  1. Not sure what the app is. Disconnect the neg terminal on the battery for 30 minutes to reset everything. See if that works. It could be that any recalls did not apply to your specific DJ. Not sure.

There are people on this forum that are quite helpful. Give more info. Has the dealer given a diagnosis? What other symptoms are you having? Does any sound work?

    Peace.

    Probably meant to say amp.

  2. It should be REALLY simple to find out. Start by looking at the window sticker, as suggested. But if you don't have access to it (and even if you do, sometimes dealer will generate them locally, so that may not be 'real'), just check out the vehicle for the features that the 'plus' adds to the vehicle:

    1. Front passenger seat doesn't fold flat? Not a plus

    2. Cloth seats? Not a plus

    3. Manual adjust driver's seat (as opposed to power)? Not a plus

    4. If the seat cushion of the front passenger seat doesn't open for hidden storage you don't have a plus

    5. If you don't have the convex interior observation mirror that drops out of the ceiling console . . . you don't have a plus

    6. 4.3 inch display? Not a plus

If you have ANY of the above, you do not have a plus.

You have to wonder at a dealer that doesn't know what he has sold you. You have to wonder more, at the fact that he admits to this. Would he take back the vehicle and replace it with what you DID buy?

Does this Plus list hold true with the SXT Plus?? Only thing on the list that I don't have is leather and mine is a Plus...

  3. One thing I don't like about ebay feedback. The seller could have sold 5 million items, 1%, that's 5000 unhappy customers....I prefer amazon where you can get actual, in-depth customer feedback. Ebay lets you add like 100 characters....lol. Just my two cents. Plus, I'm so used to ordering from Amazon and having it on my doorstep within 2 days. I bought a set of taillights for my truck on ebay on Nov. 4, expected delivery Nov. 12. Call me impatient..... :hyper:

True, but Amazon is full of BS reviews. In fact, I think there is some legal stuff going on around that right now... I also use amazon because you can't beat free 2 day shipping and if there is ever ANY issue, they are beyond amazing to work with.

  4. Please post a pic and such of this!!

I assume there was a location already for an 8" if you had the upgraded system

I do not have the factory "upgraded" stereo, but even so, I don't think there is enough room for a proper installation for an 8" behind the side paneling (where the stock "sub" is located. I placed a 10" in the floor inside the storage unit mentioned above. Of course after removing the interior in back to run wires, I think I will redo the box to gain a little more airspace and mount the sub so it is flush with the floor (right now it is top mounted) and possibly move the amp to the same location.

I don't have any pics of the process and it is a pain to get the box out, so all I can show you for pictures is a speaker grill coming out of the floor... I did a basic fiberglass box by laying fiberglass inside the storage compartment and mating a sheet of MDF across the top. Painted the MDF black to match the interior and threw my cargo mat over the top (with a hole cut in it for the speaker to protrude)...

  5. They do just pop out - you use a trim tool (a plastic pry tool) to get them out. You will find directions in the backup camera installation manual, which is posted here:

    http://starparts.chrysler.com/info/default/K6861161.pdf

Please follow this advice and spend a couple bucks on the trim panel tool. It is very easy to damage these parts prying on them with a screwdriver and they aren't cheap to replace...

  6. this is a common enough problem for the local dealer to carry 2 in stock...and they don't even carry wipers for the rear in stock.

This is a common issue in most modern cars. With emissions standards what they are, all vehicles run hotter than in the past. With the ambient heat from the engine and the heat from the coolant, combined with a large number of heating and cooling cycles over time, even the most robust plastics will give way eventually.

  7. So far my 2015 Journey EVIC has indicated Oil Change at 3500 miles every time. I don't mean around 3500 miles, I mean EXACTLY 3500 miles. It seems that it always occurrs early on a trip, then annoys me every time I start the engine. I read that the PCM used a "magic" algorithm to calculate when oil should be changed. I don't believe it as no matter the type of driving I do, it still comes on at 3500 miles.

So mechanic what is happening? (the Owner's manual indicates the interval could be as long as 8000 miles). My old '67 VW had 3000 mile changes with straight weight oil. Untfortunately the valve clearance had to be adjusted every other oil change (about 6000 miles) I would expect a modern engine to go 5000 miles before needing an oil change.

BTW, on the last trip when it came on I decided to "reset" it and put in my log book the expected odometer reading for 5000 miles. I then changed the oil at 5001 miles, reset the oil change again.

I think that 5000 miles is good enough and a good time for an oil change and tire rotation.

Mine has been a couple of different intervals, but lately it is every 10,000 miles. Maybe you are just a really aggressive driver? Regardless, mine usually goes off at the max interval (well, 500 miles before the max interval).
