It helped i had multiple cars to spread the mileage out, at one point I had 7 at once lol. What can I say I like cars ? ? ? Gas prices in the Northwest didn't motivate me to go on roadtrips either. Now my wife and I work remotely from home so we're driving even less. Prices are better here in TX compared to WA but lack of commuting helps allot. Christy
I currently have a little over 313,000 miles on my 2014 Journey... I will say that this has been a car that was well worth the purchase! We have of course had stuff go wrong and need to be fixed but nothing really major. My husband is a mechanic so he has always kept up the maintenance! Anytime we say how many miles are on it people are like wow! jkeaton
Ashers
Mine is a 2010 and it has 241, 000 miles on it and the only thing I’ve had to fix is my brakes once (all 4 wheels), the tires once (obviously) lol and the motor for my drivers side electric window. Locosiete
My 2013 is still under 90k miles. Since 2020 working from home I rarely drive it. Plus it's a toy now, not really practical for anything other then cruising now. Never thought I'd say that about my journey ? ? ?

My wife says i have to sell the Buick and the '14 BEFORE I can buy a minivan or Pacifica, which would be more beneficial to my uses. Staceyks610
Super proud of my hubby because he takes such great care of our vehicles, 2013 Dodge Journey with 212,000 miles and 2010 Toyota Rav4 with 215,000 miles and still going strong. larryl, Locosiete and 2late4u

thejourneycar
Ours is a 2010. We don't drive it daily but often enough. Since purchasing it new 02/2011, we put about 210,000 km or about 130k mi. Mostly problem free, just it eats brakes like crazy lmao and the 3.5 likes to drink gas but overall a reliable package. The biggest repair headache was a leaking sunroof after it was replaced due to damage from a hailstorm. But the repair shop finally got it fixed right (even sending a tow truck over 100 miles to my house to pick it up and drop off a rental). I bought it in 2011 so it is definitely the longest I have ever owned the same vehicle. I'm very pleased with how long, and how well, it has lasted. I'm not the gentlest driver and I definitely put on the miles so for it to still be running so well amazes me to be honest, lol Have you ever changed timing belt on 3.5 V6? I haven't but watched a video online and it on the 3.6L V6 and that was pretty big endeavor. I'm not a mechanic or claim to be one by any stretch. I'm no stranger to turning wrenchs and making repairs but I watched that and realized that is WAY beyond my skill to even attempt.
Journeyman425
Hi all - I haven't been on the forum in a while. Life has been pretty busy! Still with my 2013 Journey Crew, now over 211,000 miles. The photo was from about six weeks ago. It still looks beautiful, it runs and rides right. Everything works. I had a Chrysler 300M for 22 years and 339,000 miles and thought nothing could be as good. We've got a while to go but this Journey is giving the Chrysler a really good run. We've had three fairly significant failures recently. A valve cover gasket leaked oil onto the starter and caused it to fail, so the car had to be towed for the first time for that. Another time the alternator stopped charging while my wife was driving, on her way to my shop she ran out of battery power literally a block away. I met her with the booster pack and drove it to my shop with the pack connected! Then last month, the power steering assist failed. The pump had fluid, it wasn't excessively noisy, there were no leaks and the belt was turning so I drove it to the shop. It was just a little tight at slow speeds. We replaced the pump and the rack and now it's perfect. The new rack still has that razor-sharp steering response that makes the car fun to drive. In 2013, Chrysler still offered a Lifetime Maximum Care service contract, so all three of these failures were covered with only the deductible as my responsibility. Even if they weren't covered though, I'd have made these repairs rather than get rid of the car. None of these failures can be considered unreasonable when the mileage exceeds 200K and twelve years of age. The only time we were ever stranded was for the starter, and only 15 miles from home so no biggie. I still love driving this car. It's smooth, quiet, reasonably powerful and very comfortable. They weren't very common in my area back when it was new and there are fewer still around now - and none in Copper Pearl which still looks really good to me. My kids were 9 and 13 when it was new. Both are grown up and have left the nest, but we still have our yellow lab who now has the whole back seat to himself. We use a Weathertech seat protector for him and the seat is still in great condition. larryl, Locosiete, 5rebel9 and 1 other 2
5rebel9
Great to hear the update! Our son's '11 now has over 228k miles, but is showing body "wear and tear" thanks to WNY winters and a minor parking lot pass. side swipe that the "perp." did not hang around to make amends for. It is still going strong, but with his job, he is starting to look for a replacement after six years with him. the wife's '13 rt has 180k miles and doing well. MY '13 sxt four banger is doing great(now that 250 lbs. weight in middle floor for winter) with 185k miles. AND YES, life does have a way of keeping folks busy...even when we reach that "empty nest" stage of life! Journeyman425
Oh good I'm glad it came through. Thanks for the compliments! I took that photo in late September when it was still nice and warm here, I had just washed the Journey and coated it with MaxEasy. That stuff works very nicely with Copper Pearl - it really makes it pop. As I write this, it's freezing outside and DJ and my Challenger are covered in wet snow! I'm glad I'm not alone with having the "white stuff" covering the cars and yard! We've been getting pounded with snow and bitter cold since Thanksgiving night. I had another posting that relayed my experiences so far this winter that all I'm doing is clearing off the cars and blowing out the driveway, with the added task of bringing firewood up from the basement to feed our living room wood stove. The only green grass I've seen is from where I clear part of the lawn to park the cars to do the driveway and have extra parking area for family gathering for family Dec. birthdays and Christmas day! You let that Challenger be exposed to the weather??????
Powerz69
2014, 350km or 220miles. Just changed the original brakes and rotors at 330km. I’m blown away at how long the brakes lasted. Overall I’m very happy with the small amount of stuff that went bad. So far I replaced the front wheel bearings, Front lower ball joints, shocks front and back, radiators X2, viscosity unit for all wheel drive. I was able to replace everything myself and very happy about that. The viscosity unit was the only thing I was not happy about replacing. It went the fastest just over 100km and out of warranty. I drove it for another 120km before replacing it. lol John/Horace, larryl and 2late4u
John/Horace
Viscous coupling unit is a common maint issue. Need to watch for leaks, keep it topped up or fix leak. Did you add a block heater to the engine, or is in a garage over night, curious. Bad winter this year. Our 2014 is 280kms or 155k miles, alternator and oil cooler filter housing were only earlier than expected fixes.
