I changed my rear turn signal for red LED, did not add load resistor and they work just fine. The first time I started the car after installing them it said that my light was burned but I left my turn signal on for about 30sec and everything went back to normal. It's been 6months and they only did that once while driving since then. And I used some cheap LED bulb bought on eBay.

    Hi Lucas;

Well, you'd obviously need a new screen and the lower stack, which is the plastic part with the blower, volume and tuning knobs and various buttons would also need to be replaced.

Beyond the antenna (and I believe the cable that connects it to the radio, unless they finally include the wire for that the way they supposedly do for the backup camera) the onscreen control of the air conditioning would not work unless you installed a new ambient sensor (and possibly a wire from the temperature sensor part of it . . . . that's been the subject of discussion in the past) and had the sales code added, which would likely be a not simple task.

    And that's about it.

Note that if you don't have Bluetooth now then voice command wouldn't work and there's no way to retrofit the feature.

    Rob,

As everyone said before, i dont think you can. I have a 2016 RT and i can assure you it came OEM.

I guess it is standard on RT trim, but was not available on the 2012 RT model.

    Sorry about that.

    Enjoy your new car.

Thanks everyone. So here's what I'll do.

I bought LED for my license plate a my trunk light. Didnt need to buy any more because my interior is already stock led.

I also won't change the exterior flashing, i dont have time to install resistors and all that kit, so i guess ill keep it as it already is.

Thanks @OhareFred, @Camper and @jkeaton for the help, I truly appreciate

Had you known the vehicle had been scrapped would you have paid however much you did?

If it was me I would be suing the seller for a full refund (and more) based on his (or her) misrepresentation and fraud and then start looking for another vehicle.

Why?  Because, for one thing you probably expected to have a new vehicle warranty - and salvage vehicles have none.  Also you have no idea if the vehicle is safe (apparently not if there are airbag issues) and the value is greatly diminished - it also has insurance implications if you were hoping to get 'replacement cost' coverage.

    Good luck.

As stated, you will need resistors to make led turns work.  I run regular non-canbus LED's in my 2013 interior and license plate. No issues.

Well, if you opened the cover for the cargo light and saw a 212-2, which is what is in my 09, get that type (a festoon I believe).  On a 2016 I would go Canbus

    I'm averaging circa 10.5L/100k.

on the highway it's usually around 8L/100k though. Using 91RON unleaded which is standard fuel here.

    Hi mfeel

We have two 12 R/T AWD Jouneys with the 3.6L pentastar .  We average about 12.5L/100KM city and about 9.8L/100KM on highway - over the last 5,000kms.
One has 78,000 kms and the other has 36,000 kms on the clock - both are about the same.

bigtsr and larryl are both correct.  New vehicles take time to break in and the mileage should improve - but it really depends on your particular driving style and how much time is spent sitting in traffic - stop and go driving, hilly terrain, etc...

I would reset my mileage clock at every fill up - but then if I spent the first half a tank of gas in city mode only with little or no highway trips my gauge would tell me I was at 18.5L/100kms - Yikes.... all city - stop and go , etc... but over 10-tanks of gas you should get a pretty good feel for the mileage that you are going to get.  On the highway - you can expect to get down to 9.5L - 10L / 100 kms - so longer trips it will do pretty well for its size and power (283HP after all).... speed plus the AWD will be negative factors.

My two - cents - for what it is worth.....

Sorry, in MPG it is  : 14-15.

After a full day driving, i noticed a better performance... how is that possible?

    Thanks.

Its a brand new vehicle that needs to be broken in. Give it some time and dont waste your money on a higher octane
    AWD makes a difference also

Personally a waste of money on an engine designed to run on 87. What mileage do you consider "bad"? We average maybe 19-20 around town, up to 26-28 on trips. That is very acceptable to me.

    Yes 20L/100km is rotten mileage.
It depends on several factors such as geography, temperature, vehicle weight and
least but not last your driving style in any given traffic situation.
AWD does worse than FWD as a rule.

Boy, the guys over there are nuts.  They all think that they are driving a Wrangler!  My TH does have a 2-speed transfer case and a locker rear diff.  So, apparently it is a real Jeep!  LOL.  A Jeep built on an Alfa Chassis!  What is this world coming to?

If you don't have the nav icon, you don't have a nav unit.  No sales codes required, though there are for the backup camera, once you get it installed.  If you have the nav icon but no lock, the nav may not be working or you don't have a functional satellite antenna.

I thought R/Ts came with 8.2 & SiriusXM standard?  At least they do in Canada.

Hello everybody. It was a great two years of ride with DJ. A lot has happened in the life and with the car. I've had mixed feelings leaving DJ at the dealership. Great car that can handle almost everything you throw into it, but I'm off to another ride. Thank you folks for keeping the forum live - i referred to the forum for experience and inspiration, even though admittedly haven't contributed enough to the forum.
All the best to all DJ owners and see you in this big small world!
