Trains123 reacted to jkeaton in Check engine light
That was From 3 years ago. And if someone comes on here and asks intelligent questions and explains things, I have no problem helping. But start saying how much of a pos your vehicle is, how you will never drive a dodge again, dodge sucks, you wasted all you money on this car, blah, blah, blah. You're not getting any help from me because you've already reached your own conclusion. So why keep bitching? Just to bitch and talk trash about dodge. I'll give it right back to those types of posters.

I have been watching 11journeybama, because he and I were so close. We were neck in neck. I PM'd him, to let him know I was onto his game: he was on the forum Liking posts until he couldn't Like any more, just to keep up with me, but wasn't posting. I asked him to come back, because I missed his humor. He never replied and now I am ahead of him, but nowhere near you 2!

Trains123 got a reaction from dhh3 in 2016 Journey - Models and pricing
Those are some lame colors, when they have limited colors like that I think its a sign for a short model year. That means new Journey coming soon!!! I could be wrong tho.

Trains123 reacted to journeygal in Windshield Washer Won't Work
Yay! The hose was disconnected! Great idea to have one of us in the car, pressing on the button and the other under the hood, watching the fluid dripping down. Kind of a chintzy hose. It wouldn't stay together. No threads, catch or other fastener. So we resorted to tape for now. Wonder what made it fall off. You'd think with 1500 miles in town driving and no potholes, it wouldn't be an issue, but who knows. The hose does seem a bit short where it meets. Thanks again for the help and quick response!

Trains123 reacted to bramfrank in E85 vs Gasoline
Even the E10 they supply is a waste - you'd actually burn less gasoline if there was no ethanol than you do with the E10 we use now - the mileage impact on my motorcycle, comparing E0 premium with E10 premium was 16% - so diluting the gasoline by 10% increases the actual amount of raw undiluted gasoline consumed per mile over what it does without.
Politics and marketing-driven garbage science. Bah.

Possibly the VVT adjusting the timing for the situation. I have felt it on occasion, but it is not enough for me to be concerned about.

Chrysler cut quite a few corners across all vehicles up through the 2010 model year. Vehicles manufactured after 2011 (or had mid-generation refresh in 2011 or later) have been of MUCH higher quality. Compare the inside of a 2009/2010 Journey with a 2015. Compare the engine offerings for the Grand Caravan/Town and Country from 2008-2010 with 2011 and later.
Fiat, and the lead up to the takeover, has been VERY good for Chrysler. It should have happened without the cash of the US federal government, but that's a discussion for another day.

Trains123 reacted to B4ZINGA in New license plate to compliment my Prius plate :)
FYI, the Journey is definitely not a gas guzzler. Not when the V6 can easily achieve over 30 mpg.
I don't understand the point of the Prius. It's expensive to buy, ugly as mortal sin (all generations), has no get-up'n'go to speak of, is damaging to the environment (how do you think that battery came into existance?), and the fuel economy figures are not very impressive compared to diesel VW Group vehicles and small-displacement Hondas. A hybrid does not yet exist that is worth buying. If you want good fuel economy and want to have a lower environmental impact, buy a modern diesel or a Tesla.

External colors - gray, grayer, white, whiter, black, or red. Glad I got me a Blue Streak Pearl 2015!
When did auto manufacturers decide that everyone wants a car in gray scale?

Trains123 reacted to dj cowboy in Besides the DJ, what else sits in your garage ?
Next to my 2013 DJ, is my wife's 2015 Jeep Cherokee, and our (my) 1966 Plymouth Satellite. I need to start working on it soon. The 383 BB is really heavy to move around.

Trains123 reacted to Darkpaw in Loud squealing noise cold start.
FYI, all 3.6 Pentastar engines will do this when "very" cold. If you're not seeing it on your DJ or DGC/CT&C, then it's just not cold enough where you are for you to see the issue.
It's embarassing, and not normal. I hope a fix is done for this soon. A bad pulley sounds like the best explanation I've heard on this so far. I expect a recall for both of my vehicles once they get this resolved. If not a recall, then a TSB noted on it, so I can go in and point to the TSB and say "replace it".

I love my 2013 DJ SXT it has 8,900 miles on it. Excited to use AWD. I get 24-26 mpg on the highway, 17-19 city. Great cruiser, perfect for trips. You will be making a great choice.
