  1. But I would bet, most of us never store anything in there. Why not have the option for use as something else then also ? No reason why it still can't be used as a " storage bin". Kuddos for radon 360 thinking outside the box. Worse case we spent $ 25 on something we still rarely use.
  2. I have never seen this topic until now but, it is a common problem I bet. I too noticed melting issues, I will now try the spay can of the low expansion foam on the outside of the tray. Thanks radon 360 for the update, might even buy a can of that rubber spray seen on tv used for leaks to keep the foam sealed after it cures ? How has Dodge not addressed this issue after all these years ?
  3. Yes phone synched in fact, two phones and an ipod. This is the only issue that I have noticed. It is such a small issue that I would not bother paying for it to be investigated. I was just wondering if I was alone on this one. Car is going in on the 16th for power steering re-call maybe I will ask them if they have encountered this issue before ?
  4. Anyone else having this issue ? Sometimes the radio simply will not turn on after starting the car. I have to stop and shut off the , re-start and all is fine. Took car in for oil change and they said radio has the latest firmware / software etc...? Car out of warranty ( 2012) but what a pain sometimes.
  5. Just about to note that same thing BrianS, I am also from Windsor area. But, when we did use those sticky plugs they worked great! Even when you had to use two in the same hole. Maybe that was where the issue came from, using multiple plugs to seal a hole ?
  6. Just curious, why go from 19" tires to 17" ? I would have thought the larger diameter tire would be better for off road type trails having more clearance under the DJ ?.
  7. Just guessing but, would the power steering recall which involves ( 3 parts) dealer told me replace any of your issue parts ?
  8. 2012 SXT has the exact same problems, will try to disconnect the negative cable and see what that does as a long term solution. DJ is due for oil change and power steering recall so might need to add this to the list.
  9. Thanks for the idea redtomatoman, I used Invisible glass 2X on the glass. Then, used nufinish; the windshield looks great and repels water like rainx but without the haisy film noticed from an angle.
  10. Not sure, but just removing the two cross rails does not work for you ? Seems like a lot of work to also remove the the two rails that run along the edge of the roof sides as well. Sure it can be done but wonder if you would also need lower head liner to remove some sort of nuts / fasterers also ?
  11. Just curious, most of the time I read how simply using winter tires is a GREAT improvement for traction in snow over all seasons. Here in southwestern Ontario really winter tires are for piece of mind really but, I know in Quebec you a required by law to use snow tires in winter. Are studs needed due to living in hilly area, or using logging roads etc...? I had heard some time ago that studs do a number on the paved road etc...? Sorry if I got off your topic.
  12. Just about to put the third set of front pads and rotors on my 2012, only 51, 000 kms, hopefully not the calipers too ? I can't believe Transport Canada etc... has not pressed the issue or for that matter; Chrysler stepped up and replaced our undersized brake components. Someone knew these were wrong but, cheaper to use parts already sourced I guess. Beating a dead horse I know.
  13. I inquired about all weather at Kal Tire wanting to get an overall year round tire. They told me that a fellow employee tried on his DJ wthout happy results. I was told they are a directional tire and after you rotate the tires they become noisy. He said he would sell me what ever type tire I wanted but, he could not recommend them when most all driving is highway. Buy a good quality tire all season and I would be happy.
  14. Thread is 5 months old I know but tried to also go up one size on my 2012 SXT today. Kal Tire ordered Michelin Defender LTX 235/65/R17 104T to replace the Kumo 225/65/R17 factory. I guess, the 65s are just a little too wide ? Salesmen thought going up one size was ok, but installer called us in and showed tires would rub. I just figured they would have had experience and know immediately. Settled on Mich Def 225s.
  15. Suggest buying the cargo mat also at some point. The weathertech I have has done its job well....lack of rain has made hauling kids baseball equipment pretty messy this year.
  16. I wondered hoe that addon would look, looks great.
  17. Saw article in our local paper,. Would you not think they would have records of these repairs. Then, automatically send refunds to the individuals on file ? Anything to save from paying out any more than they need too I guess ?
  18. Bosch icons seem to work well for me on the front. Cost was $22 and $25 I believe from Canadian Tire. I too notice I need to replace the rear blade. Sounds like I may go with OEM then.
  19. Ya, I go by the 6 month rule on my DJ but, the dealer (GM) told my wife when the free oil changes on her 2014 Trax are over. Only use the computer remind then change oil. So, that will be more than a year with her driving habits. Should be interesting should warranty issue ever occur.
  20. Anyone else have the issue of your driver's window sometimes stopping halfway up ? Is this a feature if I do not hit the "auto" feature on the window up button properly? Does not happen all the time, but with the ok weather recently, I noticed it again. I put the window down again and re-try and usually it goes up all the way.
  21. I also bought the Novline mats, they fit great. But....I paid the $169 not the new $99 !!!! SOB. Great deal and work great in the DJ.
  22. Bought some custom molded splash guards off amazon, same part #s as the mopar but, cost was 50%.
  23. Dig your heels in the ground but let them do their thing routine investigation. The service bulletin described exactly what is happening in my case, yours as well as others here. Once changed, mine stopped the whinning for the 15 seconds on these cold start ups; now it does not. Just the momentary noise at first start. Why not try going to a new one on the lot and start it ? If no extended noise...probably no argument after that ?
  24. 2011 DodgeRamJourney, I sent you a pm as to where the bulletin was posted by another member.
