  1. Brian S, You're welcome, any luck? Cheers!
  2. jkeaton - Someone had to do it lol seanton - This information would be found in a service manual, if not, your local Dodge service facility is always at your disposal.
  3. Pipkerx, Welcome to the forum. Keep an ear out for the noise after the pads and rotors are replaced. A brake inspection wouldn't be out of the question though as jkeaton mentioned, not necessarily worth replacing parts until the issue is better understood (outside of the needed parts at this time).
  4. seanton, With respect to the Power Transfer Unit (PTU), use only MOPAR Gear & Axle Lubricant SAE 75W-90 with a capacity of 0.8 metric liters. The Rear Driveline Module or RDA will also take the same lubricant as the PTU however capacity is 0.6 metric liters. ***Keep in mind these are nominal refill capacities and amounts will vary slightly depending on your refill procedure.*** If you aren't sure about performing this service yourself, do not hesitate to get your Journey to your local Dodge service facility.
  5. kevin bastarache, Welcome to the forum. It is good practice to keep the drain holes clear as debris can plug them. Check your owner's manual as jkeaton mentioned and never hesitate to get your vehicle to your local Dodge dealer if you're unsure on anything.
  6. BrianS, Welcome to the forum! Id' recommend visiting one of the local dealers here in the Windsor area and test drive a new Journey. This way you'll be able to test a few out and see what your needs may be as far as accessories and options go. Good luck with your search !!!
  7. Tito Mon, Sorry to hear you're having troubles with the key fob. The switch itself may be problematic and/or worn out. At this stage, I would recommend having your dealer look at both the key fob and your vehicle to verify what the issue may be.
  8. Sheldon Doyle, Welcome to the forum. After reviewing the oil pressure specification for the 3.6L Pentastar, your vehicle seems to be within the normal value range for cold start up. Keep in mind the oil pressure is always going to be on the high side on start up, especially in colder conditions due to increased oil viscosity. However, it would be beneficial to visit your dealer again to monitor after a cold start considering you've issues. Other members will chime in and hopefully share some data as well through their observations.
  9. klingoff, Happy to hear everything was sorted out, thanks for posting the details. As bigtsr mentioned, it grows the knowledge base for other members and may one day be the fix they are needing. Thanks again!
  10. srk23, Being at a bit of a distance from a dealer can complicate things but it sounds like you do quite a bit of driving. At this stage, I'd recommend you investigate making time to get your Journey to a Dodge dealer. The experts should be involved considering you have 3 different opinions from independent garages. :shades:
  11. André Paquette, Welcome to the forum. Step one should be confirming phone compatibility with the system equipped with your vehicle. As bigtsr mentioned, check phone compatibility online at the driveuconnect website. Also, don't hesitate to get this to your local Dodge service facility as they have specialized instruments for these types of issues. Keep us posted.
  12. bramfrank, Good info! Thanks for clarifying further, ie: there are different options for doing this depending on the vehicle equipment.
  13. xcaliber81, This sounds normal for the speed control operation based on your account of events. If the system detects a loss of traction (vehicle hydroplaning), it will disengage as a safety feature. This feature is great for those commuting on higher speed highways with heavy snow cover considering you could come up to a thicker patch and remain in control. Keep an eye on things, get your Journey to your dealer if you feel something is off.
  14. srk23, Have you had the opportunity to have your vehicle inspected by your local Dodge service facility yet? I wouldn't hesitate to have it looked at sooner rather than later based on the symptoms you've described. Keep us posted if you can.

    Howdy!

Dropmech, Welcome to the forum!!! There are a ton of great members here who are at the ready to help when possible, not to mention DodgeCares and their support as well. All the best with your new Journey, post up some pics when you get it.
  16. Nicole Sposato Torees, Welcome to the forum. As the other members mentioned, adding a navigation unit is possible however there is a lot of labor and cost involved for the factory unit. Speak with your local Dodge dealer for pricing, this may help influence your decision.
  17. pacsound, Thanks for the info.! Certainly a great place to start for anyone with similar symptoms.
  18. McBAIN, Sorry to hear you're having some troubles with your Journey. Do not hesitate to tow your vehicle over to your dealer if you have any hesitation about driving. Phone the Service Dept. first to share the details surrounding the event, they'll advise on how to proceed. Keep us posted if you can.
  19. Notappliable, Sorry to hear you're having some troubles, and welcome to the forum. I would recommend having the radio inspected by your Dodge dealer first before you entertain any replacement. Repairs could be something simple like a flash update to the radio software. Certainly worth calling your dealer at minimum to verify any outstanding updates etc.
  20. RickLogan, No problem, I hope the repairs go off without a hitch!
  21. RickLogan, Never hesitate to get your Journey over to your dealer if you have any reservations about doing any repairs yourself.
  22. guycabiliero, Sorry to hear of your experience with the power steering components. Are you able to send me the last 8 characters of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ? I'd like to look into your email a bit further. Thank you!
  23. Blackout, Thanks for the updates. Let's hope the new unit will be the answer to the issues you've been having.
  24. xcaliber81, Have you had the opportunity to visit your dealer yet? Please keep us all posted with the results.
  25. Linda Palfrey, Under what conditions are you hearing the noises in the front end? You mentioned your Journey was inspected, was this at a Dodge dealer?
