  1. Looking around more, it says to check the oil pressure switch valve assemby voltage and harness for connection. Anybody got a chart that shows where this is located?
  2. Just got the code read and it's P06DA...something about oil pressure circuit. Looks like the common problem on other vehicles is the oil filter or oil filter o ring gone bad. What do you guys think?
  3. Yeah maybe...but the pressures rise and drop when they should. Sitting at idle is 25psi, full throttle maxed out at 80psi. Temperatures are all normal. 50deg f outside.
  4. On a road trip and just got a check engine light...Great. She runs perfectly fine though. Ah, didn't bring my bod code reader
  5. I know it's abnormal to be running that high at 1800 rpm, 75mph on the highway. Normally it runs at 30psi this is on a warmed up engine. What could cause the pressure to go this high?
  6. Holy crap, that's some low mileage! We put that many miles on her in 3 weeks!

That looks very slick! Just curious, why didn't you wrap the radio bezel and shifter bezel too? Looks like a lot of work, but I may have to add this to my to do wish list!
  8. Lube typically solves all problems, whether it be applied to a vehicle, house, wife, etc...it makes them all happy
  9. Just curious, what benefit would there be to still see the rear view camera when you're starting to move forward?
  10. Good review, we are in the same boat as you. 3 years and 85k miles later for us, still flawless performance. Only had one visit to the dealer for 3 TSB fixes: cylinder head swap, transmission flash, and fuel gauge fix. Never stepped foot in a dealer since then (do all my own maintenance too)! Love the vehicle too! And you can't get anything close to comparable for the same price new.
  11. It's really easy to run the power wire from the curt harness to the battery. I just ran it under the vehicle, zip tying it off in a few locations (under the driver side doors near the frame). Then just pull the wheel well cover and hook it up to the battery post. It's a lot faster to do that then take the vehicle to the dealer to get flashed!
  12. In my opinion, plastidip would be a better choice on the wheels. I've had wheels powdercoated before (and yes they do look better temporarily), but after a year or so they get chipped up from rocks and mounting/balancing tires. You can't really touch up powder coated wheels, so they start to look like crap. If you plasti dipped them, if they ever chipped, then just spray a little touch up on them and you're good to go again. Plus dip is much cheaper than powdercoat.
  13. FWD is good: less things to break, less maintenance, less weight (which equals better gas mileage) .
  14. Plan on about one can of plastidip for the grill and one can for each wheel. Do anywhere from 3-5 coats total (depending on how thick/durable you want the coat to be).
  15. Never bought anything from Amazon???? Holy crap, welcome to the new millennium! I buy ~$100 worth of stuff a month from Amazon!
  16. Got 85k on my DJ with no headlight covers or anything. They are just as perfect as day one. I personally wouldn't waste $54 on some plastic headlight cover. Of course I have a couple of rock chips on the hood and bumper that I've used a paint pen to fill in...
  17. I would personally go for LED lights. They are cheaper and will not burn out. I got mine put in, and turns out they are more amber than yellow. I'm still trying to decide if I dig it or not. I'll post some pics when I remember to see what ya'll think.
  18. The O2 sensor theory sounds bogus. It's not tied to the intake manifold in any way. I personally would disconnect the battery and let it sit overnight. Reconnect battery next day and drive it for 3 days to see if the code appears/clears on it's own. If it doesn't clear after a few days, use the OBDII reader to clear it. Wait another few days to see what happens. If it keeps coming back up, you may have to splurge for a dealer visit unfortunetely.
  19. I think it also takes time into account. How long had it been since your last change (I know you said 2500 miles)? 2500 miles for some could be 6 months ago, others like me, 2500 miles could have been 1 month ago! If it was 6 months ago, then I would expect it to come up so you're not running really old oil.
  20. What are you paying $11 a month for? Uconnect is free. Are you paying for sirius instead?
  21. For the windows I always use a razor blade, held at 45deg angle or so. Just scrape all along every window. It doesn't scratch at all...like steel wool might. For paint, I would use any old claybar and get to work...I use meguiars. But, I would let the new paint/clear coat cure for a few weeks before claybaring.
  22. Holy crap, I feel for you guys...that looks horrible. I complain when there's a couple dozen splattered bugs on the front 2 weeks after washing it! Crap like that above, you'd have to wash it every damn day!
  23. Lol, you think he's going to read all that jkeaton? He can barely post four words total! On the flip side, can you make a requirement to read a post similar to yours before anyone new can post on the forum? That would be a way to force all the one post wonders to read something before being able to post their ridiculous rants or useless posts.
