Thanks for all the input. I actually didn't buy it from a Dodge dealership. I am wondering if I could call my dealer to find out, or if I would have to call a Chrysler dealership to find out. And bramfrank, I do have what looks like an amp under the passenger seat, but I don't know if I have a sub. If I didn't have a sub, would I still have the amp under the seat? Thanks again guys!

With regards to this post, lately I have been having the same problem. I let the car sit overnight, next morning it is dead. I get a boost, and it is fine for the day. Next morning, same thing. I go out, buy a new battery, and get it installed. I have the alternator tested too. It is fine. About a week or two later, the same thing happens. I bring it back to my mechanic, and he hooks it up to an amp meter. While the car is off, it is drawing about .30. They had to pull each fuse one by one, and they found out it is my stereo drawing the power. Here is the catch. When I bought the vehicle, I bought it second hand. Upon getting it, there was a chip in the windshield. I had to bring it back in to have the windshield replaced. Once we got into the fall season, I climbed in the car on a rainy day, and noticed a leak coming from the top center of the windshield (where the interior lights and rearview mirror are), and it was leaking onto my stereo. I called the dealer, again, and had to bring it back in to have the leak fixed, again. I didn't think anything after that. Over the winter is when I started to have the battery drain on me. Now that I know it is due to the stereo, is there any possibility that the leak on the stereo has anything to do with the stereo draining the battery all of a sudden? Keep in mind that, the only extended warranty I got on the vehicle when I purchased it back in July was the powertrain warranty. Thoughts?

I really like the look of the Crossroad. When we purchased the R/T, they had a Crossroad on the lot. A little too out of our budget, but now that I look back, I should have at LEAST taken it for a test drive.

Thanks everyone. These are all both helpful and interesting. I am in Canada, so my R/T has the chrome handles, as well as the white leather interior. I can't believe all the differences in the years and models!

Hey all! So, ever since I've got my 2013 R/T, I have been trying to teach my youngest son (9 years old) to spot the differences between the years and models of DJs. In doing so, I, myself, am not quite sure of a few things. First - Chrome door handles. Up until a couple of days ago, I thought you could only get these on the R/T. But then I saw a Journey with the R/T badge without the chrome handles. Second - The Dodge emblem. I am pretty sure that the emblem was on the front and rear of all DJs up until 2011. I think 2012 is when they put the new front grill on them as well as the word DODGE across the back. Third - Tail lights. I believe that the 2012 was the last year of the old style, and the 2013 had the new LED tail lights (the round ones) installed on them. Fourth - Rims. This is where I am lost. I have the snowflake rims on my R/T. I know them as snowflake rims from my Neon days. But I have seen these rims on all different models. Was that just a different option on any model Journey? Any input on what I have here? Is it right? Is it wrong? And any additions would be great!

Well. Compared to my small, aftermarket stereo I had in my Dodge Neon, this new stereo is awesome! It is an upgrade for me, but sounds like it is a downgrade for you.

Thanks ddh! This is very useful! I have always wondered it, because when I hook my iPhone up via the USB jack, it does show all the tracks. As well as when I use a USB stick, or CD (I have yet to try the SD slot). My son has an older iPod that we can't upgrade to iOS 8, so maybe I will try that and see if it comes up. If it does, I could always use that strictly for the DJ, and just load a bunch of songs onto it. Now... you mentioned a HD in the Journey.... my mind has been blown! Is this still possible as an aftermarket add-on to the Journey? Because I would totally do that instead. Or would it be a whole lot easier using my old 30 GB iPod and hooking it up through the USB?

I am kind of curious about this post. Ever since I had my Bluetooth module fixed, I have always been able to listen to music on my stereo through my phone, but while doing it through Bluetooth, it just shows "Devin's iPhone" on the screen. No track information or options to browse music. Should it list the track playing on the screen???

I have finally got the problem fixed. The dealership had to order a new Bluetooth module for the stereo. Brought the vehicle in, took a couple of hours, but as soon as I got it back, it connected perfectly. I have now paired, not only my phone as the default, but my wifes phone as well. I officially do not have a single complaint now with my Journey!

Agreed. But I know the steps that I need to do to get my phone to link up. In settings ----> Phone/Bluetooth ----> Doesn't give me this part in the settings. I tap on phone/Bluetooth and it doesn't do anything. I know it is supposed to tell me to set up my phone to pair and gives me the 0000 code to enter, but it won't even bring me to that screen. I will definitely be checking to make sure it works before I leave this time.

So apparently it is the Bluetooth module. The dealership is ordering a new one. I picked it up, after they said they fixed and tested it, and it still didn't work. That is my only issue with this vehicle now.

I really hope not. My wife's cousin works there! It was the reason we went there. But I will do that for sure. Just in case. Good idea.

Did you by any chance catch any of the Pan-Am games going on in the GTA? I'm from Hamilton, but we went on a road trip with the family up to Kingston and Ottawa. Drove back on Sunday just as the games were ending. Traffic sucked! The only good thing I had out of the bad traffic was the fact that I was in my new Journey!
