    Fogging

Check the storage bins in the rear seat floor for water. Pull the front door sill trim then feel under the carpet for water. I had this issue and had water pooling under the carpet. On mine the top of the carpet was still dry to touch. I had to repair a leak then remove the carpet to dry it. Hank
  2. Was it a private sale or from a lot? Go back and ask for help or get your money back.
  3. Have you checked for a bad bushing or bent parts?
  4. Time for a new thermostat. Easy diy job on either 2.4l or 3.6l. Hank
  5. The problem could be as simple as the hoses are reversed connecting to the heater core.

    high mileage

No timing belt to worry about on this 2.4l.
  7. Probably the engine oil cooler under the intake manifold is leaking the oil into the coolant. The transmission cooler is part of the ac condenser. Not in the radiator on the journey.
  8. I did this repair on my 2014 van. Just one rocker failed the others were still in good shape so I left them alone. The hardest part of the job was getting the rear cover bolts off. They and the wiring are tight at the firewall. Hank
  9. Actually I just got a notice in the mail today asking me to bring it in to have a new catalytic converter and a software update installed. This car is smog tested once every 2 years and easily passes. I'm not understanding why this is needed? Hank
  10. Is it possible to get the codes with out a reader. My 2014 ram van still allows the key dance method. Hank
  11. Here in Canada the front plate is attached directly with self tapping screws no bracket needed. Hank
  12. We had a 2004 Malibu that had a chronic water leak into the trunk area. After the local dealer failed to repair it. We used a garden hose to find the cause. Turned out to be a seam wasn't sealed. Silicone sealer fixed it. Hank
  13. It's located between the muffler and the spare tire. On the plastic part.
  14. That is the shield riveted to the plastic part that surrounds the spare tire. I reattached mine with black zip ties. It falls off after the steel rivets rust away. Hank
  15. Since your tires are wearing evenly I wouldn't worry too much about it. See what the dealer that did the work last time has to say about it. It probably is still within limits some shops like to push parts. Hank
  16. Check the wires in the rubber sleeve at the top left of the rear hatch. The wires are known to break there. Hank
  17. Headgasket, jumped timing, lots of possibilities Hank
  18. Time to have a professional mechanic diagnose this, probably better than just throwing parts at it. Hank
  19. I just received a letter today from FCA informing us of Catalytic converter problems with our Journey. Has anyone else received this? Hank
  20. I installed Pioneer Ts-a6966r 6 x 9 speakers into the front doors of my 2013 without any problems. Also upgraded the dash speakers wih1" power acoustik tweeters. I was looking for a way to mount them so I used a hot glue gun to glue them to the top of the old speaker. Huge difference in sound now. Hank
