Nice set up. How's it tow the little pop trailer? I would presume pretty easily with the 3.6L.

Serpentine belt. The rubber can trap moisture, freeze then when you start it squeals for the first couple of revolutions. May also be loose - may need tightened. You can also buy a belt dressing that will lubricate the belt but I would check the tightness first. Cheers.

I've searched as well and this or dealer are about the only options right now. I remember reading somewhere about a guy who trimmed down the H10 and he was able to make it fit? Not sure if possible or not.
I'm also on the lookout for maybe an LED replacement. I'll update the forum if I find anything.

Welcome to the forum. This is our first Dodge as well - Our GM loyality has came to an end.
I have to agree with Redman - new is the way to go but once you start adding packages, that $21,300 can quickly become $30,000+++ so...
    Option #3
Understanding that you would like to keep payments to a minimum, your option #3 sounds like the way to go. You get everything the RT offers (Rims, Leather, Heated Seats, etc) just add the sunroof.
Adding the 8.4 with Nav to a used DJ will run you upwards of $1500.00 installed. Adding a sunroof can run from $400.00 (cheap) up to $1500.00 for one that will operate like factory installed. Adding the backup camera will run around $800.00 installed. Lots to think about eh?
    Good luck.

Hey all. I use an Android app on my S3 called Torque Pro. It is an app that runs with a Bluetooth adapter (available off eBay for $30) and provides over 100 points of ECU data from speed & rpm's to intake air temp & 0 to 60 time. It can also read codes and clear codes. You can take video with multiple parameter gauges imposed on the screen.
Just wondering if anyone else uses this. I will post a 0 to 60 video in the next couple of days. So far, a 7.6 is what I have run - direct from the OBD - not GPS speed.
Anyway, great little app to have - if your a "data" person.

This won't work. Engine hours are by the hour - not minutes. Could be 3 minutes after or maybe 58 minutes after the hour - not accurate. Use your GPS.

They actually look really good. Are they heavy & solid or light & tinny and is there a manufacturer name on them anywhere?

I saw this on-line and am thinking about getting it and having the dealer install. Anybody have any thoughts or recommendations. Has all the inputs to run our PS3 on the long trips to Florida we take every year. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

Great "How To's". Ours came with the rear back up camera and sensors and I just installed a WeatherTech hood deflector this morning. I drilled pilot holes for the 2 screws (one on each side) and the middle uses double sided tape which to get to stick really good - clean the area with rubbing alcohol then once you tighten down the screws, push up in the middle and bam - done. I let it idle for 10 minutes to generate some heat as I installed it just above freezing. Stuck good now but the screws do most of the work. Cheers.

Attention to The Dodge Journey Forum Moderators...
Could we please get a "How To" section for The Dodge Journey Forum? I think that this would be a valuable tool to this forum. Maybe a couple of the most requested "How To's" could be stickied such as an Engiine Oil Change for example.
Being a past and current member of many other automotive forums, they all have a "How To" section. Here on The Dodge Journey Forum, videos, pictures and written details could walk anyone through a specific "how to" for their Dodge Journey.
I know that there are currenlty how to's scattered all over this forum but to get them all in one place would be a huge benefit. For example, I just completed a DIY oil change and learned a lot as it was my first DIY change on our Journey. I would be willing to contribute to this new section as I am sure many other members would be whether it is a simple oil change or how to build an intake system or how to change the rear wiper or how to change a fog light bulb. The list of "How To's" goes on and on and on.
Thank you and I hope that you will take this request into consideration and if fellow members feel it would be an asset to the forum - speak up and reply to this thread with your support.
    Cheers,
    Rob

And if I may add... rotate every 10,000km's as this will ensure even wear. My neighbor has an 11' DJ and was bitching about the front tires being bald. Looking at the rears, you could tell the tires had never been rotated and the front of a DJ carries a lot of weight over the front tires so rotate religiously every 10,000km's and they will last just like any other tire.

Rubberdude88 got a reaction from jamie1lee in Manual "wobbly" Hood Support ... WTF!!!
    Hello all,
We have had our new 2012 DJ SXT for 3 weeks now. Loving it by the way. Would like to ask for some advice and/or input on the following.
I have had the hood up a couple of times and am not impressed by the hood support rod. Not sure about other model years but on our 2012 with the Pentastar V6 we have a cheap hood support rod. I want to convert this to strut(s) if possible.
Are they available for the DJ?
    What size strut?
    One or two?
Is there mounting support already there?
So far this is the only thing that is bugging me. I have read they may have changed due to wind, price or strut failure - whatever the reason, it sucks.
Any part #'s or advice on the correct size of strut to purchase would be very much appreciated.
    .
    Thanks in advance,
    LRD

Welcome... I've only been a Journey owner for less than 2 weeks but this forum is great. Good people, lots of information and easy to ask if you don't know. Have not heard of too many issues or the one you speak of but I'm sure if you look around, you'll find some info.
    Cheers
