  1. you have to be careful with parts on amazon. there are a lot of cheap parts out there. rockauto is a good source for parts but i have been more and more getting parts from http://www.factorymoparparts.net lots of oem parts at a decent price . also lots of drawings to show what part you need.
  2. I would say what ever brand you are getting from Amazon is not a good brand or cheap knock off Oem part. i would press for a refund and try another source......
  3. this new site is horrible on my iPad .. most of the time I don't see replies to postings just the original post . I have to click on the post , go back to the topic list and click on the post again , sometimes it takes two times to get the replies to show up. also I see new post that are very old popping up as new . also don't get a proper time of last posting never shows hours or minutes just 1 day if it's with in the last 12 hours . hard to follow topics .....
  4. time to get a preasure test kit . pump it up and look for a leak . if you are loosing that much you should see It . pin hole leak in the radiator and end caps
  5. well finally finished major part of replacing worn out suspension parts on my 2009 journey . back struts where a major pain , wish I had taken videos but basicly yo have remove the the back inside liner and open up two access places on the inside wheel wells. bottom was not to bad but you have to do a bit of moving things around to get the struts out ... front struts where pretty easy except having to remove the plastic cowling on the windshield. bottom part super easy two bolts that hold the strut a plate holding brake line and abs sensor and sway bar link . replace front sway bar bushings and links also which where super easy . wish I had made videos car really rides like a new car (well except for the noise from the tires being cupped on the edegs) .. well worth the effort . total cost was around 250.00 letting my neighbor who works for dodge take in in over the weekend and do a four wheel alignment . one note the struts up front do not have adjust points , looks like the adjustment is on the lower control arm so I did do mess with the alignment too much but he is trading me work for the alignment so what the hey. guess I will just put up with the tire noise till I get new ones
  6. probley because it is what it is . A econo box SUV , bought mine not expecting great performance. adding boost to a high compression engine ? you do know this little 2.4 is a bullet proof engine in st stock configuration .... don't know if by adding a after market exhaust and intake would do nothing but make the car louder ... yes the 2.4 is somewhat of a dog , but mine gets me down the road ....
  7. I also find them to half the price most other places offer. fast shipping and quality parts. you can also buy the cheaper get by till you sell it parts too but they do sell high quality stuff at a fair price
  8. complete rack and piñon is available from rockauto also the pump and hoses ... see for your self rockauto.com ... input your male and model and you see under stearing all the parts you need. http://www.rockauto.com/m/mobilecatalog.php
  9. sponserd and I bet he got paid for the car ... come renting a old tank cost a bit of money and the comerical's leading up to the event made me turn it off shortly after it started playing . and it's not always the cars fault . I know a couple of people who are hard on cars , and always complain that they have yet another lemon ...
  10. popping noise while turn could be axle halfshafts , rack and pinion . tie rod ends etc. you need a another shop to inspect the front end ..
  11. look at your owners manual for max tow weight . brakes in good order ... size of boat physical matters too as wind drags will put more of a load.
  12. a tranny cooler would help . did you monitor the engine oil temp or the tranny oil temp , weight of the rv is one part but also consider how much drag a rv adds . maybe backing down a little going up hill and taking it out of over driver would make the tranny happier. I would have the tranny checked , since there is not a dipstick you can not see or smell what the tranny fluid is like .
  13. sounds like a lazy tech who just replaced all the mounts instead of taking the time to find which one was making the noise
  14. wait till you change the plugs , by far the easiest plug change you will ever do !!!!
  15. had problems when I ordered shocks on line from pep boys , good deal with their discount and free shipping but they sent the wrong shocks . shuch a hassle as I went ahead and used the local parts house to get the correct shocks and now waiting to hear back from pep boys about my refumd
  16. get code reader and it will point you to the problem .
  17. I've lost a clip before on the front brakes , it cause that pad to lock up eating the pads and rotors...
  18. wow you get that sound just pushing on the wheel....rear brake noise might be no pads left and you are metal to metal, are you sure the wheels are on tight ? could be dry ball joints or tie rod ends .. might even be sway bar links too.. going to have to take the tires off and check it out
  19. struts , strut bearing and mounts , control arm bushings ball joints could be a number of things . I would take the front tires off and have a good look at everything ..
  20. Are you downshifting at the same time ? transmission fluid ok ,
  21. their theory is traction on the rears .. my thought is I want the best tires I have on the drive axle and stearing tires.. there is not much weight on the back ...
