Is the gas station overfilling , should stop at the first click on the pump and not try to squeeze extra in the tank. Sounds like autozone wants a excuse to sell parts . Code readers can be had pretty cheap

Recalls on 2010 Journey
Dusty256 replied to Amanda D Reyes's topic in Recalls & Technical Service Bulletins
You can go to the dodge site and enter your vin and it will show all recalls and if they have been done or not . -
there is something different because when i bought the car two years ago they supposedly did a alignment a long with a lot of other things . i just figured it was a list of stuff to add valve to the sale of the car . well last december the tire's started cupping . i replaced bushings and links , all four struts and did a brake job . when i took it to goodyear for tire's and a alignment .. they put it on the rack and showed me the specs and said the alignment was spot on... wired because normally replacing strutsthe alignment should be off and no , unless there is something noticeable like uneven wear or pulling to one side the only way to tell is put it on the rack. also they should show you the specs ..

Random misfire code, crankshaft/camshaft positioning sensor code
Dusty256 replied to bell's topic in Engine & Transmission
I would order a code reader online , the are cheap. Codes and definitions can be found on line and are a big help. Remember part stores are there to sell parts . Ibwpuld clean the throttle body , it is not that hard to get to and there are videos on u tube explaining how to take it off . Fuel pump will not set a code itself and you have to check fuel pressure on the rail. I would start by cleaning the throttle body .- 17 replies

Don't turn the back positions out , only turn in the direction that pushes them in. Should be seated all the way in and then apply s a few times to get them to set close to the pads. Might be be a problem with the slide pins sticking if you did not clean and lube them. Will the parking brake hold the car .

are you replacing the boots along with coil packs ..
-
That's what the engine likes the NGK copper plugs. Strange you are going through coil packs . Are you using dielectric grease on the boots .
-
What type plugs are you running ? That little 2.4 demands "Only " the plugs that came factory , . I have problems with mine and found champions where put in it . It likes the copper plugs and they need to be changed at 30,000 miles .
-
First I have heard , I still have the original coil packs

You can get closed pulled from a auto parts store , make sure they have one that reads codes... for the amount the dealer wants you can purschase your own code reader making sure it's one that will read abs codes.

this must be a all wheel drive
-
time to hook up a scanner and see what codes are there..

Shaking starts after hitting small bump and turning
Dusty256 replied to nicklavoie's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
can't go by miles. strut can be damaged , blown seal on the damping piston or . the mount or strut bearing might be broken . just from how you describe the shaking happens after a bump and a turn tells me to at least pull the struts dismount them from the springs and inspect .. not a hard job but the best way to get a good look at the strut system. -

Worn struts will also effect stopping and sturt bearings will cause the car to pull to one side if they are having a hard time moving -

Struts , strut bearings , strut mounts . Abs sensors would throw a code . Worn struts will loose damping effect . Best bet is to take a close look at the struts .. -
