  1. Clock spring, if it takes that much banging of the wheel!
  2. Rain-X does exactly the same thing, and it is a lot easier to use. Squirt it on; wipe it off. Any streaks will disappear during the first rain! It fills in all the minute pores in the glass, and the rain just runs up the windshield. No need for wipers. I do this at least 2x a year.
  3. It also comes in handy when camping! Kelley Blue Book lists both the DJ and the Caravan in their top 10 picks for 2016.
  4. I found a single USB at Best Buy that just plugs into the power port. I'm sure they sell a dual one too.
  5. Welcome and enjoy your ride. Consumer Reports doesn't! LOL
  6. No leaks for me. Sitting at around 13,000 miles in two years.
  7. If the inside edge of the 4 cylinder muffler is like my 2 V6 mufflers, it is curved to fit around the spare tire; so, you may have trouble finding a quiet replacement because of the lack of space. The Dealer had to drop my mufflers to install my hitch, so there is not much room under there to work with.
  8. I keep the fob in my "folding ruler" pocket of my carpenter jeans/shorts. I have always locked the door with the black button on the door handle. In two years of doing this, the horn has never beeped 3X!
  9. I guess having these on or off is subjective. I like them on mine because of the color of my car; they are an extension of the tinted widows.
  10. I decided against these, based on the inferior performance I experienced with my Nitro. Maybe using different bulbs would have helped. I ordered a set of 9005 and 9006 Sylvania zXe bulbs. I found them on eBay for $32 a pair. They were over $50 per pair at O'Reilly's Auto Parts.
  11. Blacktops seem to look good in any color, but this one stands out.
  12. Not one of these posts lists whether it is the the 4 or 6 cylinder. If these were all the same engine, it would seem that there might be a recall in order.
  13. The link does not work to see the damage, but at least you are all right. Did the truck stop?
  14. You just pull off the broken pieces. The glass is glued to the 4 way actuator.
  15. Metra. That is the name I forgot. You are well on your way. Crutchfield would be of great help to you. Tell them what you have and what you want to do and they take care of the rest!
  16. bramfrank, do you know what the difference is between the std and optional anit-theft system? I have the round red indicator on my dash that comes on when I start the car, but it does not blink when I lock the doors.
  17. Since a iPhone can't be opened, I guess I'll never know if the dot turned red!
  18. I have std anti-theft system. When I lock it with the little black button on the door handle, the horn sounds once.. I believe 3 beeps indicates that the key FOB is still in the car. In the two years that I have owned my DJ, I have never locked it with the lock switch on the arm rest.
  19. No problems with the phone on 90% humidity days here, but a good point that I never considered.
  20. I would take it apart again. The circuit board can be popped off. Rinse the battery, circuit board, FOB and key in RO water, or a bottle of mineral water (read the label for ingredients and dry everything with a hair dryer. You want to remove all traces of salt.
  21. I purchased my 2014 new in June of 2014. I have the 8.4 screen. If I could cut a square hole in the screen and slide in a 30GiG MyGig I would be the happiest camper alive! If I may say so, you are beautiful!
