  1. CDNGeer, I'm glad you're happy overall but I'd like to see if I can help with some connection issues with Bluetooth vs. USB with streaming and text messaging. Some Iphone compatibilities don't work but I can take a deeper look just in case. If you PM me your VIN I can check it out.
  2. Bubba, Sorry to learn of your experience with your DJ. Were the pads and rotors fine ? I always recommend getting a hold of our Customer Service to document your concerns even though it was done under warranty. If your get a chance, contact Chrysler Canada Customer service at 1-800-465-2001, it's worth getting your feedback/experience into the system.
  3. MoReese613, These emblems do look good and it helps make the Journey stick out quite nicely versus the others on the road. I really don't think CND dealers can get these though, I did a search and you can find these on the net however. Make sure to share some pics if you get this setup.
  4. humansoul, Good points here, I always like having our customers get a hold of Customer Assistance, especially with repeated issues. We can get it in the system and get track of things, can make a big difference in an out of warranty situation. Service Mangers are a great resource as well, for the most part they are always willing to use our goodwill for customers with issues such as these. Thanks for sharing your insight.
  5. Chris1276, It would be worth giving your dealer a quick call to make sure this it is in fact an update that is needed, I've seen a few cases where there were other concerns. Definitely don't want to raise any red flags but that's where I'd start and then go from there.

    Farewell

Good afternoon everyone, Its been a short run for me here however moving on to other opportunities to help out customers. I've enjoyed my time here on the forum. I only hope that I was as much help to you all as you were to me. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my replacement, Wes! He comes from our Senior Resolution Team and carries with him just as much knowledge as I do about the DJ and will be more than happy in carrying on in this great forum. Please give him a hard time! (just kidding) Thanks Again, You all will be missed!
  7. gagles, Just following up on this thread. Did you get a chance to take your DJ to the dealer and have it looked over? If so what did the dealer have to say?
  8. 13DODGE, For future reference I feel my counterpart located this information from page 42 of your 2013 DJ Owner's Manual (First Edition). Never know when it may come in handy again! ((If you don't have the hard-copy, send my a PM)).
  9. Just went out to the parking lot, compared a SXT and Crew to an R/T. I didn't have a measuring tape with me however size-wise they all look the same. (All and the 19" wheels).
  10. bramfrank, I think at this point we can't rule out a software or hardware issue. Could go either way. I checked quickly for all 2011 DJ and didn't find any updates that seemed to apply to this complaint, however that doesn't mean there isn't one. Best thing to do here is get back to your dealer and speak with the Service Manager. I would go try and test another '11 DJ they may have on the lot to compare. If yours seems to be defective, the dealer can proceed from there. If at any time you need my assistance, please send me a PM.
  11. Hawaii, Found a kit available through our dealer network that looks pretty cool. Mopar Fog Lights: These lights undercut inclement weather and minimize glare. They are designed specifically for your vehicle and provide an integrated look. Additional Details: Fog Lights, Complete kit, same as production, for vehicles without Auto Headlights Part # 82212736 Looks like we have a few dealers that carry this in stock in the GTA area, if not, are national depot has a bunch. I would go see your local dealer (Parts Department) and confirm via your VIN# that this kit is compatible for your DJ, as well as pricing, installation. Hope this helps!
  12. gradoman, http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/4638-distortion-through-usb-cd-player-aux/#entry27910 I know we discussed this a few weeks ago, redtomatoman said it best there at the end. I would sit down with the dealer and try to compare it with another DJ with same radio. Speak with the Service Manager. If you need any help, send me a PM.
  13. gradoman, Lots of good ideas already on this topic, sure is puzzling however. I could understand the USB and/or I pod/Aux causing static however if you're using store-bought CDs and these are still causing static then me too, questioning if there is something wrong with the sound system in your DJ. - Did you try different CD's? - Try a different mp3 player/Ipod/USB stick? Try unplugging and aftermarket accessories you may have (car phone charger, GPS, etc.) Do the same songs that give you static in the DJ do that through other devices? Computer? on your phone? CD player? If we rule most of this out and it's still happening, might be time to send the DJ back to the dealer, check for updates, contact engineering, etc, etc. Let us know how you make out!
  14. CDNGeer, I'll send you a PM so we can discuss some options to check the status of your vehicle.
  15. Psyke, Like most options/trim levels there are variances based on build date, part availability and the way the vehicle was ordered. If your dealer has offered to take a look at the DJ with you, I don't think that'll hurt. At least that way they can confirm and put the speculation to rest either yes its supposed to work and is defective or no it is a "dummy" switch/dimmer.
  16. saskaman, Owner's manual is right, your Journey with the 3.6L uses 5W20 grade oil. It becomes your call if you want the dealer to replace the oil that was added. Speak with the Service Manager at your dealer as to why they used the 5W-30. Based off your location/climate they may have opted to use the 30, however again Chrysler recommends 5W-20 for your vehicle.
  17. I'll echo everyone's comments, There might be a few updates available for the software but the fact that it's intermittent is interesting. Maybe wouldn't hurt to consider fuel quality. Have you always fueled up at the same station? Maybe change for a few tanks...
  18. CDN Geer, Unless you're carrying around a bunch of little ones then the 7- seater is a good choice. If you don't have all the kids, the 3rd row stows fairly flat. 3rd row is small however if you're trying to use it for adults. 5 seater like most of us have said is great for the extra storage room and saves some money too by getting rid of that option!
  19. Canadian Paul, Glad to hear the dealer was able to take care of this issue on your DJ. Quick comment on rotations and winter tires: As per the owner's manual for the 2011 Dodge Journey you should have the tires rotated at or before every 13,000KM interval. Keeping in mind that typically winter tires do have a softer compound therefore may wear quicker then summer/all-season tires.
  20. Hi all, Went out this morning and tried to duplicate this concern on a 2012 DJ with the 4.3 we had in the yard. On this vehicle I was able to switch between my BT connection playing music as well as keeping my iPod connected via the USB port in the centre console. I would suggest bringing your DJ into the dealer to have them check and make sure your software is up-to-date. Does it make any difference if you say 1st unplug the flash drive, connect the BT, then plug back in the flash drive? Let us know.
  21. And the "Journey" continues...... of course, no pun intended!
  22. rolly, Glad to see they got that radio to the dealer for you quick! Let me know how you make out after they install the new one.
  23. kamhillbilly, I sent you a PM earlier today (4:45pm ET) let me know if you got it. Let's take a look and see what we can do.
