i'm not sure what the 4.3 uses, but if I read the manual correctly, the 8.4 will recognize windows media player playlists so that is what I'm going to try. I will let you know how I make out.
I've been carrying a 4g flash drive with me for a while now... when I go down the hi-way at work, all our hi-way trucks have USB slots in them so it's nice to have some good tunes to listen to. No playlists, just a general shuffle, which is OK too. Just thought that since this has that option, I can create a list for me, one for the "Boss" and one for both of us.
As for Itunes, I'm immune... don't own any Apple products.

Well, hopefully this will take care of it for you. You mentioned stamping.. I'm assuming Warren or Sterling, but it really doesn't matter. Pretty sad when you have to get all the big guns involved to solve what should have been a very simple procedure. If you keep the DJ, and I hope you do, they are great cars, don't go back to the Larry,Moe, and Curly show you took it to this time if you have any future issues. Dealer incompetence has cost this company dearly.

I think you should change dealerships. They are NOT all the same, unfortunately. Most dealer garages are great, a few don't have a clue.

Now, having said that, some code readers are pretty cheap in price, and it might be worth the peace of mind it would give you to know for sure..

Most are reusable... but I have seen some that are "use once" so that you have to destroy them in removal. Harbor Freight sells these as well.

Just curious, after you " bled a bit just in case" when you pushed the caliper piston back in, did you bleed the system after you installed the new pads and the calipers? If you opened the sealed hydraulic system, you should make sure you have purged all the air from it.
FWIW, I've never opened a bleed screw to push the pistons back in... use one of the old pads and a large c-clamp. Put the old pad in place and tighten the clamp down until the piston is back in.

You lose storage space by having the 3rd row seating. Without the seats installed, you have extra storage below the floor in the rear where the seats would be. I can't tell you how much you lose as I've never done a comparison and I have the 3rd row seating in my '15.

Well, definitely NOT a DJ issue. Created a couple of new dummy entries and they uploaded to the Uconnect right away. Makes absolutely no sense to me at all, but not the first time that's happened...

OK, software update installed. No changes on the surface.... and no changes with my phone.
I've come to a possible conclusion that it is something in my contacts list. I base this on that it does upload a partial phone list.... 8 seemingly random, unconnected names. And, when I connect to SWMBO's vehicle, 09 Dodge Nitro, the SAME random, unconnected names get uploaded to the Uconnect. I've looked at the phone book entries, and can't see any differences in how they are entered.... hopefully I won't have to re-enter all the names (shudder!!) IDK. i guess I will try and contact my cell phone provider, and see if they can offer a solution.

I recently changed cell phones. New phone is a Motorola G 3rd generation. The issue I'm having is not having my phonebook transfer from the phone to the uconnect in the DJ. Radio is the 8.4 unit, no NAV. My Samsung worked flawlessly with it. Is there a compatibility list available somewhere? I've been looking, so far have not found one. I've been searching the uconnect site and the Motorola site and support forum, but so far no joy.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Also, in checking the uconnect site, it appears there might be a software update for my unit. Have to double check the version when I put the usb stick in. Has anyone done an update? Did it fix problems, or create new ones?
Is there a way to force a phonebook update? I haven't found one yet....

Well, I'll throw my hat in the ring in favour of a (insert your brand choice here) GPS, instead of the factory NAV system. My wife has one in her Nitro, and while it DOES work like it's supposed to, the inability to do almost ANYTHING with it while driving turned me right off. That, and the price of the updates. Sure, the indash unit is convenient, but not worth the price IMHO. I installed a disk in the center of the dash over the radio and mount the gps there. I find mounting it to the windshield puts it too far away for convenient use.

All depends on your dealer. Mine didn't charge me anything for it.
