Journey_SeXT, I wouldn't recommend waiting until the maximum allowance if for example the vehicle is telling you to change the oil. The indicator system doesn't work at random like some may believe rather calculates all the relevant conditions affecting oil life in said vehicle. In other words, the manual has a specified maximum allowance but your vehicle may require a change long before this increment.

Engine Ticking / Lashing Noise - Lifters / Rocker Arm
DodgeCACares replied to oneframe's topic in Engine & Transmission
oneframe, Glad to hear your dealer was able to identify the issue and get it corrected within the warranty parameters! Are things still running smoothly? Cheers -
CrossRoad14, I like the looks of the Crossroad, I think most buyers will take a step back and decide on appearance as the the R/T is similar in so many ways.

Soft Brake Pedal - 2009 Journey
DodgeCACares replied to martinth's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
martinth, I would strongly recommend visiting a Dodge Service Facility. Any hesitancy at all is a good indicator that it's best to leave it to the pros so to speak. -
Rotors might be gone, but check the pictures
DodgeCACares replied to Marius's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
Marius, Sorry to learn of the experience with your dealers and your DJ. How many kilometers do you have on the vehicle now and what schedule have you been following for tire rotation? -
nash211, Welcome to the forum! If anything comes up, please do share as there are many helpful/active members here. Cheers!

YellowDuck, Nothing to worry about here, the oil change indicator system will calculate a whole variety of measures to determine when your DJ needs to have the oil changed. You are correct, under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 16,000 kms or twelve months, whichever comes first. If the vehicle isn't driven hard and mostly on the highway, it is possible to achieve more kilometers out of a single change. Congrats on your purchase by the way!!!

Chris1276, Sorry to learn of this vibration you're experiencing. Wheel balancing is not covered by your 3 year or 60,000 kms warranty. As others have mentioned, there could be any number of reasons for this vibration. Hopefully your dealer can get you sooner rather than later.

2late4u, No worries, Chrysler certainly wants to make sure Customers can benefit from as much support as possible outside of the regular channels when needed.
-
2late4u, This is a good question however it is slightly out of my scope as the Canadian Rep. @DodgeCares - Would you be able to shed any light on this situation for this U.S. Customer?

Replace uConnect 8.4 with 8.4N in 2013 Journey SXT
DodgeCACares replied to BobUncapher's topic in Accessories, Modifications
BobUncapher, Welcome to the forum! B4ZINGA nailed it on the head about your dealer not willing to modify your vehicle. Although it's likely they can easily do it, they may not want to get into a situation where they are responsible for having to replace parts or warranty their workmanship on a modification. All the best !- 6 replies

No Key Detected
DodgeCACares replied to shegre's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
Chris1276, I understand the frustrations when it comes to an issue that is intermittent. Your dealer will do what they can however it's so important they see the issue happening to ensure the proper repairs take place. Hopefully they'll have the chance to see it happen in order to resolve accordingly. -
rolly, Sorry to hear about your friend... The oil indicator system will calculate both time and kilometers driven along with many other factors that influence the life of the oil. If a vehicle has to sit, the system will calculate the time and if it hits 6 months, the vehicle will recognize this and the display will prompt an oil change.

xcaliber81, I've attached a snip of the user's guide which covers the procedure to reset the oil index system. Cheers!

uConnect Map Update
DodgeCACares replied to Daks1954's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
rolly, Your dealer is also a good resources for confirming these updates, in this case there was contradicting information which your dealer could help clear up based on the access they have to the specified updates. @Daks1954 - Navteq is in fact responsible for the map updates available for the Uconnect systems. Hopefully that clears things up, sorry for the miscommunication that lead to this confusion. -
nash211, Congrats on your new DJ and welcome to the forum! Quite a bit different from the truck indeed but you won't be disappointed.

'12 R/T - windows replaced
DodgeCACares replied to sexyRTboi's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
sexyRTboi, Sorry to hear about your repeat issue with the windows. When the original repairs were completed last year, did your dealer identify what exactly was in the tracks causing the noise? I had an issue many years back with contaminants from the glass (dirt, sand etc.) sticking and going below the rubber strips. The noise was there until the window was thoroughly cleaned and then went away. Noisy seats could be attributed to bolts coming slightly lose over time. Not saying this is the case however some driver's are more aggressive than others in turn which shifts weight and strains the bolts. Keep us posted after your visit if you can. -
xcaliber81, The accessory setting is very much like many of the older vehicles we're all used to. I've not seen any vehicles timeout after 20 minutes though. Also congrats on your new purchase !!!
