  1. 2late4u, I'm thinking it is the camber also based on research I have done. Where would you get the parts and have them put in, at the dealership? It's just annoying that tires with a 100k mile warranty (yes, I know, that doesn't mean anything) dont even last 50k with this issue. I have had alignments done, but not sure if they ever adjust the camber (if they even can). Thanks.
  2. Good Morning All, I wanted to ask for some advice or see if anyone else has seen this issue. I'm going to need to replace my second set of tires soon on my 2015 SXT and I'm at 81k miles. The odd thing is that the tires all wear unevenly. The outermost treads are nearly bald, while the innermost treads on all the tires are wearing normally. I keep the tires at the right pressure, and rotate them every other oil change, keep the wheels aligned, but they still wear like this. Has anyone else seen this on their Journey? Can anyone make any recommendations for tires that are quality but won't break the bank? Thanks, Joe
  3. Good Afternoon All, I have a minor body issue with my 2015 Journey. I pulled in the garage and opened my driver's door and felt the door hit something and not open all the way. Long story short, my kids put their scooters along the garage wall and one of the handlebars was sticking out. The rubber coated edge hit the door and dinged it. Frankly, it looks like a small <1 inch dimple with no paint damage, but it is noticeable when looking at it (looks like a minor light distortion). I can get a picture and upload later today. What I want to know is... 1. What techniques have anyone used with success to remove this yourself? 2. Are any of these tools/kits I found online useful to fix something like this? 3. Would the method of heating (with a hairdryer) and cooling with an air can work on something like this? I'd like to do this myself and not take it to a shop (if I can avoid it). Thanks again for your help in advance. Joe
  4. So my problem with waiting till the holiday is that I am going out of town next thursday through the end of the month....and i need to get my inspection sticker done by next wednesday...my current tires will fail the inspection.
  5. Any other suggestions from you all would be greatly appreciated. You guys/gals are more knowledgeable than the pros! Love this site!!! Thanks again, Joe
  6. Thanks for the advice. I've been calling around all over...apparently, tires have gone up in the past 3 years since I bought them. Anything halfway decent is easily >$500 to install. And no one has any decent promos (even the buy 3 get 1 and buy 2 get 2 promos have required installation packages that add back the "free" tire(s) price and then some (by a lot). Seems like my local guy (with tax) has better prices than other places. The only thing I found that was right at the $500 installed price point were Sumitomo Enhance L/X. Only problem is they got 5/10 in snow performance...in New England, that's not great. Oh well...time to sell a kidney.
  7. Also, Hercules Touring tire is only 70k warranty, not 85k. Thanks,
  8. Good Morning All, I could use some advice on new tires for my 2015 Journey SXT. At 38k miles, the Kumho Solus KH16's it came with will not pass inspection this month. Size is 225/60/17. I have gotten advice on some options and was wondering if they are good tires for the price, or if there are better options out there. Please see the attached spreadsheet for specs. Tires Post Data.xlsx I am leaning toward either the Hercules Cross-V or the Toyo Open Country. Are these good tires for the money, or are there better options out there? Thanks, Joe Tires Post Data.xlsx
  9. I'm considering adding a remote starter to my 2015 Journey. Do you all suggest getting the OEM starter from Mopar and putting it in? How hard is this? Does it come with any new FOBs or do I need to purchase those as well? Thanks, Joe
  10. bramfrank - I'd be interested to know what this update actually does also before I install it. Thanks. Joe
  11. I have the 3.6 engine. Purolator only makes a classic model for my car. Was considering WIX or NAPA GOLD (might be the same). So confusing...
  12. I do have the 3.6. Wish I could get a Pourolator PureOne for it, but they don't make them. sigh
  13. Hi All, I just got off the phone with UConnect and I am thoroughly ticked. Back in November, I got my 2015 Journey and updated the software with the 15.09 version (released July 2015). I was told at the time that there was another version coming out for my vehicle that would fix the ipod fading thing and some stuff with the library import. Fast forward to today, when I searched for an update...nothing. I called again and was told....wait until late summer. When I asked if late summer meant end of August or September...I was told just keep checking the site. Will there ever be an update to the software for non-model year cars? Thanks, Joe
