Mine are the 19" tires. Never thought the tires would were so different between sizes. Interesting!

OhareFred got a reaction from jkeaton in Radiator over heating and interior heating
Stop Leak is the worst thing in the world and should be outlawed. More than likely all you did was gubk up your heater core and still have a rad leak. BEFORE you replace/ repair the rad, have the cooling system flushed throughly. Get all that crap out, then fix the rad the correct way. Once the cooling system is repaired you can see if you still have a heating issue. Keep doing what you are doing youll have an engine issue. Good luck!

Try spraying the spring and hinge pin with some WD40 or similar product. Sometimes the pin area gets rusty and does funny things to the blade.

For our cold climate I'd recommend you spend a few extra bucks and get lithium ion 2032 batteries. I found them at Wal-mart in the electronics dept.
Aloha.

Wow. Being on this forum since 2011, I've seen a lot of posts regarding tires. Too many. Some love the kumhos some hate them. I think the kumho solus tires are a good tire. I forget how many miles I got out of mine. 40,000? Anyway, when tires wear out you get new ones. That's just how it works. Did you complain on a triathlon forum last time your nikes wore out? Doubt it. There are nike and addidas people in this world. If your nikes wear out, then get some addidas. Hope it's better.
Peace.

If you are thinking under warranty good luck. Tires are warrantied by the tire manufacturer not Dodge. My orginal Kumo tires were the worst tires Ive ever had and would rather use stone then Kumo. I got about 33,000 miles on mine before I bought a set of Michelins. Now thats a good tire.

If the fob was that cold maybe it messed with the battery? Cold battery, less power, short range on the transmitter?

OhareFred got a reaction from dhh3 in 2011 Dodge Journey Battery Issue
How can a battery be installed wrong?? Id look for a better answer than that! Batteries that are installed wrong tend to blow up......

Might try disconnecting the battery for a bit to reset everything.

I have had this happen to me two times. This is my theory on the bad cell. One cell has a bad internal connection. Trying to start the car heats up the battery. This heat is just enough to close the connection, and the car will start. I have an Electronics Degree from the Air Force: but, I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. Just ask bramfrank.

OhareFred got a reaction from dhh3 in Battery Drain
A TSB is not the same as a recall. Maybe DodgeCares care chime in and give the number. Not sure if they charge for a TSB repair, but you gotta bite the bullet and get it done. Wait to see if someone knows the TSB, then go in to the dealer and say you need TSB number xxx done. You might have to pay, but it might fix the issue.
With all the electronics I always buy an extended warranty, not sure if you can still get one......

OhareFred reacted to LKMS in P2017 Cleared but still shows
This may help someone so I'm just posting this here for future reference.
There are many others Chrysler Vehicles that have this problem; Caliber, Avenger, Patriot, etc.
After getting this code and doing my research I decided to tackle the problem myself. I picked up some rust remover spray as opposed to wd-40. I took off the intake manifold runner control valve to see that the springloaded solenoid gets stuck when you twist it. The actual manifold flaps itself are fine as I can twist them open and closed (about 30 degrees I can twist them). I removed the runner control valve and started spraying it inside to get the solenoid to move. Took about 1.5 hours as I let soak, resprayed, vaccumed it out and kept twisting until it was free to move. I put everything back together and put the key into the ignition and left it at 'on'. Pulled out my bluetooth obd reader and cleared the code. I did this on Dec 12 and so far no light even after the system was in testing mode and completed. Hopefully this will help someone out.

OhareFred reacted to Woah322 in New safety recall recieved in mail yesterday
I already threw the card out, didn't realize I should have mailed it back. I didn't mean to to be funny towards the new owner, meant it more like that I thought it was funny that I didn't get the recall on my current vehicle only one I sold.

OhareFred reacted to dhh3 in New safety recall recieved in mail yesterday
There is a card on the notification letter that you need to fill in, and mail back to FCA as you no longer own the vehicle. FCA can then send the new owner the recall. I do not think that the possibility of losing one's ABS deserves an LOL.

OhareFred reacted to bramfrank in Rear Screen Not Working & DVD Stops after 15 Minutes...
After you get it fixed and if you plan to keep your vehicle, you might want to consider buying a factory (not third party) extended warranty. This sort of thing gets very expensive, very quickly. You need to buy it while the vehicle is under the original bumper-to-bumper warranty.

OhareFred reacted to redtomatoman in allow myself to introduce myself
Get the extended warranty. There's too many proprietary electronic gizwidgets to fail. They work great until they don't. Then they're expensive.
Peace.

I have not but there is a TSB for exactly that issue, but im not sure what years (didnt apply to 09). It has been discussed many many times here. Mayby try a search, or perhaps someone else will chime in.....
