  1. Hello everyone, Wanted to take some time to sit down and introduce myself to the forum. As most of you are aware, my predecessor, DennyB, has moved on to his new position within Chrysler and I'm here to take his place. Don't be shy. Send me your comments, questions, likes, and anything else you have on your mind. Let's help each other out and have some fun! Does anyone have interesting plans/trips with your Journey for the long weekend?
  2. Good afternoon everyone, I just wanted to post and bid you all a gracious farewell. I will be taking on new challenges here within Chrysler Canada and wanted to let you all know that I've enjoyed my time here on the forum. I only hope that I was as much help to you all as you were to me. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my replacement, Mr. BrettS! He comes from our Senior Resolution Team and carries with him just as much knowledge as I do about the Journey and will be more than happy in carrying on in this great forum. Please give him a warm welcome (and be nice)!!! Thanks Again, You all will be missed!
  3. vermie, Sorry to here of the shutter issue you have experienced with your Journey and I'm glad your dealer seems to be addressing the concern for you. Once the repairs are completed feel free to send me a PM and let me know how things went. I look forward to hearing back from you.
  4. Good Morning all, Yes the delay is normal - My 2010 Journey and my Ram have the delay. Being a farm boy, I'm always on the horn with the neighbours and I agree, it would be nice to be able to say "hi" to your neighbour without them thinking you're mad a them! It is the design and is like that in a all newer model years.
  5. AllStar, PN 5178283AB is a lower fascia panel which can be ordered from your local dealer and don't be concerned with the AA AB AC, that is just a way to differentiate from part generations. Also, that PN is for the 2008 through 2011 MY Journeys. Let me know if you need help placing your order.
  6. Bestmilkman, I'm sorry for the delay and sorry you are experiencing issues with your Journey, Is your Journey still at the dealer? What has happened since your post? If you need any help, please do not hesitate to send me a PM as we would be more than happy to ensure your vehicle is repaired correctly with the help of our Technical Assistance Group.
  7. dominator, I'm really sorry to see you've been having issues with your Journey. I will send you a PM, please reply with the case number you were provided when you called customer care or your VIN - both with your name and the name of your dealer. Thank you in advance and, again, sorry for the issues you have encountered.
  8. Eric, Happy to hear you got your Rallye back and all is well - I'm still surprised that this happened though and on the behalf of Chrysler Canada Inc. I would like to apologize. If you have any comments, questions or any concerns in the future, please don't be afraid to send me a PM. Have a great day.
  9. arsh, There are no kits available to upgrade to the 8.4 as of yet and going to a junk yard to pull a head unit out of a 2012 isn't going to work as the modules aren't the same. You best option is to make contact with the Parts Dept at your locale dealer and let them know of your intentions and they will let you know when the kit is available. The only way you would have be able to have the 8.4 is with a factory order at this time. Sorry for the bad news.
  10. bio, As advised via PM, the word from my tech guys is that the towing capacities were reduced for cooling purposes to avoid any potential issues. The engineers dictate the towing rating of a vehicle which is based on suspension\brake, drivetrain and cooling components. This decision was not to complicate things but to protect the consumer from any unwanted stress. Hope that clears things up for everyone regarding this topic.
  11. ghost, I was able to look in to this and have been advised by our technical assistance group that when the limited use spare tire is installed the wheel speed sensor registers that wheel is spinning faster and turns the AWD is system off - this is programmed in the ABS/AWD controller software. Hope that helps.
  12. Mike, Sorry to see you're experiencing some difficulties with your leather steering wheel wrap. Have you brought this to the attention of Customer Care? I ask this as this would be a situation best suited to be reviewed in detail. If you have not, please send me a PM with you full name, VIN and dealer name so that I can investigate this for you.
  13. bio, Sorry to hear about the issues you've had with your 2010. I hope your dealer was able to get all your issues resolved. Let us know how you like your '13 once you drive it a bit.
  14. Eric, I'm really sorry this happened. Send me a PM with your VIN, Name and Dealer Name and I will investigate with them to ensure that all is correctly addressed.
  15. tahir, There is a Mopar Blue Tooth Kit for the 4.3 only. (Nothing for the 8.4s) See your local dealer and speak with both the service and parts managers to ensure that the all the required parts are ordered and the installation is completed correctly.
  16. h, I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your dealer. If you would like, please send me a PM with your name, VIN and Dealer name and i can investigate your concerns or possibly refer you to another dealer that will be willing to review your concerns for you.
  17. wingit, You are not obligated to go to 16,000kms, that is the max allowable. If you want to follow the 5,000KMs or 3 months your dealer recommends, please do so as they would be recommending this based on your location, weather, driving habits, etc... Every part of the country is different and most dealers will have different recommendations.
  18. Nicksys, The seat cushion is not removable but you could unbolt the entire seat but it's recommended you don't. Bring your Journey to your dealer and let them take care of that for you seeing as the seats are cumbersome and you cause damage to other panels. Unfortunately there is no easy way to get that ring, sorry.
  19. ghost, Congrats on the 2009 and welcome to the forum! If you ever have any issues you need help resolving, everyone here is very supportive and helpful and will be clad to lend a hand. If you need any direct assistance, don't be afraid to PM me. Have a great day!
  20. Congrats and welcome to the Forum!!!
  21. zmttoxics, Have you had any further issues since the beginning of the week?
  22. best, Send me a PM with your VIN, Name and dealer name if you need any help finding a resolution..
  23. Broken, I'm sorry to see you're having issues with your AWD system. There can be a combination of things that could affect the system such as tire size (which your dealer has addressed) but that being said, my only recommendation at this point is to continue with your dealer. If the light comes back on, call the dealer and then get in as soon as you can or contact Road Side Assistance to get it towed in. If you go that route, do not let the tow truck driver touch anything, just have them tow it and that's it. The reason I say this is that they could inadvertently clear any codes - active or stored - and we're back to square one. Also, please don't clear any codes yourself, they are what help us and the dealer investigate an issue. Keep me posted and if need be, if/when it happens again, send me a PM.
  24. Rolly, Thanks for the vote of confidence. Chris and I are always to help as best we can and do appreciate everyone's feedback and willingness to help each other. The loyalty seen here helps enforces the the work done by Chrysler in improving vehicle and customer care.
