I was thinking the same after I wrote the OP, but I agree and its pretty cheap. Got a 4 peice set for 2 dollars off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/4pcs-Car-Radio-Stereo-Door-Trim-Dash-Panel-Install-Removal-Pry-Tools-Kit-New-/231735003635?hash=item35f47b89f3:g:huoAAOSwo6lWPHdj&vxp=mtr

does anyone know how to remove those silver trim parts that curve below the dash at the hvac controls. I want to wrap them . I was thinking maybe they just pop out if i take something flat like a flat head screwdriver and pop it loose?
I want to wrap them in vinyl.Either in glossy black or chrome and btw Yes I search the forum. Not sure what those things are called so I didnt have much luck searching the forum for this information

Please follow this advice and spend a couple bucks on the trim panel tool. It is very easy to damage these parts prying on them with a screwdriver and they aren't cheap to replace...

They do just pop out - you use a trim tool (a plastic pry tool) to get them out. You will find directions in the backup camera installation manual, which is posted here:

yea during winter months I wont be able to leave it all in my car but some stuff like rags newspapers for cleaning windows and paste wax can stay all year in the back.

Cool idea. Only problem for me is that my third row has never seen the light of day and I have the dodge cargo mat over it all. I like the cargo mat, but it does make getting into that storage a little bit of a hassle.
Peace.

I turned my storage into a subwoofer enclosure... No need to get in there any more! Great idea though.

So I use my back under storage department area in the back of the journey to keep all my cleaning supplies as I live in a apartment so it is more easy to keep them with me in my journey. Only thing I hated was there was no way to hold the back part of the tray up. I found a simple way to modified it so the back tray will stay up. I got some Velcro strap with tape on one side to stick it to the under part of the tray and I use the straps from the third row seat to hold the tray up

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in New license plate to compliment my Prius plate :)
if you ever get a charger hellcat. your tag can read Hel2Gas . BTW if you get tired of the prius and want to regain some manhood back ( lol jk maybe ) get yourself a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It gets 48 mpg and will run you 12k ...

Billy Billy reacted to Kbaker in Galaxy Tab 3 Tablet Install (Massive pic)
I don't use the sunglasses holder, so I tore it apart and installed a Galaxy Tab 3 in it.
Sorry for the massive pic.
It is mounted with heavy duty velcro. I need to straighten it a bit, it looks a bit cock-eyed in the pic. Power is tapped into from the rear view mirror. Audio is run along the liner, down the pillar, behind the glove box behind the radio trim and comes out right into the front AUX port of the Mygig. The only visible wiring is a very small amount at where the aux in is located.
It is automated so when I turn the key on it will;
change the back ground image to the one shown
turn off Airplane mode
turn on wifi (for hotspot)
and change the screen time out to 3 hours
When I turn the key off it;
Kills all open apps
Turns off wifi
Turns on Airplane
Changes the screen time out to 7 seconds
Displays a message on screen saying "Goodbye"
Changes background image to a picture taken from an airplane
The message and background change is for visual verification that automation is working.
The sunglasses panel works like normal so the tablet is completely hidden when not in use.

Cody Chonorbay on the site has advertised that he can... Ask him. The eBay ones are not worth the money you would be spending on them.

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in Freemont grille
are you going switch the badge on the steeling wheel and the name in the back to fiat freemont or put a dodge emblem over the fiat badge on the grill? I know this does not help you in getting the grill , Just wondering if you ant to turn your journey into a freemont
though this guy is selling one on ebay but it is pickup, maybe you can talk him into shipping it and the grill needs a little touch up

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in New or old interior
I like my 2015 DJ interior but I got to be honest, I think the 07-10 had a nice interior too , it was one of the better interior before fiat got into the mix. Only thing I dislike about the 07-10 are the interior green odo lights . I like that the 07-10 interior door panels had that chrome stripe on them ! I wish mine had that ..I think no matter which generation DJ you have, you all still have a nice interior !

Billy Billy got a reaction from jkeaton in First accident
Don't get comfortable using those back up camera's . Nothing can replace using mirrors, your own eyes and turning your head . I have driven a school bus for 21 years and without a doubt mirrors and using your own eyes will never let you down ...

He has retrofitted projector headlights with halo's... Luckily, he did all the work himself, so he is only out a fraction of the cost of a purchased set.

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in My insurance co calls my journey a Sport Wagon , not cuv or suv
dang those are low for full coverage . Not to be noisy but are you two over the age of 50, I know age plays a major part in rates as well as location too . I moved two blocks up the street this past march and my ins drop 5 dollars a month cause of that ! Plus I always have been told credit score plays a major part on rates which I think is dead wrong as credit score should not play a part in rates.
I think I need though to call my agent now and bitch lol

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in My insurance co calls my journey a Sport Wagon , not cuv or suv
I was thinking the same thing today watching all those suvs cuv etc go bye how so many are kinda blurred in size and looks but if I was to say the closet competitor for the journey is, I think the Dodge Journey is right in line with the Hyundai Santa Fe as far as size, how many people it carry and height ! I look at both but went with the journey because it had the higher rebate " I am a rebate shopper " and I like hoffman dodge vs massey Hyundai , Hoffman is just the better dealer for my needs

Billy Billy got a reaction from dhh3 in My insurance co calls my journey a Sport Wagon , not cuv or suv
that is interesting. I dont know if sport wagon would make it cheaper or more expensive to insure but mine runs 105 a month for 6 months with 250 ded . I was thinking about changing my ded to 500 to see how cheaper it would be. I kinda feel like I pay too much but state farm so far is the cheapest !
