  1. I did not now this. Are talking about the TPMS sensors? Does that cruise control use TPMS for speed measurement? I thought they were just PSI.

That's lame, didn't realize the SE models didn't have automatic headlights. You would think that would be a standard 'safety' feature across all models.
  3. You forgot "makes loud sounds with windows open", "have to push defrost button twice", and "uses gas when I push the accelerator". :0
  4. The fuse is the first thing I would check (and easiest). On the passenger side under the glovebox. It's kind of hidden/tucked up in there. The fuel gauge is a very common problem accross most DJ's. There is a TSB to replace the fuel pump module...covered under warranty. But it didn't help mine at all; it's 7/8 fuel 99% of the times I fill it up. I can only recall 2 times were it filled up to full after 80k miles! It's silly, but you get over it quickly. I don't know of anybody that had the TSB done and had the fuel gauge corrected after that. Seems like it's not a good fix.
  5. Does this front axle retorqueing apply to both FWD and AWD DJ's? Anytime I start accelorating I get that slight clunk (more of a knock sound). Happens just once each time I drive it. I thought it was something electrical...
  6. I say again, where is the dang rant/soapbox section??? It should be up top, the very first subforum!
  7. Ignore what the dealer says. Follow the manual and you are just fine. Dodge published the manual oil change timelines along side with the warranty they provide. They would not give you a 100k mile powertrain warranty if they thought 8k or 10k mile oil change intervals was unsafe.
  8. I don't think there's that bad of scatter at all with the DJ stock light housing (not nearly as bad as some other cars I've seen). Many people on here have said they are impressed with the DJ HID cutoff with stock housings. I've driven in front with my wife driving the DJ following me home many a times. Lights aren't annoying at all...looks the same as any other HID setup out there in my opinion. It is not a hazard or blinding to other people. Don't get me wrong, I would like to fit some projectors in there, but not everybody has several hundred bucks laying around or the time/knowledge to do the retrofit. I would always recommend people to put HID's in the stock DJ housings. You can't go wrong for $50!
  9. The oem 19" wheel/tire recommendation is 36 psi from the factory. I keep mine at 38 psi cold usually. Still perfectly even wear and hopefully I can a few mpg's in the long run.
  10. Count yourself lucky if you haven't had any problems on your 2011! Our 2012 rotors were warped easily within the first few months of owning it. I just put on my own set of callahan brand (cheapo I know), and it's done steller for 40k miles now! The oem stuff is crap.
  11. The FWD 3.6L DJ weighs just over 4000 lbs empty, not 5500.
  12. Do you have to modify the 3157 to fit in the 3757 bulb socket? I think I heard on here you have to wire in the resister to stop them from hyper flashing...which sucks.
  13. I'm wondering since you can't find a 3757AK bulb. All I see is 3157...and it sounds like they'll fit with a little modification.
  14. I had to ask the obvious after you said you tried sticking the key in the cigeratte lighter sockets to try to start it. LMFAO!!!
  15. I don't know, I live in the Mojave desert which is extreme heat too. My Kumho's lasted a little over 40k miles.
  16. Where did you get them and how much were they?
  17. Can't believe no one has asked the obvious yet...are you sure you're pushing down on the brake pedal when trying to start? If not, it'll just cycle the car to accessory, then power on, then off with each button push.
  18. For the coolant it doesn't say anything about checking the coolant at 80k miles. It says change at 80k and 104k miles. Just doesn't make any sense. And it just can't be right to wait until 120k miles for a transmission flush. That's a long time for the original fluid! I'll probably start checking with the dealer to see if they have any deals on the transmission flush or change. The coolant I will do myself, but I'll probably wait until 104k miles since the fluid is only 3 years old. I hate taking my vehicle to get serviced, but I don't exactly have the equipment to do a transmission flush myself!
  19. So my 2012 3.6L DJ is almost 3 years old, and just rolled 80k miles. These are 90% highway miles, we don't drive it offroad or in extreme conditions; and tow very rarely. But we do live in the desert, where it reaches 105-110deg F a couple months out of the year. I'm thinking it's about time to start thinking about replacing the coolant, transmission fluid, and spark plugs. But the manual is very confusing for coolant and transmission flush. For the transmission it is checked in the maintenance log at the 64k mile mark and says: "Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter(s) if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, or frequent trailer towing." And then at the 120k mile mark it says this: "Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter(s)." So do I ignore the 64k mile maintenance and not change the transmission fluid until 120k miles? For coolant it is checked in the maintenance log at the 80k and 104k mile mark, yet it says this: "Flush and replace the engine coolant at 60 months or 104,000 miles (169 000 km) whichever comes first." So what do I do? Replace it at 80k miles or 104k miles? Very confusing... Then for spark plugs it's clearly written to replace at 96k miles...so I'll do that then. What do you all think for transmission and coolant? Should I flush out the transmission, or just change it and the filter? Thanks!
  20. Congrats on the purchase! I just can't get over the wierd look of the new Jeep Cherokees. Just one man's opinion though!
  21. Definitely don't let them charge you for it again. They just "fixed" it and should back up the work they did. They screwed something up. I would fight it like all hell if they tried charging me again 7k miles later!
  22. I like the fender accents you put on there. How did you do that? Link to product?
  23. Dang, poor canadians pay alot more than us in the states! Got my 2012 Crew for $25k before taxes a couple years back.
  24. Even at that price I wouldn't bite personally. I'm a strictler for doing my own maintenance. I don't like other people messing with my car. I like to know exactly what goes into my engine. Plus I enjoy working on my vehicles. But that's just me .
