I just checked my front passenger fender and it is done the same same as the picture that is posted with the silver or colors part showing not the black liner.that said you can just insert the correct push pin Thur the front hole and it will go Thur the black fender liner and then you continual to push the locking pin all the way flush and it WILL lock the liner into place you don't need to hold it from the back side IF you are using the correct t size push pin.......that said all the fender liners we have on our journeys do NOT really fit tight and it is a wonder they don't cause a lot of extra noise I have considered going around all 4 wheel wells of my journey and use some metal screws and screw the plastic panels together to see if it would make the journey quieter ,BUT since I was to lazy to do it and now at 72 yrs old my hearing has went to chit ,,,i am not worried about it anymore as we don't even turn our radio when we drive anymore....LOL ALSO your local parts store probably wont have this color push pin that you will need most of them all come in BLACK of course if they have one that fits you could always just paint it with some paint to match or go to your local dealership and show them this picture and they will sell you that pin if they can get it but it will be EXPENSIVE for just the one pin

well,,, then take it to a body shop or your local garage anyone can fix this in just a couple of minutes,stay away from the dealership for this repair

just wondering since I don't have automatic light switch on my 2014 BUt since you do and you state the dash and 8.4 screen is not ass bright there is a small wheel switch on the left hand side on the dash that controls the brightness and dome lights have you tried moving it upwards till the dome lights come on and then back off one notch,,,just a thought since you made no reference to such a switch...also remember the center consul plug in for phones stays hot all the time only the power outlet in the front dash cubby hole turns off the power when the journey is not running

So have you HAD the battery load checked and charging system checked lately????? and NOT 4 yrs ago????? just trying to help you without spending big bucks at your dealership and yes things do wear out I have a 2014 and my displays are still bright as they have been...also a lot of folks complain of starting problems and other electrical problems and when we get them to check their battery connections some of them yep their was a loose connections, or it was corroded, or the battery or alt wasn't up to snuff,,,,, there is a high chance the battery is getting weak........Good luck on what ever they find

I would first have the alt checked to make sure it is putting out the correct current while running and also have the battery load checked as well both checks can be done at most auto parts stores for free,the electronics can act crazy without the proper current supplied to them.....that said there is a sensor that determines whether its day or night that controls the brightness of the lights inside the journey ,does your change brightness after it gets dark outside? as far as the horn beeping the three times and unlocks your journey after you have loved it and walked away is a common occurrence that I have as well ,I believe the journey notices that I have manually locked it before shutting the doors but hen thinks the keys are still inside the vehicle and will not let me walk away without beeping,kind of irritating but no big deal,,also first time iv read where the LCD displays degrade over time ????

IF you are getting cold air from one vent but not the others I would say it is a blend door problem

so much info needed to help your problem, like eng size and when you say new are you meaning rebuilt ,brand new, or salvage yard new, also I would say you need to find a new mechanic that is qualified to dig your problem, has any of the mechanic you talk about been the dodge dealership? yes more expensive but they are better off to fix your problem then the local garages,good luck and please report back on whatever to be your problem so others might benefit,,,,P.S. we have some great mechanics here on the blog they probably will chime in soon so keep checking back for some answers as well

you could use a meter to see if the motor is bad or not,,,,also check the wire connectors to see if the voltage is making it to the motor

call the dealership for the correct plug, they last at least 100k so with all the trouble to do them I would use OEM weather you buy from them or else wear,also one of our guys here also recommends changing out another part while doing this and he rec using OEM on it as well I cant remember the part name,,check out the forum we have here under the engine drivetrain section good luck

they are talking about the oil cooler which wouldn't have anything to do with heat or air inside the cabin,that would be the heater core that might be the restriction on the inside of the cabin on just one side check out YouTube for more info on the shortcut replacement of heater core, or your blend doors as well could be your problem also check out YouTube for info on how they work and replacement P.S. what code are you showing?also engine size and mileage would help........just seen the code on the org post which is due to thermostat this wouldn't give you heat on just one side of your cabin.....

I had a caravan I was driving down the road everything was fine, shut it off and then tried to start it and all the electronics went crazy and it wouldn't start battery was 4 yrs old and alt tested fine just finally died when it did I always start with the easiest and cheapest test before moving on to other more complicated things that might have gone bad

, when i turned the key for starting , nothing happens ,however my battery is in good condition HAVE you actually had the battery load checked to make sure it is in top condition? also have you had the journey scanned with a quality scanners to see if there are any codes?

could be the fuse in the fuse box under the dash on the passenger side or the button not making the right connection

this has been discussed here quite frequently, 99 % your problem for the lights and wiper are due to breaking wires or shorted wires Thur the upper left rubber grommet located in the lift gate, check the forum or you can also Google on you tube to see this problem

have your journey scanned for codes to see what is happening, also you can re-calibrate your compass the direction are in your book that might help good luck and please report back on what you find out to be your problem

first which engine? 3.6 easy to change, 2.4 a little more complicated as their are 2 thermostats from what I read, also make sure you use the proper coolant as well,,check your manual that came with the journey.might want to try a flush on the heater core while you are in the process.good luck and please report back on what ever that fixes your problem...also show her how to look in the info area under the eng info to see how high the temperature of the engine is getting up to should be around 199 - 205 depending on outside temp and how the vehicle is being driven

you can also scan yourself using the on/off button 3 times for simple codes but that probally wont work for this problem check out you tube for that video on how to do it

You need to have the vehicle scanned with a good scanner usually the ones the part stores has will not scan for the abs codes, with the abs /traction control lights on the cruise control will not work, I don't have AWD but I did have the traction control light and the ABS light and the brake light come on and had it scanned and the code came up 2201-c which ended up being an internal failure of the ABS electrical unit which had to be replaced however mine did NOT put my vehicle into limp mode, Google your problem or strat checking out you tube with your symptoms to see what comes up but as I said you need to have it scanned with a quality scanners that has the capability of the ABS and other service options ,,good luck and report back on what you find to be your problem/solution..and WELCOME to the group?
