It appears that there are two threads active on adding auto headlights. I have added both the sensor and light switch (posted on the newer thread started by ultranutz), so Journeyman425, please do not forget about me if the sales code ever pops up again. I ask this incase you are not monitoring both threads. Thank you for all of your effort on this forum. Members like you make this all worthwhile.

Another success story here. Downloaded the updates from Chrysler for the RB5 and ordered the latest Maps which arrived 2 days later. Uploaded the software in the following order, Radio, nav unit and then maps. Works perfect! Thanks to all who figured this out.

Had the 60000-mile service done and the DJ seems to be purring like a kitten!  I just have one regret, I had replaced the cabin and engine air filters a month before the service.  Without reading the fine print, the dealership replaced them for a total cost of $90.00.  I should have had an alignment done vice the filters changed

    Hey all,
I went back to the website two weeks ago and the maps are available again.  Ordered and installed in my DJ and now works like a champ (again).

    Hi Jerry and all,
I wanted to post that I tried to order the map at the beginning of Sept but noticed they are all sold out!!!!!

But Chrysler in their apologetic way has graciously extended the offer.

PLEASE NOTE:   This product is currently out of stock. This page will be updated with an in-stock date as soon as we have more information.  Please check back soon.   The $99 promotional offer will be extended through December 31, 2019.
    Thank you

I have until Dec 31 to buy the updated map!

Agreed. Dealer will try to upsell you lots of unnecessary services. Stick to whats in the manual.

first off which eng do you have, i did my trans servicea the dealership at around 70 k and it wasn't due till around 120 k if i remember right, also at 93 k i  just had the coolant service and plugs done at the dealership as well and will redo the trans at around 140 k ,,,,on the 3.6 i dont think there is any 60 k service requirements most doesn't start till 100 k for plugs............. a lot of dealership will push most unnecessary services to early so they can make $$$$$ just check yor manual or download one off the internet for free and it will show what is required and when it is do.

go with dodge if you want oem and no hassles or problems will cost a little more but more quality parts used than off brand units.. the cheap comes out expensive ,most of the time.....

I have a 2015 and was very interested in doing the DIY add-on install!  LOL!  I purchased the OEM remote start on eBay.  It was $150.00  brand new, (others ran about $242. - $250.  I followed the instructions on the included CD to the point of switching the RF hub wires.  There is a big warning not to do this until the dealer loads the sales code onto your VIN before they flash your car.  I also didn't plug it in knowing it would probably not read the fobik's and the car would not start.

I made an appt at the local dealership to flash my computer with the XBM code for a remote starter.  They wanted to charge a few hours of labor to install the system and another hour to flash it.  A total of three hours. I was able to have them flash the car and switch the RF hub for an hours labor. ($150.00)  They also programmed the non-remote start fobs for no extra charge.

Basically, if you have the time with about 25-30  minutes to drop the headliner, install the antenna, drop the RF hub down for the dealer to switch it out;  then no more than 20 minutes to reinstall all the fixtures after the dealer flashes the car.  You will have a Remote start installed in your DJ!

I did notice the dealership technician was a bit confused on which code to upload.  He asked me if I had the install sheet because he wanted to load the dealer code. He mentioned that there were so many variations and he thought it was GKM or GBM.  I asked him to look up XBM. They found it and flashed the computer.  I did ask if the elusive LDK showed up for the DRL's, but they did not see it.

At the end of the visit, I now have the remote start feature and with the heat starting to kick up, the pre-chill feels very good before driving.

I have not put mine in yet, they will be in this weekend, but I have done countless led/hid installs. Always get a canbus for your led just to be safe, better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Just get the right size, and when you put the led bulb in, make sure the chips are facing left and right , not up and down. They are very bright and might need adjusting.
If you want a fool proof alternative, HID bulbs are great, but require you to have some what electrical knowledge to put them in if you are newer to cars because of the relay harness/ballists etc.

Either one will greatly enhance the light output, just dont always go to cheap, you get what you pay for!

I went with Hikari brand led bulb because they use the Philips chips. mine, with canbus, were just over $100
I also bought led fog light bulbs, but went with an ebay bulb to test out
ordered led license plate lights and reverse lights,
have a light bar coming in this week.

Hoping to install it all this weekend. Will post pics to give a better idea when they are in!

JKeateon,  Thank you for explaining that.  I ordered a low beam set with the CANbus attached on the 14, they came in on the 28 and installed them this afternoon.  Don't look into the light after they are in.  Pretty darn bright in the daylight.

I want to check them out at night to see the difference.  I did make sure the flat sides facing the sides not up and down.
