bigtsr got a reaction from Shawn855 in Vibration between 35 & 40 mph
Common complaint among many DJ owners.
My personal experience (based on my DJ) is that
it shifts into 6th gear at about 63 km/h or around 40 mph
for fuel economy and if you accelerate slowly without
either double tapping or a solid push of the gas pedal
it will lug the engine to achieve the speed you want.
I use manual mode sometimes in the city and run around
in 4th gear in traffic where our limits are 60 km/h / 40 mph.

bigtsr got a reaction from Bustamatic in 2011 Journey R/T Rolling backwards
Sparkyssxt this is not the way the ignition works on the 2011 and up.
According to past posts.
If you start the DJ then get out and walk away it can still be driven
until the first time it is turned off ( there may be a timed sequence for auto off)
but I have not tested.
So in theory you could walk away someone could get in drive it backwards
hit the fence/whatever and either stall it or timer sequence happens - hence
mystery movement/damage.

bigtsr got a reaction from PitCarver in uconnect incoming call help
Well that is what the "volume control" is for for "incoming calls".
Outgoing is a product of your speaking voice , ambient in car noise
and microphone placement.
"i cant hear who is calling me but they can hear me" is what was posted.

bigtsr got a reaction from OhareFred in uconnect incoming call help
Turn up the radio volume control it does phone audio during call.

bigtsr got a reaction from WytChoclitJ in Exterior cleaning process
I believe if your a automotive entusiast or live in an enviromentally crappy air
quality (next to a steel mill) this would be the way to go , having said that I
apply "Nu-Finish " polymer 2x a year from the day I pick them up and I have
never clay barred any of my cars.

bigtsr got a reaction from OhareFred in Suspension/lift kit for AWD?
I agree with Webslave on the subject I think in the long
run it could turn out to be expensive frustrating experience.
Would have-should have bought a Jeep!

bigtsr got a reaction from 2late4u in Can't Unlock Maps
It's been reported before and the usual result is that
the radio black box has to be replaced.
Make use of that warranty and get to a dealer.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from Elmwoodie in Power door locks stopped working. But power unlock still works.
Have you tried disconnecting the DJ battery for 10 - 20 minutes?
The same windshield washer motor is used for the front and rear
windows they just reverse the rotation on the DC motor.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from OhareFred in Weird mirror issues
Mirror wiring drivers door.
Let me know if this helps.

bigtsr got a reaction from OhareFred in Dodge Journey auto spinning ???
I think these posts are using the diesel and they do develop
shuddering problem with acceleration if the EGR valve is
starting to fail ,previous posts have pointed to this problem.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from Edi in No starting, starts in neutral, clicking at ignition
Transmission selector switch assembly maybe the problem in as
it starts neutral but not park.

bigtsr got a reaction from Addicted to Dodge in battery size
ESS or start stop FCA vehicles are equipped with a AGM battery and heavy duty starters .
at least that's what my Jeep Cherokee has on the build sheet.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in ** DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ** PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING A THREAD
They are working as designed.
The DRL is supposed to turn off when the signal is used.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from verse in Up and down tactometer
Yes it is normal , the power steering pump draws the rpm down
and the computer compensates to prevent stalling /rough idle.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in 2014 DJ no key detected
Try your second fob.
If that fails disconnect negative battery post at jumper point for 10 - 20 minutes
re-attach see if problem clears up.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in Fuel type ///mpg
Yes 20L/100km is rotten mileage.
It depends on several factors such as geography, temperature, vehicle weight and
least but not last your driving style in any given traffic situation.
AWD does worse than FWD as a rule.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in New here. Where is the PCV valve?
This for 2010 3.5 L DJ.
It would seem to me it must located at one end or the other of the hose going to the
airbox.Try youtube

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in Traction control light
Disconnecting the battery for 15 - 20 minutes resets the CanBus computer
network which controls all the primary functions in the DJ , it may resolve
electrical faults/gremlins but not always.
A bad battery causes many weird faults on todays computer controlled vehicles
that is why it should be load tested as part of fault finding particularly if you
don't know how long it has been in service.
If you goto FCA Chrysler website you can enter your VIN# and if there are recalls
outstanding it may well tell you but a dealer must do the work irregardless.

Welcome to the forum.
Tell us about your DJ.
What year is it?
Is it the original battery and have you had it load tested?
As for the German I have never seen such a problem posted .

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in New Dodge in the family
Nice wheels - maybe dad will get a chance for wheel time.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Signing Off: DJ is Gone!
Well as you know that is the one but there are a few others also to pick up fixes/mods etc.
