey i would rather buy a bike instead...

    Hi,
    I want to install an aftermarket subwoofer and I need the wiring diagrams to know wich wire to tap for the speaker signal. I don't want to mess too much with the wire behind this unit ( 4.3 uconnect ) I have the standard 4 speakers no amp setup. Anybody can help ?

    Thanks for input guys! Went to Kal tire which happens nearest to my place. They said tire might picked up nail or something and they repaired it for free. Offered me change oil for $66 including tax which i refuse for now because i still have one free oil change from the dealer! I inquire about using synthetic oil and he said it will easily jump to $100+. Never realized that synthetic is that expensive.

    Thanks DC. I'm planning to make an appointment at my dealer and I'll insist on taking a service advisor or tech out on a test drive to demonstrate the issue so that I can make sure they understand when and where it's happening.

    I hate when I purchase a new car only to find a scratch or dent after I get home. Its so easy to miss something when rushing through the sale. Good Luck!!

    Mine is showing track and time on usb and cd but not on bluetooh. you cant even fast forward when in bluetooth but you can skip songs..

    just my added thought ..... my '12 R/T has also had its fair shares of issues .... it seems to like to be in the shop at least once a month. My brake service was due at 35,000, had that done and everything checked out "GREAT!" ...... 3,000kms later, front pads and rotors absolutely shot ! .... We raised hell with the dealer and got absolutely no where, they were flat out rude ... contacted Chrysler Canada and they were really great with helping us !! .... after the dealer flat out told us there was "nothing they can do" about the brakes, even after I brought up HOW can they go from "GREAT!" to being shot and needing replacement in less than 3,000kms ?? .... Chrysler Canada called them and laid down the law with this crummy stealership and 3 days later I had my R/T booked in to have the brakes replaced.
    While it's still in nearly monthly (latest was replacing BOTH drivers side windows ... never had to do that to any vehicle ive ever owned)
    Good luck ! .... Chrysler Canada will do whats right ... they came through for me.

    Re-reading many of these posts, it sounds to me like there is a basic issue with the amplifier's crossover network - as if there is a gap between the lowest frequencies the 6x9's in the door speakers can reproduce and the highest frequencies the sub can produce. Let's say, for example, the 6x9's low frequency response goes down to 300Hz and the sub's frequency response extends up to 300Hz. The crossover should direct any frequencies below 300Hz to the sub and not the 6x9's. Based on what I'm reading, the crossover is not directing the upper bass frequencies to the sub and instead the 6x9's are trying to reproduce them but cannot. Meanwhile, the sub sits idle because nothing is being directed to it except the very lowest frequencies. Now, I'm definitely armchair QB-ing this issue since I don't even own the car yet - but I'd be willing to bet there is a basic flaw in the crossover network's architecture based solely on the consistency of the complaints I've read. I should really reserve judgement until I hear it for myself, though...

    I'm disappointed to read the comments about the poor sound. Despite the fact that I work for a dealer, I've never had the opportunity to sit in one of the newer Journeys and actually listen to the sound. We currently do not have any in stock and the last one was not equipped with the upgrade. Honestly, if it were a stand-alone option I would have skipped it because its not that important to my family who will be riding in it most times while I'm at work. We wanted navigation and the ParkSense system with the camera and the Alpine system is bundled with it. I was excited to sit and listent to some music in the car once we get it (any day now) but now my expectations have been lowered somewhat. I rechecked TSB's for my VIN and I am current with all software, so this latest TSB does not apply to me. I'll let you all know how mine sounds.

    That is spanking wow! The paint looks like a glass to me! Im obsess also, but i always fail to make mine that shiney. I use liquid wax every week! I dust it with quick detailer every two days and paste wax every 4 months! I dust it with california duster every day! Am i missing something?? It looks like your having a clear coat but as i understand copper also has pearl coat like my briilant black pearl coat!
