  1. Am I too late? I only saw your message today, logged in to DealerConnect and checked your options and the codes are already there. Sorry!
  2. HI Tina - yes, a Sales Code has to be added to the vehicle's configuration, and then the vehicle reconfigured so that the new code is recognized. This enables the trailer wiring and allows it to work. I can add the sales code for you; however your Journey will still have to go to a dealer in order to be reconfigured. So with that being said, you may as well just have them add the sales code and then reconfigure it all at once. If you prefer that I add it for you and then you take it in for the reconfig, then please provide me with the last eight characters of your VIN and the approximate mileage, and I can add the code for you.
  3. http://5EFC7023-9D4D-4645-BFAD-F1C849B3035E_1_201_a.heicHello everyone! Still alive and kicking! Here's my 2013 Journey, now 10 years old with 166.000 miles. Had our first round of trouble where a valve cover gasket leaked, oil ran into the starter motor and shorted it out. Replaced the gasket, starter, battery, replaced the plugs with the intake out and changed the oil and filter. Three days later something sliced the passenger side rear tire on the Cross Bronx Expressway (shocker) but I was able to get the temporary spare on to get us home. New tire this weekend, and she runs and rides perfectly once again. This car has held up exceptionally well and still looks really good doing it. (I thought the photo would be attached but it's just a link to it, sorry) 5EFC7023-9D4D-4645-BFAD-F1C849B3035E_1_201_a.heic
  4. Still a very happy Journey owner. Nine years, 158.000 miles, and the car continues to be extremely reliable, comfortable, quiet and fun to drive. We've done a lot of traveling in this car and it has never been problematic on any road trip. It has not once failed to start. I'm not crazy about the 62TE transmission's shift programming and sometimes I use AutoStick and just do it myself, but the transmission itself is trouble-free. Last fall I replaced all four struts and installed new Michelin Primacy Touring A/S tires which are even smoother and quieter than the Kumho Solus tires that came with it, plus they are much better in the snow (my Journey is FWD, not AWD). Had the cam and lifter tick which developed a few thousand miles ago - it was just noisy, no engine light, and I have Lifetime Maximum Care which covered that repair with a $100.00 deductible and she's once again smooth and silent. Everything works. Here's a photo of it next to my new Challenger. Hard to tell which is the new car in this photo! 01C36DA7-EC8E-4D43-8DCF-46188A8533A6_1_201_a.heic
  5. Hey RT Man - good to see you too. I know I've been scarce on these pages but I still love my DJ. 155K miles, recently put four shocks and new Michelins all around, just did the exhaust cam on the front cylinder bank for the cam and lifter tick, and it runs smooth and silent once again - until three weeks ago when it got hit yet again. This is the third time in the bodyshop ( it got hit twice in two weeks several years ago and we combined those two repairs) and it's being repaired yet again. But we still love it and have no plans to sell or trade it.
  6. 2013 Journey Crew, still cleans up nicely after a wash. 154K miles and no issues.
  7. Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I am still a very happy Journey owner. Washed and detailed it today and it's sitting in my driveway looking beautiful. Eight years and 140,000 miles, and the car has been superb. We had a major collision late in 2014 at 30K miles when a young driver blew a red light and destroyed the whole front end of the car. It was repaired properly and 110K miles later, the car has had very few issues. The Radio Frequency Hub began intermittently dropping phone connectivity and was replaced. I had a bad temperature door actuator for the rear heater, and the usual P0128 thermostat rationality that affects nearly every 3.6 ever built. The important thing is that the car has never once left my wife stranded anywhere, and it remains quiet, comfortable and economical. It could now use a set of shocks - the body motions are not as controlled as they used to be. I went 110K miles on the original rear brakes. Three years after the last payment, we have no intention to get rid of it anytime soon. She loves the car as do I. My kids are out of the house now but our yellow lab goes everywhere in it with us. If I had to replace it tomorrow, I'd be disappointed that I couldn't buy another new one. Here's a shot in the driveway from two years ago with the coffin up top getting ready to help move my oldest son home from college.
  8. Titles and artwork do not display with Bluetooth connection, only with USB cable connection.
  9. The oil filter adapter housing is a powertrain-covered repair. Post the last 8 digits of your VIN and the mileage and I can check coverage for you.
  10. P06DD Pertains specifically to oil pressure as measured at the dual stage oil pump, where P0520 Is the pressure sensor under the intake. That is definitely the more common one. The oil pump falls under powertrain coverage. If your Journey is within the powertrain warranty then there would be no charge to replace it. The pressure sensor is a Basic 3/36 Warranty item.
  11. There is a service bulletin for the whine sound when cold. The idler pulley bearing can make this sound. Mine screeches for a few seconds in extreme cold. The power steering pump makes a noise like it's low on fluid for several seconds after cold start. Finally, there is a moaning sound from the engine after a cold start which lasts about a minute then stops. Been making that since new. The minivans do it too, but strangely, not the Grand Cherokee, Durango, 300 and Charger - essentially the RWD platforms as opposed to the FWD ones. No worries.
  12. Is yours Front Wheel or All Wheel Drive? Mine is FWD and is a rocket ship when floored. Too much power for the front wheels - I get torque steer and really have to hold on. How many miles on yours? Give the tranny time to adapt to your driving style and it should feel more responsive after a few thousand miles of adaptation and break-in.
  13. You’ve likely got a faulty wheel speed sensor. You’ll need to have the vehicle scanned for codes to determine which one. Each of the four wheels has a sensor. If any one sensor fails, the ABS and traction control systems will be disabled as well as the AWD.
  14. I , for one, think the color is quite cool! Would love to see one in person.
  15. Replace the battery. Regardless of what the test results were, it's at least four years old and is at the end of its useful life anyway. I would be very surprised if you had an electrical drain on the car unless there was some sort of modifications made.
  16. We had a 2010 at my shop which did the same thing, and the tailgate wiring was the culprit just like this one was.
  17. Hi All - Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I haven't been around here much lately but I still peek in occasionally when time permits! DJ is still going strong at 81,000 miles with no issues. All the best!
  18. Changing country code was the method of enabling DRL years ago on certain Chrysler products. Not anymore. A sales code is required to enable the DRL. I just checked and the code is not available to me, as has been the case for at least two years now, perhaps more. Sorry!
  19. Sorry I've been so scarce...life's been busy. All good for the most part, but serious limitations on my Forum time.
  20. Some newer Chrysler products are equipped with Apple CarPlay which displays artist and track info over Bluetooth, similar to what we see with a USB cable connected. The Journey does not offer Apple Carplay.
  21. Post the last 8 digits of your VIN and I will tell you if the warranty extension applies to your VIN.
