  1. Yes, my understanding is that the 2013 RB5 has more memory. Peace.
  2. Hi. So I've come to understand that the 2011 RB5 doesn't have enough memory for the latest maps. I can't load the map update onto my RB5 bc there just isn't enough system memory. Peace.
  3. Ok. I pulled the trigger on a garmin Nuvi from eBay. I'll try to get my maps updated. @JAR414 If you know the location of a detailed and accurate procedure, I would appreciate a link to that. Not sure if the one on the charger forum is the best. Some was from the poster's memory... Peace.
  4. So I looked on the charger forum. It seems that you need a garmin nuvi navigation unit to use as a go-between to update the RB5 maps. I don't have that. ? I guess I'll just drive with old maps. Peace.
  5. Ok. My DJ is running CPT11. I suppose that means I'm stuck with my 2017 map update. I'll look on the charger forums to see if there's any other info there. If anyone here has anything, I'm interested... Peace.
  6. How do I figure out the firmware version? Is there somewhere in the menus that will show that? Thanks.
  7. Hi. I've asked this before without any luck. Just checking back. I have a 2011 DJ R/T. Chrysler and Garmin seem to have stopped providing map updates for my RB5 radio. I'm fine with my somewhat outdated RB5 functionality. I just want an updated map. Anyone know how to buy or hack a map update? Peace.
  8. Looks great. Glad to see you still have your DJ. My 2011 is still going strong. 110k miles. Had to put a battery in it yesterday. No other problems. Peace.
  9. I thought I'd mention that the DJ is not my daily driver. It's common for it to sit a week or so between trips. This is the first no start. Never even slow started in the past. No hesitation before starting now either. Just sayin'.. Peace.
  10. Hi all. Left my 2011 DJ 3.6 at the airport parking lot for a week. Was fine at dropoff, no start a week later. Jumped and started immediately. No messages, dummy lifts or anything after jump. Drove fine 2 hours home. That was yesterday. No problems starting today and drives fine. I don't have an obd scanner, but as I said no messages on the evic. I am planning to change the battery as it's 5 yrs old and may be starting to decline and go bad. Just wondering if there's anything else I should check. Any comments are welcome. Peace.
  11. I bought my 2011 R/T new, so I'm into my 11th year. 106,000ish miles. I drive it mostly on longer road trips. It's been a good vehicle. Had the left head replaced as many of the early DJs have had. Had a solenoid of some kind go out on the transmission. No other problems. Engine still purrs like the day I brought it home. Still has plenty of pentastar power. Really like this vehicle. My only beef is I can't update the nav maps and I can't replace the head unit to get android auto. Too integrated. Oh, well... Peace.
  12. I have a 2011 R/T. It doesn't have a hatch badge. Only the yellow gas cap. Mine is ok with E85. I'd say use your vin as the reference. If the above website doesn't work, any dealer should be able to get the information with the vin. Peace.
  13. Hi. I feel my 2011 do this sometimes. I've owned it since new. It definitely shudders when backing up a hill. My understanding is that behavior is common. Mine will also give a shudder at lower neighborhood speeds sometimes. I feel like that is more related to the computer trying to decide which gear to be in rather than a transmission issue. Anyway, that's my 2 cents... Not sure if any of that relates to what you're feeling. I wouldn't worry until you're certain that you have a real issue. Then do something. Peace.
  14. Best of luck to you. Glad no injuries except the vehicle. Replace it with something that can do the occasional burn out without worry of causing damage to the tranny. Ha! Peace.
  15. Congratulations. Glad to see a high mileage DJ. Cool that you are able to do that kind of work. Wish I could. I just passed 101 K on my 2011 FWD R/T. So far I have no discernable ticking or engine noise except for what I believe to be momentary lifter clatter on startup after the car hasn't been run for a few days. Any suggestions to the rest of us on how to avoid ending up replacing the same parts that you did? I hope to keep my DJ running strong until at least 200 K. Thanks in advance. Peace.
