Just curious, why go from 19" tires to 17" ? I would have thought the larger diameter tire would be better for off road type trails having more clearance under the DJ ?. 

Thread is 5 months old I know but tried to also go up one size on my 2012 SXT today. Kal Tire ordered Michelin Defender LTX 235/65/R17 104T to replace the Kumo 225/65/R17 factory. I guess, the 65s are just a little too wide ? Salesmen  thought going up one size was ok, but installer called us in and showed tires would rub. I just figured they would have had experience and know immediately. Settled on Mich Def 225s. 

Suggest buying the cargo mat also at some point. The weathertech I have has done its job well....lack of rain has made hauling kids baseball equipment pretty messy this year.

Bosch icons seem to work well for me on the front. Cost was $22 and $25 I believe from Canadian Tire. I too notice I need to replace the rear blade. Sounds like I may go with OEM then.

Ya, I go by the 6 month rule on my DJ but, the dealer (GM) told my wife when the free oil changes on her 2014 Trax are over. Only use the computer remind then change oil. So, that will be more than a year with her driving habits. Should be interesting should warranty issue ever occur.

Dig your heels in the ground but let them do their thing routine investigation. The service bulletin described exactly what is happening in my case, yours as well as others here. Once changed, mine stopped the whinning for the 15 seconds on these cold start ups; now it does not. Just the momentary noise at first start. Why not try going to a new one on the lot and start it ? If no extended noise...probably no argument after that ?

There was a issue with the tensioner / idler pulley, someone posted the pdf here maybe a year ago. I had same issue and got it replaced, jkeaton is correct but mine whine lasted to long on startup. Do a search for the topic , you should find it.

Damn that looks sharp ! It looked great before the bottom grill cover was installed. I think in this case a darker colour DJ is best ? Can't see my silver popping like your black does.

to tint shop for window tinting. Guys showed me this 1/8" flexible tint in clear, light tint and dark tint. I put it on my headlights to protect plastic lens from clouding. A worker had the dark on his taillights, looked great. It is not your typical window tint film. It is almost like a thin rubber sheet. I'n in Ontario Canada, cost me $ 60 installed for both headlights.

Remember when we would simply remove the rattling heat shields around the catalytic converters , because the spot welds rusted apart ? ( Guilty as charged on two rear wheel drive vehicles ) I know being closer to the motor meant more heat than this location( spare tire ) but, those floor panels got pretty warm on the feet when car was not moving. I agree, they were not installed as a decoration.

Noticed the same stumble / slight hesitation on occasion during accelerations. Happens then it is gone, with no constant for reference other than I notice during accelerating. So infrequent that I assumed some adjustment happening like was previously mentioned. No warning light etc... Just letting you know it happens to other DJs also.

The tint shop I used also installed a light tint covering on my headlights. He took me to see how he used the dark tint on his truck taillights too. It looked great but, it is on the outside of the lens. It is a 1/8" thick rubber like material that stretches a little and s friction fit and installed like window tinting Cost was about $30 each side, but can be removed later without any issues. My headlight covering has been on for almost a year now, no issues.

"faser" was in general for the 3.6 L, you can feel the motor pulling on the DJ. I had a 3.8L in a 1979 sunbird that was fast off the hop but, this 3.6 motor can really move the heavy DJ along. More of a compliment than a statement about removal of the rubber weather strip. Sorry for sounding that this made a difference right away.

Took DJ in yesterday for a couple items prior to 3 year warranty expire in April. Dealer replaced the tension idler pulley (lots in stock - common problem I guess). I just printed the bulletin posted above. Also, ordered a new fuel pump to address the fuel indicator never going to FULL mark, another TSB issue. Made note of the hard shift / clunk issue but that is under the 5 year warranty. Fortunately, unfortunately the replaced brake pads / rotors still good (LOL)., no replacements.
