  1. go det an OEM switch i would guess, did the replacement look identical to the old part?
  2. after your first post i googled it and seen what you are talking about the coolant filter ,and yes that would be a big help i would assume, BUT flush of the coolant thur the engine and or heater core would be the first thing i would do before changing out the next heater core,,, but the filter looks like it might be a good choice for you,,,please report back on what you end of doing.....AND by the way welcome to the group as well
  3. have never heard of a coolant filter, that said since you have done so many heater cores replacement have any reverse flashes done before the change? so what is the 3.6 jeep guys do with a coolant filter?
  4. i wouldn't buy any AWD vehicle, there is just to much potential problems and expense along with the maintenance as well..... and even tho i live in al and we only get a short winter of ice and snow, i grew up in Mi and somehow survived the long winters with just rear wheel drive... with FWD i can drive just about anywhere with ice and snow just as well as AWD
  5. you need to check out our forum under Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc. and this has been discussed quite a bit with lots of good info on what needs to be done as well, also youtube would be a great place for info as well..........also welcome to the group

  7. probally the 2.4 eng , and to be honest lauriezi63 you need to find a different mechanic other than pep boys as i have know 3 different people i know that use them and they all had bad repair luck when using them...other than that without knowing which eng and part you are talking about it is hard to answer correctly

  9. i dont believe the add on wireless camera will work with the 8.4 screen, even with the oem camera you would still have to have the dealership add the sale code to the journeys computer to make it work
  10. well on 25 yr old cars sometimes replacement parts can be difficult to find, as of now my 2014 journey is drivable but i am waiting on an ABS module for my journey it has been on backorder for about 1.5 yr as of now thur the dealership, and to be honest ITS not just dodge its all Manufactures that are having this parts problem

  12. did you check the wiring real good at the upper hatch in the rubber boot that wiring is really easy to break or short out there,,,,just a thought......Welcome to the group
  13. the blend doors will reset after the engine is shut off takes about 20-40 seconds the sound comes from under the glove box, if you have the rear air as well i am sure there are blend doors back there as well will sound like a dull clicking noise, other than that might be something under the car but if you are not moving and also when shut off that shouldn't be the case.....Welcome to the group and please report back on what you find out to be your problem
  14. Just got a letter from chrysler waning me to send them my info if i wanted to get rid of my lifetime warranty on my 2014 crossroad that they would give me a $5000 rebate on certain vehicles if i acted quick and take delivery in the next few months, no mention if it was on top of other rebates they are offering or if it could be used with my employee discount that i get as well,,,, just deposited it into the round file cabinet,
  15. mine did this occasionally when i first bought it,but hasn't done it for yrs.... you have different ( 3 ) blend doors and one of them is stuck or quit working,,, this has been discussed quite a bit look under forum and then click interior to read about it also many videos can be found on youtube on locations and how to fix them, it has been mentioned to buy oem blend door replacement yes more costly but better made ........Welcome to the group as well
  16. also you may have a water leak coming into the journey from the front body seams, this was discussed in the forum a while ago, is it leaking from the seals on BOTH sides?
  17. just an update , the ABS unit is still on backorder at the dealership, But around 3-4 weeks ago all three lights are staying off ( abs, and brake and traction control) quit coming on and the cruise is working again, I have been waiting on my stepson to bring his scanner over to see if the code (c2200-49) is stilled stored, doing the ign check just shows everything is okay..oh well will update again after he scans it and see if anything stored in the computer. oh well just another day in a dodge journey owners life....LOL
  18. I was just watching this video on a different vehicle but half way ( at 13;41 mark) thur he shows replacing the pulleys and they are to tight to get the belt on and he shows removing the bearing and threading the belt onto all the pulleys and then installing the last new pulley..... might need to try this to see if it works for you....................
  19. i would take both belts to wherever you bought them and compare it with another NEW belt, something sounds wrong as the old belt should NOT be stretched that much over what a new one is
  20. if you bought from a local part store they should have a diagram or be able to tell you which goes where ....or just goole the part number and i am sure that will show where it goes
