DodgeCACares got a reaction from Devin Riches in Uconnect Bluetooth and iPhone 4S
Devin Riches,
If you shoot me a PM with the last 8 characters of your VIN, I can check the sales codes of your vehicle to verify the equipment on your Journey and capabilities.

jkeaton - Someone had to do it lol
seanton - This information would be found in a service manual, if not, your local Dodge service facility is always at your disposal.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from weasey31 in KEY FOB SENSOR
Tito Mon,
Sorry to hear you're having troubles with the key fob.
The switch itself may be problematic and/or worn out.
At this stage, I would recommend having your dealer look at both the key fob and your vehicle to verify what the issue may be.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from BrianS in Hi from sunny Southern Ontario
BrianS,
Welcome to the forum!
Id' recommend visiting one of the local dealers here in the Windsor area and test drive a new Journey.
This way you'll be able to test a few out and see what your needs may be as far as accessories and options go.
Good luck with your search !!!

DodgeCACares got a reaction from Potlicquor in Need Help from Journey Owners
Sheldon Doyle,
Welcome to the forum.
After reviewing the oil pressure specification for the 3.6L Pentastar, your vehicle seems to be within the normal value range for cold start up.
Keep in mind the oil pressure is always going to be on the high side on start up, especially in colder conditions due to increased oil viscosity.
However, it would be beneficial to visit your dealer again to monitor after a cold start considering you've issues.
Other members will chime in and hopefully share some data as well through their observations.

Journey_SeXT,
Check with your local dealer, are you hearing the noise as well?

A dealer can check your VIN# to see if all RRTs and
recalls have been completed.

DodgeCACares reacted to bramfrank in I want to purchase the factory navigation system
Again - and not to try to contradict what DodgeCACares and dhh3 wrote, if your vehicle is equipped with the 8" screen already and has the ability to receive SiriusXM then the navigation upgrade is as simple as it gets - about 10 minutes and it involves a torx screwdriver and a trim tool (you can use a screwdriver or knife with a cloth over it).
And since I've done both the nav upgrade and installed the OEM backup camera I know what's involved from personal experience.
If your configuration differs, then adding the OEM navigation becomes more involved. You can add the backup camera to either 8" radio (RE2 or RB5) - it is just a matter of spending a bit of time and a couple of dollars thrown at the dealer to turn the feature on after it is installed.
I've posted a link in another thread in the infotainment forum describing where I located a navigation radio on eBay for US$500 plus shipping - your dealer would want thousands for that module.

DodgeCACares reacted to jkeaton in clunk sound when accelerating
Clunks are normal, unfortunately. If you are very concerned, a visit to the dealer is appropriate. Make sure you make them go for a ride with you so you can actually show them the issue.

I agree with the other posters. The pentastar is smooth as silk!

DodgeCACares got a reaction from OhareFred in How to play DVD in front display while driving!
gieves,
I would recommend not manipulating your DJ to achieve this.
I always say if it's not broken don't fix it, not to mention the overwhelming distraction in low light conditions such as at night.
But that's just my two cents.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from ltdjourney in BRAKES
ltdjourney,
Sorry to hear about your experience.
Keep a very close eye on this and the conditions and circumstances if it happens again.
That way there your dealer will have a better opportunity to duplicate the issue and resolve accordingly.
Keep us posted .

DodgeCACares got a reaction from dhh3 in How long does it typically to order new Journey?
2late4u,
I know it can be difficult to respond and engage a big number of threads.
For me, I'm involved with a long list of other forums which cover other vehicle platforms as well.
We'll continue to be involved as much as possible.
I hope everyone has a safe holiday season !!!

DodgeCACares got a reaction from jkeaton in Computer problem??
MWG,
I would agree in saying the engine may have shut off.
Any loss of power conditions should be taken seriously, please do have your vehicle inspected at your local Dodge dealer.
Keep us posted if you can.

DodgeCACares reacted to rolly in How long does it typically to order new Journey?
We ordered our Journey September 10th 2013 and we took ownership on December 10th 2013. Our salesperson kept us up to date during the whole process. Anticipation!

DodgeCACares got a reaction from ltdjourney in musty smell
ltdjourney,
They'll certainly have to reproduce the condition before they replace any parts, best to give them a full account of when it happens.
Your dealer likely wouldn't be aware of our Corporate online involvement however they can certainly phone to our technical support team if they need further guidance.

DodgeCACares reacted to dhh3 in CarComplaints.com
CR got caught years ago for rigging tests on the Isuzu Trooper: tip overs. NBC got caught rigging tests on the pre 88 Chevy trucks: gas tank explosions when T-boned. Since then, I refuse to watch any car reports in print or on TV. If they get caught rigging tests once, what is not to say that they will do it again. I go with my gut feeling; not someone else's opinion.
One little thing goes wrong, and people hate the car. Is that a fair analysis? I've seen it here on this forum, and every forum I have ever posted on.
If you like the car, buy it. Your warranty will fix everything except consumables: tires, wiper blades, etc.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from jkeaton in strut and bearing replacement, floaty steering
dodgejourney2012,
Welcome to the forum!
Were the above mentioned issues resolved under warranty?
bigtsr brings up a good point, it's difficult to determine if the original owner took care of the vehicle.
Keep us posted, I hope all goes well moving forward.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from jkeaton in Noise when going from park to drive / reverse - reverse to drive ?
probak118,
I would bring this to the attention of your Dodge Service facility.
The vehicle has certain common characteristics however it isn't recommended to generalize this condition with what others may be experiencing.
What you've observed could be something different, keep us posted if you get a chance to have the trans. issue inspected.

DodgeCACares got a reaction from rolly in Remote Start Heated Seats & Steering Wheel
Eric Menezes,
Welcome to the forum!
The owner's manual and user guides are invaluable for finding answers to all sorts of questions.
I even surprise myself from time to time when reading over different materials and stumble across something new.
