  1. Oh I definitely don't have regrets...just a shame that they charge more for a fake chrome plastic hubcap than the nice 19" alloy rims! Anybody want to trade ? I'll do it for free and save you the $500 upgrade! I was really contimplating having the dealer swap wheels with the 19" alloys too...
  2. I can't seem to find the oil filter part number any where for a 2012 DJ Crew with 3.5L. I would prefer the Mopar filter if possible. Anybody know where you can buy mopar parts besides at the dealership?
  3. Oh freak, I just realized they were fake plastic chrome hubcaps!!! That's totally lame. Why would the dealer charge an extra $500 for these plastic hubcaps compared to the nice 19" alloy wheels? I totally would've gone for the other wheels if I had known these were fake....
  4. Thanks for the response. I think I'm still going to play it safe and change the oil for the first time probably around 3,000 miles, then at 8000 mile increments after that. Side question, why are the majority of the members here Canadians? Is this a super popular car way up north?
  5. I can verify...in my 2012 Crew it is definitely a dummy switch. Does not dim the door/map pocket lights at all. The first dimmer switch dims everything inside. Maybe this was an optional add on for Journey's in 2012?
  6. Did you replace the stock 225/55/19 Kumho tires with those? They fit just fine without rubbing (even though they're a little wider)? Thanks!
  7. I thought it was the opposite, lower tire pressure for better mpg? Are you guys running air or nitrogen? The dealer I bought from has nitrogen on all their vehicles, and I've never had it before. Can I top of with regular air or does it have to be topped off with nitrogen? Is there really any benefit to nitrogen?
  8. Why do you change out the map lights and dome lights? I thought they were already LED lights in there? What interior bulbs would need changed to match the LED lights already in the car? It seems like the dome lights and map lights (front and back) area already LED lights. I think there's a cargo hatch light and the under door lights that are all normal bulbs that would need replaced to match. Anything else?
  9. Is there a writeup for HID's out there? It's unfortunet dodge didn't do it from the factory. HID's are needed to match the interior LED lighting! I'm very interested in getting HID's for the headlights and fog lights.
  10. Can't you just use chrome cleaner? You can find several types of chrome cleaner at any auto parts store.
  11. I'm interested in seeing what you guys come up with as well. Would be a nice option to add to the car if it could still look somewhat OEM...
  12. Good to know for future info. Thanks!
  13. Just purchased our gray Journey Crew last night for $25,100 plus tax/fees. It has all the Crew options except for the 8.4" screen and back-up camera. We didn't want to pay the extra couple thousands for those options. Seemed like a good deal at a couple grand under invoice! Totally love it so far! And we got 26mpg on the 150 mile drive home, which is a huge plus for an suv! I've got a couple questions for all of you. First, please tell me these leather seats will soften up over time! They are super hard right now and aren't too comfortable. Any way we can speed up the break in process on the seats? Second, what is the break in period for the new 3.5L engine? Are we supposed to change the oil after 1,000 miles, 2,000 miles, etc? I know it's recommended to do so, but I don't see anything in the manual. The manual says every 8,000 miles...but is that for regular oil or synthetic? Third, unfortunetely our wheels are already out of balance. Driving home the steering wheel was shacking a bit at 50-70mph. Will they cover a new tire rotation under warranty? I also noticed the 225/55/r19 oem tire size is hard to come by. Is there a different tire size we can run? I would prefer something with a wider tread pattern and softer ride if possible. I'm sure I'll have many more questions in the future. Thanks all!
