You get what you pay for. Radar under $100 is useless, imho.
Good radars are very similar if not same. Passport or Valentine - it's a meter of your preference, rather than technology advantage.

My research shows the PTB doesn't impact the HP (there are tons of never ending discussions if it does, but for this topic I assume it doesn't), but improves the throttle response. This is what I will interested in. I'm not looking for being faster on a quarter, but added fun of everyday driving is welcome.
Has anybody here tried or knows who tried the PTB?

Alright. Productive day here. Got the pi working exactly as it should. I can now start stop lock and unlock from the pi via an ssh connection. Configuration is a bit of a pain but works. Trying to make a web interface to do it all now.

I ran into a minor problem. It appears that the obdlink lx requires bluetooth 2.1 for it's simple auto protocol. Unfortunately, the dongle I've had for years is 2.0 only. I've ordered another but it won't be here until tomorrow.. so i'm done for now

Just installed new LED Morimoto fogs:

They look amazing and very bright. Apparently, HIRs are not the only option now to upgrade your fogs

I buy everything from TheRetroFitSource.com... Great customer service, quality components and good prices. They even have a bargain bin where you can piece together stuff a little cheaper than if you bought everything pre-tuned.
EDIT: If you wait for a holiday, they usually have pretty good sales. Not sure if Easter is one that they usually do, but it may be worth asking before you place your order.

Finally got around to paint everything.debadges the rear as well looks so much cleaner . Loving the white calipers and lug nuts .
Now gonna take apart headlights paint inside black then add some halos

Ugh. I keep seeing you guys say this about cold air intakes... Cold air is compensated for with more fuel. The ONLY compensation the computer does for colder air is to add fuel to keep the mixture stoic. It's why the trucks seem pepper when it's cold our and slightly sluggish when it's hot out. Valve timing doesn't change on VVT style heads either. It WILL make more power. Granted it is less than you would make by also improving the intake manifold. If u leave the exhaust alone you'll get some extra torque (higher relative back pressure) open the exhaust and you also raise the horses(but lower torque compared to not touching the exhaust)
Cold air intakes don't seem to do anything for us because (although restrictive) the factory intake IS a cold air intake. Better piping and a wider snorkel run to and from and through the exact same places WILL however increase throttle response as well as horsepower.

As promised - putting a short video of lights. I made this video after I installed a light bar in the lower bumper part.

After the headlight was retrofitted, hi beam is provided by the same bi xenon projector. So the test result is:
If low beam on - flash works as it is the same projector that drops the curtain.
If low beam is off and the vehicle in P - flash works via LED driving light - the LED DRL just turns on and off
If low beam is off and the vehicle is in D - flash doesn't work as the LED DRL is already on and doesn't change the output
