  1. I have a 2015 R/T AWD, when I brake, I feel the brake pedal give. Not a lot, but it is like a spring gives just enough to feel, not enough for the pedal to give, but enough to feel through my foot. I had it in and checked. Of course they did not have the issue. Anyone else get this? It does it most of the time now. Again, I have had not lights, or loss of brakes. It is more of an irritation now.
  2. I have a 2015 Journey R/T AWD and the breaks are grabby in cold starts, but ease up after warming them up. My break peddle has a slight give to it from time to time. Sort of like when you are sitting at a light, or just stopped with your foot on the break and all of a sudden it feels like a spring gives just enough to feel it give. There is no loss of breaks or lights, just a feel of a spring give with the break pushed in. Not pushed to the floor, just pushed in enough to stop. It is hard to explain, but that is one thing I have noticed.
  3. I had a 2014 FWD Dart, I really loved it in summer and fall. Then winter came and last month we got 8+ inches of snow and my street was so bad, I had to park at the end of my street a walk to my house. A fwd Journey is fine, but I wanted/needed that extra wheels spinning to help me deal with the kind of snow we get in NW Ohio. Besides it only goes AWD when traction is needed. MPG's only take a 1-2 MPG hit for AWD, IMO to me it was worth the cost and a small piece of mind. Tires are another great way to get through the snow/ice as well.
  4. I had a 2009 Dodge Journey SXT new in 2009 and now I am back with a 2015 Dodge Journey R/T AWD. I am and will always be a MOPAR guy. I won't shop/buy anything except MOPARs. I love the products and I know they are built as good if NOT better than anything out there, so I drive what I build, so to speak.
  5. I bought my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT on February 20,2009. I traded my 2009 Dodge Journey SXT in on a 2010 Dodge RAM 1500 Hemi 4x4 on May 10,2010. I am kind of sad, but excited at the same time. I love the Journey, but I wanted to get a truck. I had 15,059 miles on my Journey when I traded it in. I had four trips from Walbridge,Ohio to Kentucky and I loved the MPG's on Hwy. I loved the ride and all the little things. Back up camera, touch screen radio,UConnect, etc. All and all I had a great time in my Journey. I wish all of you Journey owners the best and hope your Journey is and was as great as mine.
  6. Well, I am just passing along what I was told. Besides I use synthetic oil and then I take it to the dealer and even with the tire rotation it is still cheaper than if I used their synthetic oil alone. Keep records to cover your butt, then there are no questions.
  7. Chrysler for warranty purpose told me (the service tech) no more than 6500 mile. That is what is stated in the book. You probably can get more out of the synthetic, but if you have a warranty, do not go over 6500 mile. Do not just take my word for it, call and ask Chrysler dealer.
  8. Never think that just because something is new it is not broke. Batteries are mass produced, so if it is the battery, it should still be under the 12/12 warranty. Everything is covered for 12 months or 12k miles whatever comes first.
  9. I have the 3.5L v6. I use Royal Purple synthetic oil in it. Ask the dealer, but I was told the longest Chrysler wants oil change to go is 6K,or 6500 miles. No matter what type of oil used, the oil filter is IMO the weak link. So, when in doubt ask the dealer and get it in writing if you do not trust their word. My 2cents.
  10. I have an 09 Journey almost loaded, with the 3.5L v6. I love driving it. I have had no major issues (knock on wood) with it and it drives and handles very well. I have had a good time driving it. I got it on Feb 21,2009 I have just under 11K miles.
  11. Hello to all my fellow DJ owners, I bought my Dodge Journey SXT 3.5L v6 back on February 21,2009. It had 13 miles on it when I first test drove it. I must say I really like this cross over. I have had mostly small cars a 1994 Caravan and a 2003 L200 Saturn. This fits into my life very nicely. Enough room to take trips in and yet not too big for a daily commuter. it handles very good nice ride. I have a 2007 Caliber that rides a lot more stiff/rough and this is a very nice riding vehicle. I am not as happy with the way the front breaks wear and build up dust, it is a major pain to me. I enjoy a clean car and it drives me crazy to see all the break dust build up. Knock on wood, I have had no major issue with my Journey. I have had a few minor incidents where someone hit my bumper in back and needed it fix due to a bolt came through the bumper a bit enough to create a problem down the road. The interior is very nice and comfortable, the heated seats and mirrors are very nice on cold days. I wish it had turn signals built into the mirrors, I in my opinion like it. The trunk with the seats folded down has ample room, with them up it has room for a few bags of things and two small humans, lol. I like the option of a small two seats, or more truck space. All in all I am very happy with my Journey and except for a few minor changes I would not trade it, except for a newer Journey with these options, lol.
  12. I have a 2009 Dodge Journey SXT 3.5l V6. I have been on a few trips of several hundred miles per trip. I have gotten 21-24 on the highway, at one point I did get 27.3 mpg. I know it may sound wrong, but I checked it a few times and it was not wrong. I fill up the same way I slow fill it till it clicks off then slow fill it again for 2 more clicks. I fill up that way all time every time I fill/top off. I get 15-17 in the city. I tend to drive the Journey nice some times and not so nice a lot of the times, lol. I do not beat it,I am a more spirited driver. I have filled up/topped off 49 times this year, I am averaging 16.98 MPG over all. My low mpg is 13.88 mpg and the high being 27.3 mpg. I am pretty happy with the Journey. I really do love it.
  13. I bought my Journey on Feb. 22 of this year and knock on wood I have had no issues with mine. The power sun roof has never leaked. I am sure the problem has been solved with the leaking issues. The Journey is a very nice cross over and I love mine. I hope and wish you well on your purchase. The Journey is a very nice ride.
