Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in 4.3/rha uconnect problems
You may need a software update for the radio as well... worth looking into.

Let us know how the windows media playlist works out...

Lobitz68 got a reaction from aukfan33 in Installing 8.4 uConnect (actually doing it)
They are telling you that they won't install it and that they will not take the time to do any work that is not detailed in there shop procedures... It IS possible. Expensive...but possible.

This is fairly exclusive to the 2.4, not the 3.6 that you have. My wife's Avenger does this and every 2.4 I've ever heard has done this. I believe it is related to the oil draining back and how long it takes (when cold) to get oil back up there, which wouldn't be resolved by a thickener...maybe by something that keeps things lubed up there even after the drain back would help, but I don't know that it is worth it.

I'm confused... nothing is actually wrong with it, correct? You just don't like the way the engine sounds?

I have had great success with them on heavy vehicles. I would avoid Drilled ones though...

Lobitz68 got a reaction from bfurth in What kind of the phone holder do you use in your DJ?
My pocket. With the bluetooth connectivity I don't really have a need to have my phone out...

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Concerns over adding factory NAV
The lock pick is indeed plug and play, and the install is not difficult. There is a video from the manufacturer of an install on a DJ.

Are you referring to the lock pick not being used frequently? If so, I think it is just that the typical owner of the DJ is not one who is customizing their vehicle much. There is one available and I haven't heard anything bad about the company for quite some time. I have personally considered one, but would rather spend money on other items at this time. It is certainly much cheaper than adding the oem NAV, and probably more reliable...
If you pull the trigger on one (that would be my recommendation given your situation), please report back about the install, function and usability of the device. I'm sure more people would consider one after seeing how easy they are to use and what you can do with them.

Nice work. I would have borrowed, begged or stolen an orbital as that had to be a ton of work. But hey, at least you got it done!

Someone who knows for sure will probably chime in, but I'm pretty sure it just snaps in and out... You will need trim removal tools.

This is an oil level code I assume, based on jkeaton's reply? Was the light blinking?? This is probably the easiest indicator to tell you whether or not it is okay to drive the vehicle (and it should state this in your OWNER'S MANUAL). If the light is blinking, turn off the vehicle immediately. If it is a solid light, get it checked ASAP, but it is okay to drive the vehicle in the meantime. I would agree that this is probably a faulty sensor, but make sure your oil level is correct.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in 10,000 Mile Report-2015 Journey
I'm just over 41,000 on my 2014 with a similar experience. Had the recall performed on the ABS module and a PCM update made (since I was already there) and that is it.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Fuel system flush
While I agree that they offer unneeded service, I have never encountered a dealer that suggests it NEEDS to be done. I wouldn't call that ripping people off or being dishonest...just suggesting a service that they offer.
