  1. Think of the FOB as a transmitter. The receiver (WIN Module?) has to be bad because it is not receiving the signal from either FOB.
  2. I removed my resonator. Slightly throatier noise outside; no noticeable noise inside.
  3. It is noted in your Service Record, so it should be fixed for free: warranty or not.
  4. WIX is owned by Dana. I used to print price lists for Spicer, Perfect Circle, Weatherhead, and Wix. We would change the Logo from Dana to NAPA. Some of the prices were the same; some would increase or decrease a little.
  5. Yes. I bought this vehicle way too fast because of the color. I didn't ask enough questions, nor did I do any investigating before I said that I would take it. My fault. Will not do this again.
  6. I agree. Go for the loaner. My Dealers does this for me.
  7. Just for kicks and giggles, I use whatever my Dealer installs.
  8. The CS @ Uconnect absolutely sucks. I will never call them again. Periodically, I go online and check for updates on the Dodge site, using my VIN. I have given up trying to do the updates myself, so I just bring my DJ into my Dealer and they do the updates for free. I have only learned 1 thing from Uconnect CS: Art MUST be a JPEG! That's it. I'm torn. I hate this friggin' radio; so much so that I want to get rid of the car. Don't get me wrong; I love my DJ. Just hate the radio. I'm hoping that the new radios with Apple Play will be retroactively compatible when they come out. Otherwise, I'll just purchase a new Jeep! If these idiot engineers had a clue, they would ditch the SD card and bring back the HD.
  9. Did you pick up the seafoam at the beach?
  10. Welcome to the forum. Awesome RV. I have never seen one like this.
  11. Were your"s hub centric? If not, the spacer can actually rotate around the hub and break a stud. Cody bought hub centric, so he should be fine IMHO.
  12. I was going to mention wheel bearings, but you are on it! In the past I've used spacers on three different vehicles. If you follow these steps, you will have NO issues with the spacers. Use red LocTite on the nuts that go on your hubs. Torque them as you would if it were a wheel you are mounting. Drive 100 miles. Remove wheels, and retorque all the spacers. If one nut is loose, remove the spacer, and start all over again with the red LocTite. I do like the red pinstripes on your hood-to-fender stripes!
  13. It will probably not materialize until the replacement comes out. Sir Sergio is full of s**t. The factory in Belvedere, IL produced 3 vehicles: Jeep Compass, Patriot, and Dodge Caliber. He wants to produce Jeep Cherokees there. Since the Cherokee, Dart, and 200 all share the same innards, why not just build all three there? He says that he is not going to build any new factories, so he is going to stop producing the Dart and 200, unless he can get them outsourced. I know of one factory that is empty, near Detroit, that used to produce Mercurys and Lincolns. He could use that. The new DJ is to be built in Detroit where the 200 is built. So, I have no idea what is going on in his head. He wants to build a new replacement for the Compass/Patriot. So, there will be three small Jeeps: Cherokee, Compass/Patriot replacement and Renegade. The Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer. Plus, the Wrangler and a Wrangler based truck. How many Jeeps until the market is saturated?
  14. Not sure what you are trying to do, but the whole vehicle runs on the CanBus system; the only difference being whether it is the High Speed System, or the Low Speed System. My Nitro was High Speed. I have no idea what the DJ uses. This is why item's Sales Codes added have to be added to the build list so that they can be activated. Nothing is simple anymore.
  15. The factory white alignments marks for my tailgate are finally gone after two years of going through the car wash! Every once in a while mine will do something weird, but the incident is never duplicated so I just chalk it off to an electronic hiccup!
  16. Happy to hear that your Dealer agreed with you. Hope that they take care of you with no issues.
  17. Almost too much HP. I can spin my front tires at every stoplight!
  18. So, is 2011 the first year that the DJ got the 3.6?
  19. OP said 3.6! Just trying to help him out. I have no idea when the other V6 engines in production were being phased out; all replaced by the 3.6 Pentastar. In 2011, both the 3.7 and 4.0 (based on 3.5) were still being offered in the Nitro. There was no 2012 Nitro, but the 2011 Production Year ran through December 2011 to use up all the remaining parts!
  20. Add tires with thicker sidewalls. I have seen a set of rubber/plastic inserts that fit in the arches like a lot of crossovers have from the factory. Problem is that they come from China. Since I have the Mopar mud flaps, I'd probably have to cut them to fit. So, I'll pass.
  21. Yours may fall under the recall for one of the cylinder head replacements. I have read about this on the forum, but the problem had been fixed by 2014.
  22. So, what you are saying is what I am saying: only one phone can send and receive calls via Uconnect (connected through BT) at a time: set for priority. I have never tried a second phone connected via BT for music streaming: just my daughter's phone through the AUX to listen to her Pandora. Please take a picture so I can see what you are referring to.
  23. Its a piece of metal that keeps constant electrical contact for all the switches on the steering wheel as the wheel is turned. I have a steering wheel puller in my tool box when I used to be able to swap out my steering wheel for a custom or wood one. The way things are made today, I'm not sure if it is still usable!
