  1. brqust01, How did you make out? Did you need to reset any settings to get it to work? cheers!
  2. Windancer, Certainly not like the old days as far as electrical components drawing from the battery that's for sure. There are so many modules and systems these days that rely on a constant feed.
  3. pacsound, This letter went out to simply inform Customer's that there is a potential for an issue to become present. As many other members have mentioned, it's important to keep an eye out for any reduced performance. Chrysler Canada will certainly stand behind any issues that were identified and correct them accordingly.
  4. Jim Herron, Welcome to the forum. Based on the symptoms described, it sound like wiring may be pinched somewhere along the line. I'd recommend checking all the wiring that goes into the lift gate as it could have gotten chaffed. If nothing is immediately apparent, may be time to get it to your dealer.
  5. CrossRoad14, I second that ! @gregsjourney - Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new DJ, you certainly made the right choice!
  6. Garry McCarthy, Sorry to hear no long term solution was identified, even after all the sensors were replaced. Have you been back to your dealer since? I'm not sure what you're driving MY wise but I'd hope this can get resolved soon under warranty.
  7. fooe, Happy to hear you got your telephone numbers out of the system. Trading up for a new DJ?
  8. Ed11729, Thanks for sharing the experience. Extended warranties are always worth looking into, it's impossible to predict what may or may not happen. Modern vehicles are just jammed packed with expensive electronics these days.
  9. @Brucebotti, Great info, thanks for sharing this feedback. Seems the system reset did the trick! Cheers
  10. fkjourney, Welcome to the forum! I'd recommend calling your dealer to see if a flash would apply. The setup is slightly different in Canada. Perhaps @DodgeCares could shed some light?
  11. Avistow, I'm assuming a recent flash was performed, if this is the case, the new software removed the traffic feature as this is not a supported in Canada. Some vehicles may have the software but any new updates will remove it. I'm unaware of any automatic notifications for flashes, the www.driveuconnect.com website can be used to search for uconnect updates. Your dealer will be able to keep you updated, ask your service advisor on the service visit to check the system to keep your DJ current. Cheers!
  12. mopar dewd, Weclome to the forum! There is a great group of members here for support, myself and my U.S. counterparts are also present for assistance if needed. Congrats on the DJ!
  13. Eric Evans, Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of great members on here, always willing to help too. Congrats on your new DJ, very excited to see you in the Dodge family again !!!
  14. Avistow, I read over your PM and took a look around to see I could make heads or tails of things. Your dealer seems to be correct as far as updates or enhancements. Do check in to your dealer once and a while as radio flashes are being released at a constant pace. Really sorry to hear you lost your favs., but happy to hear you're liking your DJ otherwise! Cheers.
  15. cruisinbill, I would imagine this wasn't the Master Shield version of undercoating... I'd caution anyone from getting any 3rd party Service Contracts or protection plans. Chrysler Canada nor the dealership has any control over 3rd parties which can lead to some unpleasant surprises for the Customer.
  16. Mauricio, Another big welcome from Canada! Are you in Brazil? What year/trim level Journey do you have? Cheers!
  17. Thanks Windancer, @Acey - Can you please send me your VIN in a private message and re-post on this thread when you've done so. I'll confirm the factory equipment for you. Also, your manual may not be unique to just your DJ. One manual might cover a few different trim levels so don't be confused if you see info. not limited to what's equipped on your DJ.
  18. andy, There is a K07 recall and it does affect a number of Canadian Journeys. Did you receive recall notification by mail? Recalls are VIN specific so this doesn't mean each and every Journey built in 2009 is affected. Your dealer is capable of making this determination, you can also send me a private message with your VIN and I can check for you.
  19. Avistow, I haven't experienced this issue myself, nor have the other Journey owners here in the office. I can confirm however that there have been a number of flash enhancements released for similar conditions. May be best to check with your Dodge dealer on your next service visit to see if any of these enhancements are outstanding.
  20. otavio14, I wasn't able to identify this particular flash for the 2009 model, however a quick chat with your service dept. would be appropriate to determine the availability.
  21. jugghead, Sorry to hear you're having shifting issues. Has your dealer been able to identify any flash updates to address the clunks? I would suggest taking another '14 out for a test drive to see if this is a characteristic of the vehicle.
  22. Melissa Jones, I agree with Journey_SeXT. Based on the symptoms you've described, it may be an electrical issue in which case you're best to leave it to the experts at your Servicing Dodge Facility. Please keep us posted after having the repairs completed. By the way...WELCOME TO THE FORUM !!!!
  23. whitesxt, Not bad fuel mileage at all! I've found the DJ does very well on the highway, even at higher speeds. Makes for a good vehicle for traveling.
  24. Christopher Williams Sr., Congrats on the new purchase !!! Welcome to the forum, there are some awesome members on here that are both friendly and helpful. Windancer, Sharp looking DJ.
  25. aysia, Sorry to hear you've been struggling with your dealer. I've identified a TSB which may be related as it has similar symptoms. This TSB may also have been released as a Rapid Response Transmittal which would be applied to your VIN. The TSB is 08-030-12 REV. B. Customer Care can certainly identify any RRTs which may be outstanding. Please re-post with the results if you can.
