Your 2011 has the so-called small brakes and yes they tend to wear faster than Journey's built after mid 2012 when larger brakes started to show up on higher end models. 50k, isn't that bad, for some. It's impossible to judge not knowing how you drive. Here is a tip. DO NOT replace the pads and/or rotors with the standard MOPAR parts again. Go with higher quality aftermarket parts and preferably CERAMIC pads. The dealer will charge way too much for the stock stuff and you can do a lot better (cheaper) at an independent shop that knows what they are doing. bigtsr Posted August 5, 2015 Report Share Posted August 5, 2015 I just had my '11 brakes/rotors done all around at my dealer at 50,000 km for 795.00 plus tax and will be satisfied with another equal wear factor as 95% of my driving is city. I can see replacing the rotors, if needed, and pads, but I'd need some convincing that the calipers had failed. Get a second opinion. Good luck. bramfrank Posted August 6, 2015 Report Share Posted August 6, 2015 You can get a full set of pads and disks for under $200 - takes about 90 minutes to do yourself or have an indie mechanic do it. Well pleased 2 yrs later. Don't seize in winter after sitting a couple days from salt/calcium chloride winter road treatment either.
