  1. Yeah, same here. Even though my gauge never goes above 7/8 full...I will get the fuel light with about 40-50 miles remaining. Then fill up 17-18 gallons or so. So the whole tank is being used...it's just a stupid gauge issue. I've ran for about 30 miles after the fuel light came on to see how far I could push it. I filled up 19.5 gallons after that...so only had 1 gallon to go.
  2. Couldn't agree more, google maps for life, yo! Instead of a windshield mount, have you tried the little cubby hole under the display screen? If you have the 4.3" screen that is...you just flip the little cubby liner around and bam, a free little stand that fits a big smart phone horizontally perfect!
  3. Oh that makes more sense. I was thinking 4 bolts total, not 4 bolts per seat. Thanks
  4. What the hell does onboard and outboard mean? Left, right? Not all of us were raised on a ship.
  5. It's easy to do yourself. Just crank the AC on full blast. Then spray Lysol or whatever dissenfectant into the air intake duct for 5-10 seconds on the bottom of the front windshield. I try to do that every few months.
  6. So it sounds like it only happens when you park the vehicle for long amounts of time? If so, there must be some slow drain on the battery. Something is active in the vehicle slowly draining it.
  7. Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it? It's like watching one of your babies grow up. They grow so fast!
  8. Seems like to do any maintenance on these transverse mounted engines you have to pull the intake manifold off...
  9. I would have raised hell with them. It is indeed a heat shield from the exhaust. A melted spare tire from the exhaust doesn't really do any good when you need it . Go back and make them put that crap back on! There should be a heat shield on both sides of the spare tire (if you have the V6 dual exhaust).
  10. I wouldn't consider the tie rod clunk to be unsafe in any manner. I have a very slight clunk when going over speedbumps. Have had it for probably 50k miles or so. It's so slight that I have to have the windows open to hear it. I don't want to deal with dealer visits just over a noise. It isn't hurting anything on the vehicle. But, I guess I'm not as picky as other people.
  11. Very in depth read from a blog post: http://carbuying.jalopnik.com/did-you-know-dodge-still-makes-the-journey-1700426929/+travis Serious, WTF?
  12. I would be worried about cleaning it too often. If it's as fragile as a MAF sensor that is. You even look at a MAF sensor wrong and they break on you...
  13. Nightshades, nice shade, bite shade...Lol you people. NITESHADE's damnit! And it's not irreversable. I've done it on several vehicles in the past. Just use paint remover or something similar to take it off if you don't like it. I've screwed up a set before and had to wash it off with paint thinner and start again.
  14. Last time I checked, I don't think those are replacable bulbs. They are hardwired LED circuits. So you'd have to do a custom job to replace them. I wanted to get some brighter ones for my vehicle, but it looked much too involved...
  15. Good first post man! Looks good for 1/3 the cost!
  16. I bought these tires 1.5 years ago when my 2012 FWD DJ was at 40k miles. Just replaced the Yoko's (they were almost completely bald) with Cooper CS5 tires at 86k miles. So I got 46k miles out of the Yoko's with ~90% highway driving in the desert. I expected more considering the 580 treadwear and 60k mile warranty. I can't do a prorated warranty claim since I rotate my own tires. If you have record of a shop doing rotations then you could make a claim. Anyways, the tires were excellent performers for the vehicle; world's better than the stock Kuhmo's. The grip was very good in wet or dry (only saw snow once and did just fine). Never felt unsafe. They were insanely quiet tires, never got loud, even down to the very end of life. They provided a very good, comfortable ride. Towards the end the ride got a bit bumpier and not as kooshy, but that's expected. I had them mounted and balanced the first initial time, and never had to get them balanced again. They tracked straight and were never out of balance (even with the crappy California roads/potholes). I would definitely buy them again, but just consider them more of a 500 treadwear tire. I went with the Cooper CS5's due to the excellent reviews, 620 treadwear rating, and I got a great deal on them from Discount Tire, $530! I would have gotten the Yoko's if they were around that price range. Excellent tires! Just hope the Cooper's hold up to the same!
  17. Nice, way to be! Way to stick to your guns; that's great that they'll be covering it. Gauranteed it'll sound much better than the pathetic stock subwoofer in the back.
  18. The front one under the radio is only powered with ignition ON. The other plugs in the center console and backseat are always hot...if you leave it plugged in to those, it could definitely drain the battery.
  19. I'm very surprised your oil pressure was this high on a warmed up engine. Mine was always in the 30-40's while cruising at highway speed. Yes, it'll be in the 70-80's for the first 10 minutes of driving or so, until it drops in half.
  20. I'm going to change the oil and filter tonight first, then clear the code to see if that fixes the issue. If not, I guess I'll have to make a dealer visit (would by my second visit in 3 years of ownership). I freaking hate going to the dealer though...
  21. Jkeaton, I bet you're getting those numbers with a cold engine though. Once it warms up, it'll drop a lot. Your gauge does look much cooler than our older thermometer gauge!
  22. Thanks a bunch for the diagram. I'm guessing this would be covered by 100k powertrain warranty right?
