  1. Mike Medeiros, Welcome to the forum ! With any sunroof, there's always the risk of the drain tubes not working properly. Your dealer will be able to identify the drain tube function quite easily. I recommend getting it in for a water test, are you currently working with any Dodge dealers in your area? Keep us posted if you need any assistance.
  2. journeygirl2014, Welcome to the forum! I haven't come across this issue at all but it sounds like something isn't lined up properly allowing water to flow differently on the passenger side and ultimately have ice build up in a certain way. Could be some plastic is misaligned and causing this, hard to say. Keep us posted if you can once your dealer takes a look at it.
  3. larryl, Could very well be, I lost a weight a few years back during the winter from rubbing up against hard packed snow and ice. @redtomatoman, I'd almost be inclined to have it brought in for a full alignment and put on the machine to be sure. Not saying this is the case but it's certainly going to help eliminate some of the possibilities.
  4. Blacktop14, Welcome to the forum. Great group of people on here who are passionate for their DJs. I'd love to see some pics of your past SRTs not to mention your Journey, I'll be keeping an eye out in case you post some up.
  5. Chris1276, If you're having issues with the fob, please visit your dealer. It's not worth taking it apart and risking damaging it, that's why you paid for warranty. The warranty parameters for the key fob are 3 years or 60,000 kms. A dead battery wouldn't be covered but as a couple members mentioned, they cost roughly $2. Keep us posted if you can with the results.
  6. angelr187124, Congratulations on your new purchase and WELCOME to the forum. There are some great members on here who are always willing to help, great resource for everything DJ.
  7. dfp57, Sorry to hear you've been having this happen repeatedly. The problem here is the extreme cold temperatures, it causes the P/S fluid to gel and create too much pressure and ultimately burst the lines etc. I've been in discussions with the platform advocate for the Journey and he's been tracking this issue. So far each instance has been case by case, however the use of synthetic P/S fluid has been promising.
  8. Lisa Bluesky, Happy to see a solution for this, any news on the fix? I think @Lawdog1911 put it best, keeps you on time for work. Cheers!
  9. larryl, I couldn't see a wheel bearing being bad this early on but you never know, the description of the noise sounds an awful lot like it could be though that's for sure.
  10. Journeyman Will, Be careful my friend, maybe you're best to surprise her with something small for now instead of showing her the website....
  11. A12Rag, @jkeaton is right, your vehicle ultimately costs less because your spare isn't configured to be a nice shinny rim with same tread as the others, saves space and weight too. Using the spare would be considered a temporary necessity, likely the engineers didn't spend much time modifying the vehicle's functionality to compensate for this. I know what you're saying though, it would be ideal if that didn't happen.
  12. rolly, I haven't been able to confirm the unavailability for 2.4L but you're right, it's important to be cautious about staying within the guidelines of the towing capacity. I've seen so many horror stories where Customers slap on coolers and try and to tow a 50' boat and have it overheat a few miles down the road. The DJ is great but it's not built to tow certain things even with the cooler installed. Sometimes it's hard to remember that considering the powerful 3.6L under the hood.lol @mjtdk96, What did your dealer tell you exactly about the hoses. Is it the case where they just simply aren't manufactured or they were on back order?
  13. Canadian Paul, Welcome to the forum!!! Great information for other members, I've taken a look to see if I could identify other common cases but didn't come up with anything. Looking at the diagram though, I can see how this is possible. Unlikely but possible. Thanks for sharing, great info. and might save someone a big headache down the road. Feel free to PM me anytime if you need any help.
  14. lytefall, Sorry to hear this noise hasn't been resolved. Are you experiencing this only in the cold weather for a short amount of time? Is it the case where your dealer has been informed by Chrysler Tech Group that there isn't a fix however something is being worked on? If there isn't a permanent solution at this point, then your dealer won't be able to replace any components as it will simply happen again. Hopefully this gets sorted out sooner rather than later for you.
  15. rolly, Nothing like a bone chilling morning to get things started up. Have you been doing much ice fishing this year on St. Clair?
  16. rolly, I run out and start my car every morning, it likely runs for about 4-5 minutes before I get in. No question my fuel economy has gone out the window, but you can't put a price on comfort. This winter has been especially cold and I'm not one for seeing my breath in the vehicle when I first get in. Most industry experts say you only need to warm your engine for about 2 minutes maximum however I've been behind the wheel of different vehicles and I have to say, some like to warm up a little more than others. Is it spring yet?? B)
  17. Journeyman Will, Welcome to forum!! There's some great members on here that will certainly do their best to help out with what they can. There's tons of things you can do to make it her special DJ. Some nice decals, plasti dipped rims maybe even some MOPAR accessories to personalize a little more. Check out this link and see if she'd like anything listed. http://www.mopar.com/dodge/journey/2014/
  18. jouneyjen, The recall K26 identified a VERY small number of vehicles for a possible separation at the crimped end of the power steering pressure hose assembly. I've been tracking some cases in Canada where the frequency of these failures are on the high end. I realize your vehicle is out of warranty however your dealer can get a hold of our technical group to review what can be done in this case to ensure a long term solution.
  19. rolly, I'd be sure to be turning off the ignition immediately, what with the price of gas these days lol.
  20. Chris1276, Happy to hear they found the cause of the leak. If you see the air pressure slowly go down over time, you're likely looking at a nail in tire like jkeaton said or perhaps a leak from the rim. Using synthetic oil is great but you'll certainly pay more for it as you've found out.
  21. Noemi Czar Gomez Conge, The transmissions in the Journeys are solid, I haven't heard of any common problems. Have you had a chance to get it to the dealer for testing?
  22. radame, Thanks for the update, I would be getting it to another dealer like you said. Take care, we'll wait to hear back with any news. Gracias
  23. Hawaii, The cold is the #1 killer of fuel mileage. That cold air your engine breathes in is much colder than the summer of course, which means the intake and combustion is different down to a molecular level. It's pretty interesting and enlightening if you ever felt like doing some research into it. I like your handle, folks in Hawaii certainly don't have this problem lol. :shades:
  24. CCCacher, I know what you mean, we do things are little different here in Canada, same result of course but just a different take on the calculation. I must say, I wouldn't mind doing a fuel run with a tank. For scientific purposes of course.....
  25. ismir2k, The extreme cold temperature in Quebec seem to be the cause here. Most cold weather noises are related to the thick oil in the cylinders which contributes to less effective lubrication until the engine warms and the oil thins out. I would suggest plugging your vehicle in so the block heater can be keep things warmer over night, even throughout the day if possible. If this noise was present in all temperatures, I would suggest having your dealer look at it.
