2late4u got a reaction from 5rebel9 in Wanting an Integrated Booster Seat in 2015 Journey RT
call your local dodge dealership and give them your info and see if they have a part number for the booster seat and if so start googling that number

2late4u reacted to 5rebel9 in 2014 Dodge Journey navigation/unlock maps
Not sure of what you are saying IS in your Journey. I surmise you have the 8.4" screen "infotainment" display. IF when powered on and there is NO NAV. ICON PRESENT. then you do NOT have the radio module that has the Nav. capability. It is NOT a function of the screen and likewise for the audio. there is a radio module buried in the center of the dash.
So in "layman's" terms, if you want nav., you need a different radio module. And YES this subject has been discussed many times on the forum.

Welcome to the forum and your purchase of a Journey.
Sadly, I don't think the Journey was offered with such an option as the integrated child booster seat. I had an '04 Grand Caravan that had the feature....was wonderful with my young at the time daughter.

2late4u reacted to tsteves5 in 2017 3.6L Cylinder 3 Misfires
You could swap the injector to another cylinder and see if the other cylinder starts misfiring. Then you'll know for sure if it's an injector before buying a new one. If the misfire doesn't move after swapping the injector, then try swapping the coil. I've seen bad "new" ones of these.
I've had a few of the 3.6 engines. I've had misfires due to the wiring harness. In my case, the injector harness was not plugged in tight to the upstream harness. I've also had a misfire caused by a bad ECU. I was able to purchase a used/pre-programmed ECU online for a reasonable price. I had one engine with a persistent misfire that ended up being bad piston rings. A pressure leak-down test found that one. The 3.6 engine is also susceptible to the rocker arms issue. I've had this issue and it didn't cause a misfire condition because I caught it early enough, but I've read cases where it can cause a misfire issue.
I'm not trying to scare you here, just listing some other causes of misfires that I've personally seen.

2late4u reacted to Daniel Anderson in What made you smile today?
Got the radiator out. Mother's assistance appreciated to lift it up as I kept any snags out of the way, (bottom rad rubber hose and transmission coolant lines (bracket)
Keeping condensor straight up and down too.
Knowing the freon lines did not have to be opened up (high and low pressure line bracket holder has 10mm bolt that can be removed)to bring condensor forward was a plus

2late4u reacted to Daniel Anderson in 2015 Journey Radiator Removal
I was able on mine, remember to remove freon hose bracket bolt that supports hoses going to condensor, this will give additional room (to forward to front bumper fascia) so radiator can be removed.

2late4u reacted to Rina5677 in P0406 code
To wrap up my experience with this code - cleaning it did not help -replaced it with a SMP brand from rock auto (along with both gaskets) code gone, hesitation gone, mileage mildly improved. Very worth it. ($180 on rock auto). I would have tried a used one but couldn't find one at either of the local wreckers. I've driven it for 3000km since replacing it. Very glad I did.

2late4u reacted to jkeaton in marked site read
If you are referring to how it worked before by removing the posts when you clicked the "mark site read", it is different now, instead of removing the posts from the "new content" section, it just "de-bolds" the topics but leaves them there. Not sure if it is a glitch or just how the new format works.....

2late4u got a reaction from larryl in DODGE JOURNEY Key fob not detected
THIS is a common problem when people ask for help and then when they get the problem fixed they usually never come back to post the fix for the problem thus leaving others wondering on what to try, please repost when you find your problem solution

2late4u reacted to 5rebel9 in Rear aftermarket foglight
Welcome to the forum. Your question would be best answered if you could post if this Journey is indeed a European market vehicle or what was commonly called a "Gray market"import. The North american market Journey's do NOT require REAR fog lamps and are not wired for them. the N.A. market headlight switch for fog lights is for fronts only.

2late4u reacted to 5rebel9 in New cause for Service AWD light, ABS and traction control light to come on
For the benefit of you and others seeking advice/help in correcting a warning light{CEL/TCS/STAB. CONTROL/ etc.} it is necessary to post the actual codes and NOT description of code{s} IF they have them. Most major parts stores will check most system codes for free if a scanner is not available to the person involved with the vehicle. There ARE diagnostic steps for each and every code beyond just throwing in a replacement senor or part. For responders to be able to give good assistance , they need the actual code number so these steps can be suggested.
Please also remember the vast majority of members here are vehicle owners and not automotive technicians, some of us do however have that type of background,
So the better the background info posted of a problem will get better responses.
Good luck and keep us "posted" on your "journey" in keeping your GF's Journey working properly for her!

2late4u got a reaction from larryl in New cause for Service AWD light, ABS and traction control light to come on
a tire with a few pounds low will not put your journey into limp mode, sounds like you might have an electrical problem, also you could be having a problem with a wheel speed sensor. or maybe a wheel bearing going had,, hence the traction light
-
2late4u reacted to 5rebel9 in New cause for Service AWD light, ABS and traction control light to come on
With the circuitry and many modules to control functions, you really need to have a good scanner that can also read body control module{not just basic OBD} functions and codes They used to be a bit expensive a few YEARS ago, but are now pretty reasonable in cost. Knowing what CODES are at issue is 90% of the battle. I've found that poor wire connections and poor grounds are the true culprit to many problems, BUT trouble codes being retrieved and diagnosed shorten the figuring out process dramatically.
With what you have posted, any responses for "look at's" or fixes is just GUESSING,
YES TCS warning MAY be a bad sensor but it could also be a hub bearing going bad as part of the wheel sensor components{tone ring} are part of the bearing assembly.

2late4u reacted to 5rebel9 in Having issues with Alfaobd
Long overdue update
Mid January, when we had some "warmer" weather, my son and I got together and retried activating the remote start function. We had to use the baseline program remote setting for his early 2011 Mainstreet, but it took and remote start now works. I have not tried any other items as I don't think the car is equipped with needed hardware for other features. It sure would be nice for some kind of user guide for how best to apply alphaobd functions to various years/models
My son is ecstatically HAPPY to have remote start for his Journey, now all that's left to complete needs on it is to get the A/C working and figure out/fix why his drivers power seat stopped working. Of course weather and his work schedule will determine how soon that will happen !

Foul Interior Odor Finally Found. It is the dash silencer pad. I've owned this low miles 2014 Journey for a while and haven't been able to pinpoint the foul smell in the interior. I FINALLY removed the seats, carpeting, and center console and found it's the mastic/dash silencer. Since I wasn't going to roll the I.P. to remove the entire silencer, I ripped out everything I could get my hands on. I did replace it with Dynamat and jute as a replacement silencer. NO MORE STINK!!!
