So what do you guys think? I'm wanting to do more red, possibly doing the plastic trim around the bottom and the front!

I'm doing a MD2S 3.0 with Apollo 2.0 shrouds. Yes I have to cut up the bowls to sink the projectors to fit the large shrouds. This is what I have so far.

Here are some pics of the mock up... These are just loosely placed together to get a feel for the finished product. I still need to shave a little off the back of where the projector mounts...

So, went and drove around for an hour last night trying to find a spot to see the northern lights (didnt see them) but more importantly got my first real test of the lights. They are bright, brighter then what i first thought. I would say they are about 75% as bright as my HID kit i had on my 300 and only 75% because of the reflector housing not focusing the light. I got flashed once which brings me to a question. Is there a way to aim the headlights? i have looked for screws and online for info but i have not been able to find anything

Because he is a good retrofitter that has clients lined up waiting for his retrofits. :shades:

    the car is pearl white:

I now have mirror covers and the grey part of the lower grille (don't remember how this is called) painted black. I basically want to keep the 3 color scheme "white-black-red" throughout the vehicle and was disappointed that red front turn signals are illegal . Back are LED red, though

My retrofitted lights have arrived finally. After long waiting and splitting with cash, I received my lights. I have them already installed in the vehicle. Wouldn't even try to describe how complicated the harness is and how complicated it was to install them. It is really busy under the hood now.
It took 5 months from start to finish to get them done, wow...
Here is the bench test video from the retrofitter:

I replaced my headlights and fogs a while ago but never had the chance to post them. Here they are. 8k headlights and LED fogs. Its a 2012 DJ. I also replaced all the dome lights, the glovebox and trunk lid lights to LED.

Since purchasing my 2014 in May I've noticed something like that in my dimming rearview mirror, and it's very visible at all times. I've just figured it was residue left by something stuck to the mirror by the mirror manufacturer, someone in Toluca during assembly to tell workers what parts had to go in, someone during shipment from Toluca to Southfield, MI, or even someone at the dealer in Southfield.
I haven't gotten around to cleaning it yet since I honestly never think to clean the rearview in any of my cars. It looks vaguely like a barcode, which is what leads me to believe it's just residue.
If it doesn't clean off with Windex or Stoner's Invisible glass, try using a fine mesh netting in conjunction with the cleaner to lightly abrade the surface without scratching it. Invisible Glass cleaning wands available at many auto parts stores come with just such a netting for removing stuck-on junk like that. They're also fabulous for cleaning front and rear windshields without straining to reach, and I've used that netting bonnet to clean rubber transfer from the window weatherstripping. You can also try Goo-Gone.
All else fails, tell the dealer and find out if it can be replaced under warranty, as it may be something beneath the glass.

Just the fogs and park lights on. I never measured the height of the fogs yet but I do think I have to raise them up a bit.

It's just because they aren't focused very well by the reflector bowl. Looking at the light output, I'm guessing they are a little shorter than the stock bulb??? The distance that the light is away from the reflector changes the output and focus significantly. This is one of the reasons that cheap HID kits provide so much scatter even in a housing like ours that has pretty good focus and a nice cutoff...

I have done mine. 4 cans of color and 1 can of glossifier did a great job. I really like the anthracite grey, but black would look nice too. Definitely use the glossifier.
I have also done my grill and my lower front fascia. Stuff is easy to work with, but you need to do it just right to get smooth results.

I know that the last "generation" of the V3 had issues and that they were reworked... I'm thinking the ones in the video are the older ones.
I have baked several lights to either paint them or do retrofits. I am very comfortable with the process and prefer to do it myself. It is already expensive, no reason to pay someone that much money to do it for me. It was definitely a little daunting the first time and to say I didn't have doubts would be a lie, but it really isn't that difficult. Besides the permaseal issue I always buy another set of lights because I can take my time and do it right... Not quite as much as paying someone to do it, but a little extra cost is involved. It also allows me to put everything back to stock relatively easy if need be.

Chrysler uses "permaseal" and I will definitely be buying a second set of lights (from TYC, I assume that is the brand you were referring to?). I have experience with other HID kits and the differences between the cheap kits and the TRS or OEM brand bulbs are in the details, stuff most wouldn't notice unless they knew to look for it. For example, the cheap kits all have bulbs that are not perfectly perpendicular to the base of the bulb, meaning that the bulb is "cockeyed" which affects hot spot location and focus. The cheap kits also don't have the "hot spot" of the bulb at the "correct" distance from the base. This means that focus is compromised and is part of the reason for light scatter in OEM reflector housings. Most cheap kits also use cheaper gases which results in a large variation in color and intensity of the light produced. In my opinion, going with TRS products is the best option if you don't/can't go with an OEM brand like Phillips or Osram. Thanks for sharing your experiences...

Searched high and low to get this figured out as I am sure many have. Here is what we installed on our DJ:
    Front 20x9 (+35mm offset) 255/45 20
    Rear 20x10 (+50 offest with a 6mm spacer) 285/40 20
We had to use a 6MM spacer to get the clearance in the rear. It does not rub UNLESS you are getting a lot of articulation out of the suspension (pulling in sideways on a steep driveway - the angle of my driveway in the pic is not enough to do it).
We found these wheels for sale in the local classifieds off a 2008 Jeep SRT 8.

Thankyou Godfather! Even though the chrome bodyside moulding was way overpriced, I am glad I got it. I have never seen one on any Journey anywhere around here and there are a lot of them. Same for the gas cap. Seen lots on Challengers and Ram trucks but never on a Journey. Since I have the black carpet floor mats, I've noticed they show every grain of sand that gets tracked in. Might get another set for the front of carpet mats but a lighter colour. Not sure if Mopar makes such a thing. I will get some Weather Tech floor liners for the front only in the fall.
