  1. Same here, I've ran it down to the low fuel light many times, and was able to put 18-19 gallons in. Yet my gauge reads 7/8 full every time. I think the gauge is just wrong cause it seems like I'm using the full 21gal tank capacity (low fuel light comes on with about 2-3 gallons to go). Stupid gauge is wrong IMO.
  2. I'm in the same boat as you...just hit 83k miles and figured I'll be doing the transmission flush soon. Will probably cost $200 or so at the dealer. I hate to take it to the dealer since I do all of my own maintenance...but looks like I'll have to this time around!
  3. Yeah f*** it. Just trade in the vehicle before it needs new plugs, lol! Seriously though, this is my 11th vehicle I've ever owned. By far the WORST design to replace spark plugs on. I'm at 83k miles now and getting ready to replace the plugs in a few months. It looks a lot worse than it really will be. Should be able to knock it out in a couple hours.
  4. Looks really good! Thanks for the pics. What kind of headlights are those? Or did you put your own projectors in?
  5. I would just order where ever it's cheaper. Amazon usually beats most prices (unless they're on sale at other stores).
  6. I'm not too strict about rotating tires...every 12-15k miles or so (twice a year for me). I'm getting ready to put on my 3rd set of tires soon. The first two sets wore perfectly even between all 4 corners (original Kumho's and Yokohoma YK580's). Each set lasted a little over 40k miles. I think it's unnecessary maintenance to rotate your tires more often than that (same with changing your oil before the vehicle tells you too). But that's just my own opinion...and you know what they say about opinions!
  7. I've been putting the gear selector in neutral for a minute after engine start. Then go to R or D. There's no more clunk after doing that each time! R straight to D will always have a clunk. But if you do nuetral first, the clunk is gone. Try it out!
  8. Exactly. I use tirerack for the excellent reviews and surveys. But they are always more expensive due to $100+ in shipping costs. Plus they rarely have discounts like discount tire direct does.
  9. Did you do the wheels gray plastidip? Good choices!
  10. Sounds like you did get a great deal then! Just curious, why were you asking about the $33k price then, if you already got one for $29k?
  11. Here's the truecar link with those options on a AWD Crossroad in New York. $32,500 is the average selling price for that vehicle, with a truecar (excellent deal) price of $30,500. I'm surprised the price has gone up that much since I purchased mine 3 years ago. https://www.truecar.com/prices-new/dodge/journey-pricing/2015/53F5DCC5/?trimOptionIds=1-C-U,15-C-U,11-C-U,0-C-U,16-C-U,18-C-U,24-C-U,12-C-U,20-C-U,8-C-U,33-C-U,31-I,21-C-U,30-I&exteriorColorId=1036924&interiorColorId=1036922&incentiveIds=4000093051,4000118480&trimId=268733&zipcode=12201
  12. What is your location (since that plays a big factor into pricing)? Up front that seems way overpriced to me. I got my new 2012 Crew with all of the same options that you list out (minus back up camera and AWD) for $25k even. I would expect to pay around $27-28k for the vehicle you listed out...unless you're in Canada. Check out truecar.com to see what others are paying in your location.
  13. Yeah, I wanted to go 255/50/19, but didn't want to spend the extra $200 or so for the wider stance. I'll deal with the 235 series for another couple years for this price!
  14. Discount Tire is having a great deal on tires purchased on ebay. You get $100 off a $400 order, plus there are some $60-70 manufacture rebates on top of that for a few brands (Cooper, Bridgestone, Goodyear, etc). And it's free shipping for all tires. All the details are here: http://slickdeals.net/f/7703065-discount-tire-direct-coupon-motor-wheels-tires-100-off-400-or-more-w-stackable-rebates-free-shipping?v=1 I just bought a set of Cooper CS5 Touring in 235/55/R19 for $528 after all rebates. These are very highly rated all season tires. Excellent tire deals!
  15. That is wierd indeed. Why does the vehicle have a drain tube if there's no sunroof? Where is it draining from, the windshield area?
  16. People in this world are such a-holes. And the types of people that typically do that are the ones driving without a valid license or registration (hence why they hit, then run). I have a good idea, lets allow them all to get licenses now! That'll solve the problem!
  17. Yeah, but it's just artwork...do you really need the picture for each song to show? I guess it's somewhat nice, but definitely not needed. As long as the music plays, that's all that matters to me!
  18. Nope, no resistor needed. I've had different H16 LED fog light bulbs for a couple of years. Just looking to change up the color from cool white to yellow. Only difference with H16 bulbs is you have to trim off a little tab on the mounting clip...takes a minute to do. You'll see which ones need trimmed off when you compare it to the oem bulbs.
  19. Well, not much motion on here, so I'll go ahead and order the yellow tint and bulbs and report back!
  20. No they don't. Just push the ignition to acc or on (with no engine running). They'll have power in those two settings as well. We do it all the time!
  21. For my 2012 V6, it's every 8k miles, just like the manual says. The oil change reminder will come on at 8000 +/- 500 miles or so as a good reminder. My very first oil change indicator came on at 4k miles though; I'm guessing to remove the break in oil. So I changed mine at 4k, 8k, 16k, 24k, etc. With OEM filters and Mobile1 5w-30 since day one.
  22. They are everywhere on ebay and amazon. Just search for H16 LED bulb.
  23. I'm trying to picture if I'd like yellow fog lights with my 5000k HID headlamps. I would get some 5W LED fog lights as well as some yellow tint film to put over the fog light housing (About $15 for everything). Anybody done anything like that on the DJ? I'm not looking for extreme light output from the fogs or anything, just a good look to contrast the HID's. I've had the matching white LED fogs, but want to change it up. It's on a dark storm gray 2012 journey. http://www.ebay.com/itm/361079561359?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=630422868364&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.com/itm/281588112525?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=580598062000&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  24. Does this re-torqueing apply to AWD or FWD vehicles or both?
