Sometimes these software updates changes things, which don't need changing. It's something, which the manufacturer does 😕

johanbrandon reacted to larryl in Random No Start
When were the plugs last changed? 2.4's need the plugs changed often and make sure the correct ones are used that would be a cheap place to start if it hasn't been done

We've weeded almost all of them out and put some new measures in place - there were close to or slightly over 100 of them!

Painted the front lower fascia to match the body color, including the fog light bezels. Added carbon fiber auto-wrap as grill insert. Painted the grill satin black and bottom center fascia applique in satin black and flat black. Will likely change the bottom center fascia applique to all satin black along with the plastic insert strip above the chrome

Sure it does. Counting might not be important in Alabama, but tell that to the cops when you get caught speeding in Canada.

As for the programming a "hi line" for remote start....
I tried to do the same for our 2011 Mainstreet and it would not take either. I suspect that even though I added in the hood safety switch, that the car is not equipped with the rest of the stuff under the dash to activate it, thus the same message. This MAY be a case of TRIM LEVEL an owner is working with, higher trim levels may work fine having the rest of things already installed by the factory.
I also have a 2014 SXT that I did successfully program in the remote start function and followed the same steps of this car when trying to do the 2011.

johanbrandon reacted to Redtomatoman123 in Highest Mileage Journey... Who's in it for the long haul?
I bought my 2011 R/T new, so I'm into my 11th year. 106,000ish miles. I drive it mostly on longer road trips. It's been a good vehicle. Had the left head replaced as many of the early DJs have had. Had a solenoid of some kind go out on the transmission. No other problems. Engine still purrs like the day I brought it home. Still has plenty of pentastar power. Really like this vehicle.
My only beef is I can't update the nav maps and I can't replace the head unit to get android auto. Too integrated. Oh, well...
Peace.

johanbrandon reacted to Armando G in Did Not Disappoint
I did a 500 mile trip this past week to Central Oregon with about 200 miles of frozen roads. I went from nice clear weather in CA to snowy, freezing weather in Oregon. This was the first time I drove my DJ in 20 degree weather with frozen roads, and it did not disappoint. I kept up with all of the big tire studded trucks and all wheel cars that were out there with me (I have the FWD model). Felt in full control the whole time and used the Autoshift option to control my speed and stops. I also dealt with 3 feet of snow fall on the 4th day with no issues at all. I was surprised that OR does not salt their roads like what I'm used to in CA - they use a gravel/sand looking stuff that doesn't really do much. Anyways, just wanted to give the '15 DJ a positive review and state yet again how happy I am with this thing.
If you're wondering, I was helping my daughter buy a house and wanted my tools and car to help with the move in and install of her things (we closed last Wednesday). She's amazing and I'm very proud of her.

2011 Dodge Journey Review: Motor Trend
Dodge Journey Forum - While memorable driving experiences and technological wizardry aren't exactly the Journey's strong suits, John and Jane could care less. What's more important is getting little Doe to their play date safely and easily, and the Journey is a viable option if they find the minivan too lame and larger SUVs too intimidating.
The Journey has been criticized for a lack of refinement in the past, and Dodge has made a solid effort to address the crossover's shortcomings with the 2011 model. Not much has changed on the outside, with the Journey retaining much of its original shape while infusing subtle, modern revisions to the front and rear ends for the new decade.
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 has been a welcome addition to the Chrysler/Dodge lineup, and not surprisingly, it finds its way under the Journey's hood as well.

johanbrandon reacted to Armando G in 90,000 Mile Review
Well, my 2015 DJ hit 90k on the clock this past week and I am still as happy with it as the day I bought it. She's carried my 4 kids on long trips, pulled a trailer when I moved my daughter, driven in the snow and ice, handled 120 degree weather, and been my 'get away' spot when I needed to just take off. She got a new transmission under warranty at around 30k miles and I just replaced the thermostat. Other than that I'm still on the original battery, original brake pads and rotors, and everything still works as expected. I do perform regular maintenance as advised, and don't abuse her (too much). My DJ has been a great SUV for me and even when I look at other cars to buy, I end up sticking with my DJ.

On mine it was the camera, not the wiring.
Replaced it with the ones you buy from AliExpress. Different angle but better resolution.

Just purchased my 18Dj Crossroads last week, already received some led stuff (+1 for prime).
Also replaced my passenger headlight housing, the OEM had moisture leaking in from somewhere.
Got around to installing most of it this weekend! Have any questions, let me know!

If all bolts are tight, and all joints are well lubed without freeplay... I can't think of anything else. The spring can sometimes rotate a little in the top hat while turning. Perhaps that?
Just to rule out the possibility, have your wheel alignment checked/corrected.
Or else, check the cradle mounts. Or the cradle itself. As long as all the welds are good, and cracks anywhere else, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

johanbrandon reacted to Dusty256 in Left front brake drag
you might want to check the BAS system .. it's the stability control. my 2009 did that a year and a half ago . after replacing the front brake the left side still got warm. i ended up disconnection the battery for ten minutes and then pushing the brake pedal to drain any remaining stored battery voltage. after replacing the battery start the car and before moving turn the stearing lock to lock returning to center.
make sure the car is on a level surface.
