Almost zero is still a positive number: therefore, it is still in the running.
When we push the start button, is it wired to the starter, or does it send a signal to the starter to start?

Well, that tops my insane things happening in a car. I moved years ago and had taken the telephone with me, old push button phone, wrapped the cord around it, put it in the back seat, 2 houses away from home phone rings twice. My friend and I looked and each other and we swore we'd never tell anyone.
I did a search; "My car started by itself and I don't have remote starter" and it seems this has been happening to other cars. Some good advice out here on what to check for.

I still think the DJ looks cooler than most other crossovers. A refresh is probably a good thing though. The thing in the article that struck me is that there may not be any V6 DJs after the refresh. Dunno. Love the 3.6.
    Peace.

I've seen cell phone/GPS mounts that stick to the windshield or the dash via suction cup. And for textured dashes, they make an adhesive mounted plastic plate, just big enough for a suction cup(I use these and put a dab of clear or black silicone on before I lay the suction cup, makes the bracket more permanent)

Well, you got me beat: 5 months and 3,000 miles! I, too, bought mine too fast thinking that it had things that it actually didn't have. Mine has leather, so stupid me figured heated seats and auto lights would be a given. Not to be. The salesman did point out the leather on the doors!

Great story. Don't apologize for the history lesson, that's why I posed the questions. Good or bad the forum is for sharing. Thanks!

Sort of... I loved my 69 340 Dart Swinger that I bought in 1970. Did modes and stuff. The first gas crunch killed my driving it. I God forgive me I traded it on a Vega and got nothing for it. Bought a New Jeep Liberty, almost the worst car I have ever owned. Wife loved it, I hated it. Owned a few things after that. Bought my 01 Jeep Cherokee, which I like 2 wd much later which we still have. A Saturn Vue with the rubber transmission which sucked big time. I liked it but it I still have it, but with a bad transmission. Then a Chevy Equinox, we had gotten the SUV bug by then. It was ok for a while, some problems, but we had a few problems that were fixed but came back. Then a big one that the shop I used could not fix. He had access to everything but dealer tech support. Time to go. My son bought a one year old DJ. They liked it, we liked it. So we got a new one form the same place he bought his... Phone sales by my wife, she got what she wanted, but we did not check out the options, our Bad, Got a right price with extend warranty that covers everything for 100k. My son had a Grand Caravan that gave him quite a bit of problems, so he traded it for the DJ. He had a 98 Dodge diesel that he traded on the Van. It was a good truck but he could not get all the kids and wife in it. Double cab.
Sorry for the long history,,, My son also has a Jeep Jeep. too. He is outside phone sales for a Big Dodge Dealer in Houston... HE went through a lot of bad times with bad dealers, dealers that sold out and all kinds of stuff for several years. He is back with Dodge and is happy.
So I am happy with Chrysler products. Would I recommend them to other people?? Yes and said so on Facebook (no bad comments on that please )

    Hi all
From Toronto, Ontario. Finally settled on a pre-owned 2013 Journey Crew in grey after trading in my 2008 Honda Accord. Drove it for a day or so and so far really enjoy the experience. Thank you for those that helped answer my questions and provided tips in my other thread. You guys are an awesome bunch and looking forward to sharing our Journey experiences together.

    Thanks

Great answer. I put in the comment about the dealerships, because I too had problems with a great dealership that went bad after a change of ownership. I've seen so many forum members complain about treatment after the purchase. I'm fortunate that there were many other dealers in our area, so I went to a different dealer and so far the dealer I chose has been A1. Having a long history of Chrysler products with solid and reliable service ( also being a Chrysler retiree helps) it was easy for me to continue buying Mopar. I can understand someone who bought a Chrysler product for the first time and having a terrible dealer experience, having second thoughts. That's why I love this forum and the great members who share their knowledge, experience and support. We have two great reps from Dodge who are here to smooth out the wrinkles and help make ownership a worthwhile experience. We also have Journeyman425, who sets a great example of the kind of dealer everyone appreciates. It's a tough competitive market, with great products from all manufacturers and a great ownership experience is not only the goal but vital for success.

Toyo Proxes 4, IMO are a very good tire I put them on my convertible PT Cruiser, not that it was anywhere closer to being an asphalt agitator, but they had a great ride, looked great, handled well and had a very good wear guarantee.
I may put them on my Saturn Sky once the Good Years are done.

I got a two monitor DVD player for about $70 over black friday last year. They are about 1/2" in depth. They just use velcro straps to wrap around the headrest. Work out great! And cheaper than tablet's.

We are all entitled to your own opinions but I truly think DRL's are beneficial to daytime driving, IMO there is nothing wrong with being seen by others during the day.
Minnesota is just below us so I am sure they have long cold dark winter nights also.
In my case safety over rules vanity which is why I personally happy with my DRL's and be seen safely during the day.

Cant say it enough. Get yourself a code scanner. Dealer will charge you @100 to read that code. You can buy a scanner for cheap these days and check the code yourself without having to go to the dealer.

When we lived in Houston, Tx., we had a 2010 R/T V6 AWD, which was a truly amazing vehicle, I was totally won over,
found it the best vehicle I had ever driven, whether driving out to visit Mom in Kerrville, or driving to San Antonio to see friends,
it handled the I10 so well. Driving up to Austin, down to Galveston, out to Fredricksburg, Bandera, Hunt, Junction, College Station,
it handled it all so well and drove like a dream.

When we moved on back to Australia in 2013 I bought the then current model SXT, put 19 rims on it, Cooper CS4 tires,
and am so pleased. This week we ordered a 2014 SXT for my wife, we pick it up on Thursday. Yes, we are well and
truly sold on the Dodge Journey 3.6 V6.

It would've been an A+ if you'd gotten the V6 . I didn't even want to test drive the 4 banger. No way a 4 banger has enough power to push a 4000lb vehicle...unless it's turbo.
