Nice. Was it hard to install? Where'd you get it? How much?

km-04 got a reaction from jkeaton in Intake resonator delete
I don't plan on doing this, but have seen the topic enough to ask just what the heck is it? For those that don't know, here is an interesting article on it.

You may find good results with the following items.
My wife's Explorer had a not so good scent coming from the vents after we bought it. Took it back to the dealership three times and they just sprayed a "scent" to mask the odor. I finally told her I'd take care of it. Bought a can of this and used just half of it and the smell was gone and has not returned. Did a little digging online and found out you don't really need to buy this product, you could just use Lysol or some such disinfectant. I went with this because Lysol makes me gag worse that roadkill, and the stuff I bought came with the handy dandy tube to stick into the vents to get down deep.

If the smell is in the fabric, try this;

I hunt and try to reduce my human scent as much as possible. This stuff really does work. I use it all the time, not just for hunting. I keep a bottle in the car all year long. When filling up at the gas station you sometimes step in the previous persons gas spill. A few squirts of this and the smell is gone in no time. I spilled some liquid from some artificial fishing bait (Berkley Gulp for those that fish) on a pair of gloves and wanted to see if this could handle it. I had to spray it twice, but it did get rid of the scent (I know, I could have just washed them, but where's the fun in that?). There are tons of brands out there, you don't have to use this particular one. I buy it in bulk at the end of the season for next season and to give to members of my family that just need to get rid of a stinky odor. Just google scent elimination.
Hope this helps.

km-04 reacted to 2late4u in First Flat Tire
do yourself a favor and go to harbor freight and buy you the 18 inch breaker bar with a 19mm socket , a lot easier to break them lug nuts loose with that then the wimpey wrench from the factory, catch them on sale and get both for less than $15. and use a coupon for a free gift to boot......

km-04 got a reaction from 2late4u in Looking to change the look of the DJ with these lights
Ok, update.
I figured I'd try just changing the bulb to see if that would satisfy my urge to "enlighten my Journey".(see what I did there?)
I switched out the OEM bulb with a Sylivania Xtravision, link below.
https://www.sylvania-automotive.com/products/headlights-and-fog-lights/xtravision/index.jsp
I liked the output, it is much better than the original, but I think it could be better. Thinking of switching them to the Silverstar Ultras, link below.

Haven't ruled out the HIR's.

km-04 got a reaction from jkeaton in code readers
Hey partner, think you might have misread if your comment was for me. OR, and more likely, I could have been a little clearer. My reader still works, I was offering up what works for me as an example of what he could get. Sorry for the confusion.

I've read enough here to know that is NOT the move to make already. Thanks for your suggestions.

km-04 got a reaction from onecrazyfoo4u in Goodbye Journey, Hello Durango!
Oh, I'd hunt with a Durango, just not the Citadel. I firmly believe that if I get a truck I'm gettin one to USE, not to look pretty. It's gonna get dirty and have a ding or two in the fender or quarter panel from sliding in the mud on a trail in the woods. I am NOT parking at the far end of the parking lot, sideways taking up multiple spots just so nobody parks close to it and risk gettin a door ding or scratch.

km-04 got a reaction from OhareFred in Spark plug replacement
Dang Fred, I did forget to mention that little detail, thanks for reminding me. I have the 3.6 L V6. Yep, coming up on 100k soon. No such luck here, it would be just for the plugs and labor.
I miss the days of popping the hood and grabbing a wrench/ratchet and gettin to business.....

km-04 got a reaction from jkeaton in Spark plug replacement
Thanks for the info guys, jkeaton and bfurth. I am glad you all gave me the lowdown on the differences. Maybe I won't try doing this myself. I am, by nature, a cheap bastard. If I can do it myself and save money I'm all for it, which I thought was the case here. Obviously I was way wrong on that. I just remember when everything was pretty much right there when you opened the hood and had easy access and didn't need special tools to do it.
2late4u, we apparently watched 2 different videos, sorry man. I just wasn't seeing what you were seeing, hence my confusion.

km-04 got a reaction from onecrazyfoo4u in Looking for 3 Row SUV
With the exception of the Tahoe, I think all of the other three would be a good option. The Ford may not have as much room as you'd tink ( both the wife and my father in law have 2015 Explorers). You know what the DJ is like. The Honda should fit the bill as well, it does have a decent amount of room/storage.
