Just adding for clarity.  A Google search revealed the following:  The P2173 OBD-II trouble code is one of number of possible codes that indicates that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has detected a malfunction in the operation of the Throttle Actuator Control System. ... Code P2173 is set by the PCM when high air flow is detected in the throttle actuator control system.

    Peace.

Did you buy it new? That info should be on the window sticker. If you don't have it you can go to the dodge owner website and get that info.

    EDIT
This is the website. You will need to create an account but it is free to do so.

so what eng 3.6 i guess?how many miles on the speedo, does the journey seem to be running fine, hard to guess what is wrong from here, sounds like a trip to your dealership for a diagnostic test, possible gas leaking  from tank my daughters caravan the fuel pump leaked right after coming out of the tank they used a plastic fitting that would age and crack.good luck on what you find out.

Check your brakes also. The dealership here does not check the brakes as part of a routine oil change without tire rotation. They mark off the blue (N/A) spot on the inspection sheet.

You may have a slight drag on a brake. The front should make the car pull to one side, even slightly. The rear will not show in driving if very light but it will wear the pads and rotors noticeably and drop gas mileage considerably.

As jkeaton said, it might be time for a tune up.  If over 100,000 miles, get your spark plugs changed (if they have not been changed before).  If it is a 6 cylinder, go with the iridium plugs, preferably mopar plugs.  And - take the advice from the boys above and check the brakes.

    Best of luck.

I def get more per tank, but the majority of my miles are highway or a combo of both. Check the brakes like mentioned. Keep us up to date with this one.

Glad to see you got that fixed. Stealerships are horrible with that up-sell every time you come in for something, no matter how minor. Good advice on checking the tray next time the wheel is off.

Still raining here, you'd think I was in Seattle instead of Baltimore we've had so much rain.

The first pic is the new 2018 SE, Blacktop. The second is the 2014 SE, I think it was called the American Edition.

Thanks for the welcome, but it's more like a welcome back. Been around for a couple years just not very active lately. And you are right, it was an SXT not SRT, damn my fat fingers and muddled mind. Forgive the typo.

Look at the window sticker, that should list all features. Hard to believe a 2018 SXT doesn't have those, BUT stranger things have happened.

Fishing with my two youngest. My boy loves to fish, but the girl really LOVES to fish. We went fishing yesterday and she wanted to use my Bang garlic lure spray. I told her yes, but tried to tell her to wait because of the wind. Well she didn't wait and as soon as she sprayed it the wind blew it back in her face, thankfully she had the presence of mind to close her mouth and eyes. I ran over to her thinking she would be upset, but all she said was, "well, at least I won't get eaten by a vampire", then kept right on fishing. That put a huge smile on my face.
