Remember, you can now stop quicker than most behind you, so keep an eyeball on the rear view mirror for any doofi behind who can't stop. Might be able to move a few feet forward to miss getting smacked. Happened to me more than once.

and bought new tires! Got to 40,000 miles on the factory Kuhmo's. Tread was almost to the wear bars, so I figured I'd go ahead and replace them now before snow season gets here. Picked up a set of Falken Pro G4 all season's from discount tire for $112 each.

Suspension on a bike is for sissies. BTW, it's an older Rocky Mountain Vertex. Decals worn/fallen off over the years.

Same thing happened to me and always seemed to be in front of my house. Took a while to figure out when I finally noticed one day it was my fault as I would just brush one of the buttons on the back of the steering wheel when turning the tight corner into the driveway. Done it a few times more and realized it was my big clumsy paws doing it. Didn't take much of a touch to do it either.

Sorry no. I don't use steelies. I use 19 in alloys for summer and 17 inch alloys for winter.

All the 17 inch wheels from Journeys are ok. None of the 16 inch wheels will fit. Journey shares the same bolt pattern with Caravans/Town & Country built since 2008. Not aware of any Jeep wheels that will fit.

When i ordered mine I told the sales guy that if they put a dealer sticker on the car I'd either. Immediately cancel the sale, or expect a 500 dollar a year, payable in advance, fee for dealership advertising. I have no dealer sticker.

Hopefully now, I won't find it shrunk wrapped in chrome in the front yard!

I purchased a set of drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads from Drilled Rotors. Well pleased 2 yrs later. Don't seize in winter after sitting a couple days from salt/calcium chloride winter road treatment either. Still running true and minimal dust with the ceramic pads.

There is an entire section dedicated to brakes and lots of info in it on this forum.. Your 2011 has the so-called small brakes and yes they tend to wear faster than Journey's built after mid 2012 when larger brakes started to show up on higher end models. 50k, isn't that bad, for some. It's impossible to judge not knowing how you drive. Here is a tip. DO NOT replace the pads and/or rotors with the standard MOPAR parts again. Go with higher quality aftermarket parts and preferably CERAMIC pads. The dealer will charge way too much for the stock stuff and you can do a lot better (cheaper) at an independent shop that knows what they are doing. There is lots of better, longer lasting quality brake parts out there.

And that is ok. But do remember, winter tire rubber compounds have changed drastically in the last 20 years and you can't compare old snow tyres with the new stuff. The new compounds are amazing. Better living through chemistry!

Kinda wondered what set off those alarms at the exit doors of many retail stores. It turns out my Dodge Journey key fob does! So far, have triggered the exit alarm at Home Depot, Walmart, Sobeys, Visions Electronics, Best Buy. Not all the time but VERY frequently. Always at some stores. Did a test at one store with cooperative staff and proved it. Any one else have this happen?
Sure gets the security people excited at Walmart!
