2013 Journey Crew FWD, all options except rear seat video. 219,000 miles and the photo is after last weekend's wash. This has been one of the best cars we've ever owned. -

Oh good I'm glad it came through. Thanks for the compliments! I took that photo in late September when it was still nice and warm here, I had just washed the Journey and coated it with MaxEasy. That stuff works very nicely with Copper Pearl - it really makes it pop. As I write this, it's freezing outside and DJ and my Challenger are covered in wet snow! -

I attached a photo to my post from a few days ago but notice that it does not display unless I click in the blank field under my narrative. Do you all see it or not? -
Highest Mileage Journey... Who's in it for the long haul?

Hi all - I haven't been on the forum in a while. Life has been pretty busy! Still with my 2013 Journey Crew, now over 211,000 miles. The photo was from about six weeks ago. It still looks beautiful, it runs and rides right. Everything works. I had a Chrysler 300M for 22 years and 339,000 miles and thought nothing could be as good. We've got a while to go but this Journey is giving the Chrysler a really good run. We've had three fairly significant failures recently. A valve cover gasket leaked oil onto the starter and caused it to fail, so the car had to be towed for the first time for that. Another time the alternator stopped charging while my wife was driving, on her way to my shop she ran out of battery power literally a block away. I met her with the booster pack and drove it to my shop with the pack connected! Then last month, the power steering assist failed. The pump had fluid, it wasn't excessively noisy, there were no leaks and the belt was turning so I drove it to the shop. It was just a little tight at slow speeds. We replaced the pump and the rack and now it's perfect. The new rack still has that razor-sharp steering response that makes the car fun to drive. In 2013, Chrysler still offered a Lifetime Maximum Care service contract, so all three of these failures were covered with only the deductible as my responsibility. Even if they weren't covered though, I'd have made these repairs rather than get rid of the car. None of these failures can be considered unreasonable when the mileage exceeds 200K and twelve years of age. The only time we were ever stranded was for the starter, and only 15 miles from home so no biggie. I still love driving this car. It's smooth, quiet, reasonably powerful and very comfortable. They weren't very common in my area back when it was new and there are fewer still around now - and none in Copper Pearl which still looks really good to me. My kids were 9 and 13 when it was new. Both are grown up and have left the nest, but we still have our yellow lab who now has the whole back seat to himself. We use a Weathertech seat protector for him and the seat is still in great condition. -

Am I too late? I only saw your message today, logged in to DealerConnect and checked your options and the codes are already there. Sorry!

HI Tina - yes, a Sales Code has to be added to the vehicle's configuration, and then the vehicle reconfigured so that the new code is recognized. This enables the trailer wiring and allows it to work. I can add the sales code for you; however your Journey will still have to go to a dealer in order to be reconfigured. So with that being said, you may as well just have them add the sales code and then reconfigure it all at once. If you prefer that I add it for you and then you take it in for the reconfig, then please provide me with the last eight characters of your VIN and the approximate mileage, and I can add the code for you.

http://5EFC7023-9D4D-4645-BFAD-F1C849B3035E_1_201_a.heicHello everyone! Still alive and kicking! Here's my 2013 Journey, now 10 years old with 166.000 miles. Had our first round of trouble where a valve cover gasket leaked, oil ran into the starter motor and shorted it out. Replaced the gasket, starter, battery, replaced the plugs with the intake out and changed the oil and filter. Three days later something sliced the passenger side rear tire on the Cross Bronx Expressway (shocker) but I was able to get the temporary spare on to get us home. New tire this weekend, and she runs and rides perfectly once again. This car has held up exceptionally well and still looks really good doing it. (I thought the photo would be attached but it's just a link to it, sorry) 5EFC7023-9D4D-4645-BFAD-F1C849B3035E_1_201_a.heic

Still a very happy Journey owner. Nine years, 158.000 miles, and the car continues to be extremely reliable, comfortable, quiet and fun to drive. We've done a lot of traveling in this car and it has never been problematic on any road trip. It has not once failed to start. I'm not crazy about the 62TE transmission's shift programming and sometimes I use AutoStick and just do it myself, but the transmission itself is trouble-free. Last fall I replaced all four struts and installed new Michelin Primacy Touring A/S tires which are even smoother and quieter than the Kumho Solus tires that came with it, plus they are much better in the snow (my Journey is FWD, not AWD). Had the cam and lifter tick which developed a few thousand miles ago - it was just noisy, no engine light, and I have Lifetime Maximum Care which covered that repair with a $100.00 deductible and she's once again smooth and silent. Everything works. Here's a photo of it next to my new Challenger. Hard to tell which is the new car in this photo! 01C36DA7-EC8E-4D43-8DCF-46188A8533A6_1_201_a.heic

Journey 3-27-2022 154K miles.jpg

Hey RT Man - good to see you too. I know I've been scarce on these pages but I still love my DJ. 155K miles, recently put four shocks and new Michelins all around, just did the exhaust cam on the front cylinder bank for the cam and lifter tick, and it runs smooth and silent once again - until three weeks ago when it got hit yet again. This is the third time in the bodyshop ( it got hit twice in two weeks several years ago and we combined those two repairs) and it's being repaired yet again. But we still love it and have no plans to sell or trade it. -

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I am still a very happy Journey owner. Washed and detailed it today and it's sitting in my driveway looking beautiful. Eight years and 140,000 miles, and the car has been superb. We had a major collision late in 2014 at 30K miles when a young driver blew a red light and destroyed the whole front end of the car. It was repaired properly and 110K miles later, the car has had very few issues. The Radio Frequency Hub began intermittently dropping phone connectivity and was replaced. I had a bad temperature door actuator for the rear heater, and the usual P0128 thermostat rationality that affects nearly every 3.6 ever built. The important thing is that the car has never once left my wife stranded anywhere, and it remains quiet, comfortable and economical. It could now use a set of shocks - the body motions are not as controlled as they used to be. I went 110K miles on the original rear brakes. Three years after the last payment, we have no intention to get rid of it anytime soon. She loves the car as do I. My kids are out of the house now but our yellow lab goes everywhere in it with us. If I had to replace it tomorrow, I'd be disappointed that I couldn't buy another new one. Here's a shot in the driveway from two years ago with the coffin up top getting ready to help move my oldest son home from college.

The oil filter adapter housing is a powertrain-covered repair. Post the last 8 digits of your VIN and the mileage and I can check coverage for you.

P06DD Pertains specifically to oil pressure as measured at the dual stage oil pump, where P0520 Is the pressure sensor under the intake. That is definitely the more common one. The oil pump falls under powertrain coverage. If your Journey is within the powertrain warranty then there would be no charge to replace it. The pressure sensor is a Basic 3/36 Warranty item.
