Clock issues on 2012 Journey

The clock on my 2012 Journey is going faster than real time. In about a month it would be 15 mins ahead and 2 months 30 mins ahead and so on. Any one else had this issue?

Yup. Havent "investigated" how fast or slow.

I just know, it's usually off.

I've noticed it to be as far as 5 minutes off.

Oh well..

Yes, not as much as you (I'd say about 1 minute a week) but not acceptable in this day and age.

Yup....every once in a while have to change the clock back to its right time.

Those of you who have navigation can synchronize your clock with GPS time under settings and never have to set the clock again.

2012 Dodge Jouney here also. The time does seem to move forward a bit but nothing crazy, I'm not really one to complain about having to adjust my clock every couple months.

Not sure. It seems to me that if the GPS info is available, synchronization of the clock makes perfect sense. Not to sound callous, but check your owner's manual to see if this is possible.

My wife tuned in to a radio station the day it happened to her that had the info "broadcast" and the radio set itself. 4.3 setup 2012 here.

Though most stations here send a clock signal via RDS, the option is not available.

The manual says that Sync Time is available "only for some versions/markets".

Frankly, in the 21st century it shouldn't be difficult to make a clock that keeps accurate time (in my previous cars, some of them made in the 20th century, I only had to adjust the clock twice a year for DST change).

Edit: and they managed to show the date too.

My 2011 Journey lost one and a half hours in four weeks so the dealer said he had to replace the radio.

That's what happens when you use the cheapest bidder korean/vietnamese/china made clock .

I think all American assembled cars are at least forty percent asian built parts. My 19 inch painted sports rims are made in China.

They can produce quality products like golf equipment but most companies want more and more profit so paying $2.00 an hour for labor is very appealling.

Lots have this problem. My dealer fixed mine under warranty, replaced the radio.

use to work at chrysler electronics yrs ago and we made radios, there use to be a part called a trimmer inside you can adjust to speed up or slow down the time. if your still in warranty take it to your dealer they can replace radio.......

Nitros had this problem.  It had nothing to do with the radio, but some module under the hood.
